Claims (11)
- 対象への抗生物質の投与により潜在的に誘発された有害予後の増大したリスクを有する原発性非感染症疾患に罹患している対象の識別のための診断方法であって、以下のステップ：
(i) 原発性非感染症疾患に罹患している前記対象から体液のサンプルを提供し、
(ii) 少なくとも12のアミノ酸残基長を有するプロカルシトニン(PCT)若しくはその断片、又は前駆体若しくはその断片の前記サンプル中のレベルを測定し、
(iii) 抗生物質の投与により誘発された潜在的なリスクと前記の測定されたレベルとを関連付けること、
を含む、診断方法。 - 前記予後が有害事象である、請求項1に記載の診断方法。
- 前記予後が死亡である、請求項1又は2に記載の診断方法。
- 前記対象が、循環器疾患、心疾患、癌、CNS疾患、糖尿病、自己免疫疾患、及び炎症関連疾患からなる群から選択される原発性非感染症疾患を有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の診断方法。
- 前記原発性疾患が、鬱血性心不全である、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の診断方法。
- 前記原発性疾患が、急性心不全である、請求項5に記載の診断方法。
- 前記原発性疾患が、慢性心不全である、請求項5に記載の診断方法。
- 前記サンプル中の200 pg/mL未満のPCT若しくはその断片、又は前駆体若しくはその断片の濃度が、抗生物質の潜在的投与により誘発された増大したリスクと相関する、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の診断方法。
- 前記サンプル中の50 pg/mL未満のPCT若しくはその断片、又は前駆体若しくはその断片の濃度が、抗生物質の潜在的投与により誘発された増大したリスクと相関する、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の診断方法。
- 原発性非感染症疾患に罹患している対象の、抗生物質の投与により誘発された有害予後の増大したリスクを有する対象の群、及び抗生物質の投与により誘発されたリスクを有しない対象の群への層別化のための、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法の使用。
- 原発性非感染症疾患に罹患している対象の、抗生物質の投与により誘発された有害予後の増大したリスクを有する対象の群、及び抗生物質の投与により誘発されたリスクのない対象の群への層別化のための、PCT若しくはその断片、又は前駆体若しくはその断片に対する一つ又はそれ以上の抗体を含むキットの使用。
