Abstract
Description
Dp=K×((dr×(100−%r)/%r)/(1+dr/ds×(100−%r)/%r)
によって定義され、式中、Dpは含浸前の不織紙シートの見掛け密度であり、drは硬化樹脂の密度であり、dsは含浸前の不織シート中の固体材料の密度であり、%rは最終コア構造中の重量%単位での硬化樹脂含量であり、Kは1〜1.5の値を有する数である。
不織シートの見掛け密度は、約50kPaの圧力でASTM D645−97により測定される不織シートの厚さと、ASTM D646−96により測定される坪量とを用いて計算した。繊維デニールは、ASTM D1907−07を用いて測定した。
81重量%のp−アラミドフロックおよび19重量%のメタ−アラミドフィブリッドを含む高モジュラス高強度の繊維不織シートを従来の製紙装置で形成した。パラアラミドフロックは、1.5デニール/フィラメント(1.7デシテックス/フィラメント)の公称フィラメント線密度、6.4mmのカット長、24グラム/デニールの靭性および960グラム/デニールのモジュラスを有するKevlar(登録商標)49であった。このような繊維は、E.I.DuPont de Nemours and Company(Wilmington、DE)から入手可能である。メタ−アラミドフィブリッドは、米国特許第3,756,908号明細書(Gross)に記載されるように作製した。
Dp=K×((dr×(100−%r)/%r)/(1+dr/ds×(100−%r)/%r)
に基づいて、最終コア中約65重量%の樹脂含量に対して0.50g/cm3の不織シート見掛け密度を目標とした。上記式中、Dpは含浸前の不織シートの見掛け密度であり、drは硬化樹脂の密度(1.25g/cm3)であり、dsは含浸前の不織シート中の固体材料の密度(1.4g/cm3)であり、%rは最終コア中の重量%単位でのマトリックス樹脂含量であり、Kは1.0〜1.5の値を有する数である。
高モジュラス高強度の繊維不織シートを実施例1のように形成したが、0.85g/cm3の見掛け密度および2.5オンス/平方ヤード(85グラム/平方メートル)の坪量までカレンダー加工した。シートのGurley多孔度は約5秒であった。
Claims (7)
- 複数の折り畳みモザイク式配置を含むコア構造であって、前記折り畳みモザイク式配置が、さらに、
(a)少なくとも200グラム/デニール(180グラム/デシテックス)のモジュラスおよび少なくとも10グラム/デニール(9グラム/デシテックス)の靭性を有する繊維を含む不織シートと、
(b)硬化樹脂および不織シートの合わせた重量の百分率としての硬化樹脂の重量が少なくとも50パーセントであるような量の硬化樹脂と
を含み、樹脂による含浸の前に、
(1)前記不織シートが、式Dp=K×((dr×(100−%r)/%r)/(1+dr/ds×(100−%r)/%r)(式中、Dpは含浸前の前記不織シートの見掛け密度であり、drは前記硬化樹脂の密度であり、dsは含浸前の前記不織シート中の固体材料の密度であり、%rは最終コア構造中の重量%単位での前記硬化樹脂含量であり、Kは1.0〜1.5の値を有する数である)から計算される見掛け密度を有し、
(2)前記不織シートが、30秒/100ミリリットル以下のGurley多孔度を有する
コア構造。 - 前記不織シートが、70〜100重量%の繊維および0〜30重量%のバインダーを含む請求項1に記載のコア構造。
- 前記不織シートが、湿式不織シートである請求項2に記載のコア構造。
- 前記バインダーが、m−アラミドフィブリッドを含む請求項2に記載のコア構造。
- 前記繊維が、p−アラミド繊維を含む請求項2に記載のコア構造。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のコア構造と、前記コア構造の少なくとも1つの外部表面に取り付けられた少なくとも1つのフェースシートとを含む複合パネル。
- 前記フェースシートが、樹脂が含浸された繊維、プラスチックまたは金属から製造される請求項6に記載の構造パネル。
