Abstract
【解決手段】回転自在に支持されたローラ本体2と、前記ローラ本体2の内部に配置され、当該ローラ本体2を誘導発熱させる誘導発熱機構3と、前記ローラ本体2及び前記誘導発熱機構3の間に形成される概略筒状をなす隙間部Xに霧状の冷却媒体を流通させる冷却機構8と、前記ローラ本体2の内部に残留する液状の冷却媒体を前記ローラ本体2外部に排出する液状媒体排出機構9とを備える。

Description
このように構成した本実施形態に係る誘導発熱ローラ装置100によれば、霧状の冷却媒体をローラ本体2内に導入することにより、霧状の冷却媒体がローラ本体2の内周壁に接触して蒸発するときの気化潜熱及び霧状の冷却媒体がローラ本体2内で温度上昇するときの顕熱並びに気化蒸発するときの潜熱によりローラ本体2又は誘導発熱機構3を冷却することができる。そして、霧状の冷却媒体をローラ本体2及び誘導発熱機構3の間に形成される概略筒状をなす隙間部Xの軸方向端部から導入するとともに、隙間部Xの軸方向端部から冷却媒体をローラ本体2外部に排出することにより、隙間部X全体に霧状の冷却媒体を行き渡らせることができる。また、霧状の冷却媒体を用いているので、ローラ本体2に接触する冷却媒体を少なくすることができ、ローラ本体2内壁の腐食、不純物の堆積等を抑制することができる。
なお、本発明は前記実施形態に限られるものではない。

Claims (4)
- 回転自在に支持されたローラ本体と、
前記ローラ本体の内部に配置され、当該ローラ本体を誘導発熱させる誘導発熱機構と、
前記ローラ本体及び前記誘導発熱機構の間に形成される概略筒状をなす隙間部に霧状の冷却媒体を流通させる冷却機構と、
前記ローラ本体の内部に残留する液状の冷却媒体を前記ローラ本体外部に排出する液状媒体排出機構とを備える誘導発熱ローラ装置。 - 前記液状媒体排出機構が、前記隙間部の下部に吸引口が設けられて前記ローラ本体外部に延出された液状媒体排出管と、前記ローラ本体外部において前記液状媒体排出管上に設けられて前記吸引口から液状の冷却媒体を吸引する吸引ポンプとを有する請求項1記載の誘導発熱ローラ装置。
- 前記吸引ポンプが、前記冷却機構により前記隙間部に霧状の冷却媒体を流通させている間、前記吸引口から液状の冷却媒体を吸引するものである請求項2記載の誘導発熱ローラ装置。
- 前記液状媒体排出機構が、前記隙間部に残留する液状の冷却媒体の液面を検知する液面センサを備えており、
前記液面センサにより得られる検知信号により前記液状の冷却媒体の液面が所定以上となった場合に、前記吸引ポンプが前記吸引口から液状の冷却媒体を吸引するものである請求項2記載の誘導発熱ローラ装置。
