Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a printer that performs printing by ejecting ink droplets onto continuous paper.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there is known an ink jet printer that performs printing by ejecting ink droplets onto a continuous sheet in which feed holes are formed at predetermined intervals at both end portions in the paper width direction (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The ink jet printer described in Patent Document 1 includes a line head (print head) in which nozzles are formed in the entire area in the paper width direction, and ejects ink droplets from the line head to perform printing on continuous paper. In addition, the ink jet printer includes a tractor that engages with a continuous paper feed hole and conveys the continuous paper.
In the case of continuous paper in which feed holes are formed, paper dust tends to be generated from the feed holes. For this reason, in an ink jet printer that performs printing on continuous paper with feed holes formed, paper dust generated from the feed holes tends to clog the nozzles of the print head, and as a result, dot dropout occurs and print quality tends to deteriorate.
In addition, when the continuous paper to be printed by the ink jet printer is, for example, preprinted paper on which a frame, a ruled line, or the like is preprinted, conventionally, a preprinted frame or the like, characters printed by the printer, and the like In order to prevent this deviation, confirmation printing (test printing) is performed in advance, and the deviation of the actual printing position from the target printing position is measured. In addition, the alignment of the continuous paper for correcting the deviation measured by the confirmation printing is performed. However, when confirmation printing for aligning continuous paper is performed, continuous paper and ink are wasted.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to prevent the clogging of the nozzles of the print head due to paper dust generated in the continuous paper feed hole, and the continuous paper conveyance direction without performing confirmation printing. It is to propose a printer capable of aligning continuous paper in the printer.
In order to solve the above problems, a printer according to the present invention includes a print head that ejects ink droplets toward a continuous sheet in which feed holes are formed at predetermined intervals at both end portions in the paper width direction, and at least the conveyance of the continuous sheet. A cover member that covers the feed hole in an installation area of the print head in the direction, and at least one of the cover members disposed on both ends in the paper width direction includes the continuous paper in the transport direction. A reference position for performing the alignment is marked.
The printer of the present invention has a cover member that covers the feed hole at least in the print head installation region in the continuous paper conveyance direction. For this reason, the cover member can prevent the paper dust generated in the feed hole from rising toward the print head. Therefore, it is possible to prevent paper dust generated in the feed hole from adhering to the nozzles of the print head, and as a result, it is possible to prevent clogging of the nozzles of the print head due to the paper dust.
In the present invention, the cover member is marked with a reference position for aligning the continuous sheet in the transport direction. Therefore, in the present invention, it is possible to perform alignment of continuous sheets in the transport direction with reference to the reference position marked on the cover member without performing confirmation printing. Therefore, for example, even if the continuous paper is pre-printed paper, it is possible to prevent a deviation between a pre-printed frame or the like and characters printed by the printer without performing confirmation printing. In the present invention, since the reference position is marked on the cover member that covers the continuous paper feed hole, the reference position is not covered by the continuous paper. Therefore, it is possible to perform the alignment of the continuous paper while confirming the reference position marked on the cover member, and the operation of aligning the continuous paper is facilitated.
In the present invention, if the continuous paper discharge side in the transport direction is the downstream side, the reference position is marked at a position where the nozzles at the downstream end of the print head are arranged in the transport direction. Is preferred. That is, the reference position is preferably a print start position at which printing by the print head is started in the transport direction. With this configuration, the position of the continuous sheet in the transport direction is completed by aligning the position of the continuous sheet where printing is desired to start with the reference position marked on the cover member. Therefore, the operation for aligning continuous sheets is facilitated.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the cover member is marked with a scale at a constant interval from the reference position. If comprised in this way, it will become possible to confirm easily the deviation | shift amount of the continuous paper with respect to a reference position. Further, if the continuous sheet is conveyed by a predetermined amount based on the confirmed deviation amount, the alignment of the continuous sheet is completed. Accordingly, it is possible to shorten the time required for alignment of continuous sheets.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the scale marked every predetermined number is thicker and longer than the other scales. If comprised in this way, it will become possible to confirm the deviation | shift amount of the continuous paper with respect to a reference | standard position more easily.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the reference position is marked on both of the cover members disposed on both ends in the paper width direction. If comprised in this way, it will become possible to perform alignment of a continuous paper accurately using the reference position marked on the both ends in the paper width direction.
In the present invention, the cover member is preferably movable in the paper width direction. If comprised in this way, even if the width | variety of the continuous paper used with a printer is changed, it will become possible to cover a feed hole with a cover member by moving a cover member to a paper width direction. Therefore, even if the width of the continuous paper used in the printer is changed, it is possible to prevent clogging of the nozzles of the print head due to paper dust. Also, with this configuration, when the cover member is moved according to the paper width of the continuous paper, the cover member on which the reference position is marked covers the continuous paper. Therefore, it is possible to align the continuous paper while confirming the reference position overlapping the continuous paper, and it is easy to align the continuous paper.
Hereinafter, a printer to which the present invention is applied will be described with reference to the drawings.

The

As shown in FIG. 4, the printer 1 includes a
The
As shown in FIG. 5, a
The

The
As described above, a part of the

(Main effects of this embodiment)
As described above, the printer 1 according to this embodiment includes the
In this embodiment, the
In this embodiment, a
Further, for example, when it is desired to align the
In this embodiment, the
In this embodiment, the
In this embodiment, scales 36 are marked on the upper surface of the
In this embodiment, a
