Description

データ表示部３３は、LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)等のモニタを有し、2D画像や3D画像等の画像の他、各種の情報を表示する。また、モニタにはタッチパネルが重畳されていたり、リモートコントローラのような外部操作装置からの指示が受信できるようになっており、ユーザの指示に応じた信号を、要求送信部３４に供給する。データ表示部３３は、ユーザにより操作部３２又はタッチパネルを介して画像表示に関する指示がされた場合、その指示に応じた画像データの要求を、要求送信部３４に供給する。
また、所定の画像を、２次元の直交変換（例えば２次元離散コサイン変換（2D-DCT））をすることで得られる２次元直交変換係数データを、2D変換係数データと称し、複数の画像を、３次元の直交変換（例えば３次元離散コサイン変換（3D-DCT））をすることで得られる３次元直交変換係数データを、3D変換係数データと称する。
