Description

The present invention relates to an electrical connection box mounted on an automobile or the like, and in particular, an electrical device in which a contact portion of a current-carrying member is exposed on a box body and a terminal attachment portion is formed in which a terminal fitting of an electric wire can be attached. It is related to the connection box.

Conventionally, a terminal attachment in which an electric terminal box such as a power supply line can be attached to an electrical junction box such as a relay box or a junction box as described in JP 2010-63268 A (Patent Document 1). Some are provided with parts. In such a terminal mounting portion, a contact portion of a current-carrying member such as a bus bar housed in the box body is exposed. And the terminal metal fitting provided in the terminal of an electric wire is piled up on a contact part, and is bolt-fixed.

By the way, the contact part of the said electricity supply member, the terminal metal fitting of an electric wire, and metal parts, such as the volt | bolt and nut which fasten these, are exposed by the terminal attachment part. Therefore, as described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2009-273111 (Patent Document 2) and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2002-329492 (Patent Document 3), the cover body entirely covers the box body, or is partially The terminal mounting portion is protected from contact with other members, short-circuiting, and the like.

However, in the structures described in Patent Document 2 and Patent Document 3, since the cover member is separate from the box body, it is necessary to assemble the cover member to the box body after fixing the terminal fitting bolts to the terminal mounting portion. Met. Further, when the cover member is removed, a work space for temporarily placing the cover member becomes necessary, and the cover member may be lost.

In order to cope with such a problem, it is conceivable to integrally provide an openable / closable cover member on the box body. However, when a cover member is provided in each of the plurality of terminal mounting portions, there is a problem that it takes time to increase the number of parts and to open and close the cover member. In addition, since a lock mechanism for maintaining the cover member in the closed state has to be formed for each cover member, there is a problem that space efficiency is impaired. On the other hand, it is conceivable to cover a plurality of terminal mounting portions with a single cover member, but since each terminal mounting portion is located apart to ensure insulation, a cover that covers the plurality of terminal mounting portions. There was a possibility that the member would be large, resulting in an increase in the size of the electrical junction box and a loss in handling.

特開2010−63268号公報JP 2010-63268 A 特開2009−273311号公報JP 2009-273111 A 特開2002−329492号公報JP 2002-329492 A

The present invention has been made in the background of the above-mentioned circumstances, and the problem to be solved is a novel structure in which a cover member for protecting the terminal mounting portion can be integrally provided in the box body in a space-efficient manner. Is to provide an electrical junction box.

In the first aspect of the present invention, a current-carrying member is accommodated in the box body, the contact portion of the current-carrying member is exposed on the surface of the box body to form a terminal mounting portion, and the terminal of the electric wire In the electrical junction box in which the provided terminal fitting is overlapped with the contact portion and is bolted to the terminal mounting portion, a pair of the terminal mounting portions are formed adjacent to the box body, and An insulating engagement wall protrudes between the pair of terminal mounting portions, while the cover member is attached to the box body so as to be openable and closable around the rotation shaft, and protrudes inside the cover member. The cover-side engagement portion provided is engaged with the main-body-side engagement portion provided on the insulating engagement wall, whereby the cover member is held in the closed position and the pair of terminal mounting portions are the cover member. That it is covered with To.

According to the present invention, the cover member is pivotally attached to the box body on the pivot shaft. As a result, the cover member can be provided integrally with the box body to facilitate the opening and closing operation of the cover member, and the risk of losing the cover member can be reduced.

And according to this invention, a pair of terminal attachment part is formed adjacently across the insulation engagement wall. Thereby, a pair of terminal attachment part can be made to approach and it can form in space efficiency, ensuring mutual insulation with an insulation engagement wall. Furthermore, since the pair of terminal mounting portions are adjacent to each other, a cover member that covers them can be formed in a compact manner. In addition, a lock mechanism that holds the cover member in the closed position by providing the cover side engagement portion inside the cover member and providing the main body side engagement portion on the insulating engagement wall to engage with each other. It can be formed efficiently between the pair of terminal mounting portions and inside the cover member.

The cover-side engaging portion and the main body-side engaging portion may be formed with concave and convex shapes that engage with each other on one or the other of them, or both may be engaged with each other as a protruding shape. good. Further, the number of terminal mounting portions covered by the cover member is not necessarily limited to two. For example, three or more terminal mounting portions are covered with one cover member, and between the pair of terminal mounting portions among them. An insulating engagement wall may be formed.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the one described in the first aspect, the cover side engaging portion is insulated from an inner wall portion formed on the inner side of the cover member so as to face the rotation shaft. A connecting piece extending toward the engaging wall; and an engaging piece rising from the extending end of the connecting piece, and the engaging piece is engaged with the main body side engaging portion. It is something that has come to be.

According to this aspect, the cover-side engaging portion has an L-shaped cantilever shape that protrudes from the inner wall portion of the cover member, and at the front end portion of the engaging piece that rises from the extending end portion of the connecting piece. Engaged with the engaging portion. As a result, when the cover member tries to rotate in the opening direction around the rotation axis, the engagement piece comes into contact with the engagement portion on the main body side of the insulating locking wall, and the contact reaction force at that time Is exerted on the connecting piece via the engaging piece. As a result, the extended end of the connecting piece is pressed by the engaging piece, and the connecting piece is bent and deformed in the direction opposite to the opening direction of the cover member, so that the engaging piece rises from the extended end of the connecting piece. Is inclined toward the insulating locking wall. Thereby, the engagement state of an engagement piece and a main body side engagement part is maintained, the unexpected opening | release of a cover member can be prevented, and a closed state can be maintained more stably. That is, in the present invention, since the cover member is rotatably assembled to the box body, when the cover member is about to move in the opening direction, the cover side engaging portion is a circle around the rotation axis. There is a possibility that it may move on the track and be easily separated from the main body side engaging portion. However, according to this aspect, since the engaging piece that engages with the main body side engaging portion is provided at the tip of the connecting piece, when the cover member tries to rotate in the opening direction, The engaging force between the piece and the main body side engaging portion is exerted on the connecting piece, so that the connecting piece is bent and deformed. Even if it is a rotary cover member by tilting the engagement piece to the insulating locking wall side by deformation of the connecting piece and maintaining the engagement state with the main body side engagement portion more stably, It can be stably locked to the box body.

According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect, a through hole is formed in a central portion of the top wall of the cover member, and the cover side engagement is formed through the through hole. The joint portion is exposed to the outside of the cover member.

According to this aspect, even when the cover side engaging portion is provided inside the cover member, the cover side engaging portion can be directly operated from the outside of the cover member through the through hole. Accordingly, the engagement between the cover side engaging portion and the main body side engaging portion can be easily released.

According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the one described in any one of the first to third aspects, one of the cover member and the insulating engagement wall is formed with a press-contact rib that press-contacts the other. It is what.

According to this aspect, the closed state of the cover member can be more stably maintained by pressing the cover member against the insulating engagement wall via the pressure contact rib.

According to the present invention, a pair of terminal mounting portions are formed adjacent to the box body, and an insulating engagement wall is provided between the pair of terminal mounting portions so as to cover the pair of terminal mounting portions. A member is rotatably attached to the box body, and a cover side engaging portion protruding from the inside of the cover member is engaged with a main body side engaging portion provided on an insulating engagement wall to bring the cover member into a closed position. I tried to keep it. As a result, the pair of terminal mounting portions can be formed adjacently and efficiently in space while ensuring mutual insulation with the insulating engagement walls. Furthermore, by attaching the cover member to the box main body so as to be rotatable, the cover member can be integrated with the box main body so that the closing operation can be easily performed, and loss of the cover member can be prevented. The main body side engaging portion and the cover side engaging portion for holding the cover member in the closed state are provided on the insulating engagement wall between the pair of terminal mounting portions and the inside of the cover member, respectively. The member can be provided integrally with the box body in a space efficient manner.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

First, the principal part of the electrical-connection box 10 as one Embodiment of this invention is shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. The electrical junction box 10 is a relay box, and a plurality of relay mounting portions (not shown) and the like on which a relay as an electrical component can be mounted are formed on a box body 12 made of synthetic resin. The electrical junction box according to the present invention is not only a relay box but also a fuse box in which a plurality of fuses can be mounted, and various electrical parts such as connectors, relays, and fuses can be mounted and used for power distribution. It can be a junction box.

A pair of terminal mounting portions 14 are formed adjacent to the box body 12. These terminal mounting portions 14 and 14 have substantially the same structure. As shown in FIG. 3, a bus bar 16 as a current-carrying member is accommodated in the box body 12, and a contact portion 18 formed at the end of the bus bar 16 is connected to the surface 20 of the box body 12 at the terminal mounting portion 14. Exposed above. A fitting recess 22 is formed in the terminal mounting portion 14 of the box body 12, and the bolt head 24 is projected on the surface 20 by fitting a bolt head 24 formed with a male screw. Then, the bolt head 24 is inserted into the bolt insertion hole 26 penetrating the contact portion 18, and the contact portion 18 is superimposed on the surface 20, thereby forming the terminal attachment portion 14.

In the box body 12, an insulating engagement wall 28 protrudes between the pair of terminal attachment portions 14, 14. As shown in FIG. 4, the insulating engagement wall 28 has a plate shape protruding in the same direction as the bolt head 24 of the terminal mounting portion 14. Cutouts 30 are formed at both ends in the width direction of the insulating engagement wall 28 to avoid interference with a cover member 48 described later. Thereby, the insulating engagement wall 28 has a convex shape in which the central portion in the width direction is projected most. A main body side engaging portion 32 is formed on one surface (left side in FIG. 3) of the protruding tip portion of the insulating engaging wall 28. The main body side engaging portion 32 is formed in a protruding shape that protrudes to the one (left side in FIG. 3) terminal mounting portion 14 side.

Further, on the surface of the insulating engagement wall 28 from which the main body side engaging portion 32 protrudes, press-contact ribs 34 and 34 are formed to protrude below the notches 30 and 30, respectively. In addition, a pair of reinforcing ribs 36 are formed on the surface of the insulating engagement wall 28 opposite to the main body side engaging portion 32.

In addition, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the box main body 12 is insulatively engaged with the terminal mounting portion 14 on the side (left side in FIG. 3) from which the main body side engaging portion 32 protrudes. A pair of bearing portions 38, 38 are formed on the side opposite to the wall 28. Further, in the box main body 12, a main body side open position locking piece 40 is formed at a position separated from the pair of terminal mounting portions 14, 14 by a predetermined distance on the bearing portions 38, 38 side. As shown in FIG. 3, the main body side open position locking piece 40 is integrally formed with the box body 12 with a protruding piece shape protruding upward (upward in FIG. 3) from the surface 20 of the box body 12. A locking claw 42 that protrudes toward the terminal mounting portions 14 and 14 is formed at the protruding tip. Further, an operation piece 44 is formed at the upper end of the main body side open position locking piece 40 and extends obliquely upward and is separated from the terminal mounting portions 14 and 14. In addition, the main body side open position locking piece 40 is sandwiched and protected from both sides in the width direction by protective wall portions 46 and 46 protruding from the box main body 12. Further, the surface 20 of the bearing portions 38, 38 and the main body side open position locking piece 40 is formed so as to be recessed from the terminal mounting portions 14, 14, and the locking claws 42 of the main body side open position locking piece 40 are formed. Is located slightly below the bus bars 16, 16 of the terminal mounting portions 14, 14 (downward in FIG. 3).

A cover member 48 is attached to such a box body 12. As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the cover member 48 is an integrally molded product formed from a non-conductive synthetic resin. In the peripheral wall 52a, a pair of connecting plate portions 56, 56 are formed at both ends on the peripheral walls 52b, 52d side. The connecting plate portions 56, 56 have a plate shape that protrudes to the outside (left side in FIG. 5) of the main body portion 50 and protrudes from the peripheral wall 52 a in the opening direction of the main body portion 50 (upward in FIG. 6). Yes. Then, rotating shafts 58 and 58 projecting toward both outer sides of the cover member 48 are formed at the projecting tip portions of the connecting plate portions 56 and 56, respectively. In addition, tapered surfaces 60 and 60 are partially formed on the projecting end surfaces of the rotating shafts 58 and 58 from the connecting plate portions 56 and 56 to facilitate insertion between the bearing portions 38 and 38. Yes. Further, in the peripheral wall 52a, auxiliary plate portions 62, 62 having substantially the same shape as the connection plate portions 56, 56 are formed between the connection plate portions 56, 56, and these connection plate portions 56, 56 and the auxiliary plate are formed. The parts 62 and 62 are formed side by side at an appropriate interval. The projecting tip edge portions 64 from the peripheral walls 52a of the connecting plate portions 56 and 56 and the auxiliary plate portions 62 and 62 have substantially the same semi-disc shape, and overlap each other in a side view of the cover member 48. It is made into a shape.

Further, an inner wall portion 66 is formed at the inner central portion of the cover member 48 so as to face the rotation shafts 58 and 58. The inner wall portion 66 is formed so as to protrude inward of the main body portion 50 from the top wall 54, and the inner space of the cover main body 50 is divided into two by the inner wall portion 66. A pair of connecting pieces 68, 68 extending toward the peripheral wall 52 c located on the insulating engagement wall 28 side are formed at the leading end of the inner wall 66 protruding from the top wall 54. And the engagement piece 70 is formed so that it may stand at the front-end | tip part extended from the inner wall part 66 of the connection pieces 68 and 68. As shown in FIG. As a result, the connecting pieces 68 and 68 are connected to both ends in the width direction of the engaging piece 70, and the connecting piece 68 and the engaging piece 70 are formed by connecting the inner wall portion 66 with an L-shaped leaf spring shape. Has been. A locking claw 74 and an engaging hole 76 are formed at the leading end of the engaging piece 70 protruding from the connecting pieces 68 and 68. A cover side engaging portion 72 is configured including the connecting pieces 68 and 68 and the engaging piece 70.

A through hole 78 is formed in the central portion of the top wall 54. The engaging claw 74 of the engaging piece 70 protrudes to the outside of the top wall 54 through the through hole 78 and is exposed to the outside of the cover member 48. In the top wall 54, a U-shaped protective wall portion 80 projects from the periphery of the through hole 78, and the protruding direction of the locking claw 74 in the engagement piece 70 (rightward in FIG. 5). The other three sides are surrounded by the protective wall 80.

Further, a cover-side open position locking piece 82 protruding from the top wall 54 is formed at a connecting portion between the top wall 54 and the peripheral wall 52a. The cover-side open position locking piece 82 has a rectangular plate shape and protrudes from the top wall 54 with a height dimension substantially equal to the protective wall portion 80. Auxiliary plate portions 62 and 62 are connected to both ends in the width direction of the cover-side open position locking piece 82. Further, an operation rib 84 extending along the peripheral wall 52b protrudes from the lower end portion of the peripheral wall 52b located outside the box main body 12 in the state of being attached to the box main body 12, and the cover member 48 can be easily opened. It is made possible.

The rotation shafts 58 and 58 of the cover member 48 are inserted into the bearing portions 38 and 38 of the box body 12, so that the cover member 72 is rotated around the rotation shafts 58 and 58 with respect to the box body 12. Can be opened and closed. As shown in FIG. 3, the cover member 48 is rotatable about a rotation axis 58, 58 over a range of approximately 90 °, and one rotation end position is at the terminal attachment portion 14, 14 is located at an open position where the top wall 54 is perpendicular to the surface 20 of the box body 12, and the other rotational end position is at the terminal mounting position. The closed position is located above the portions 14 and 14 and covers the bolt heads 24 and 24 projecting from the terminal mounting portions 14 and 14, respectively. In addition, when the projecting tip edge portions 64 of the connecting plate portions 56 and 56 and the auxiliary plate portions 62 and 62 of the cover member 48 are brought into contact with the surface 20, the backlash of the cover member 48 due to the rotation is reduced, It can be opened and closed stably.

By rotating the cover member 48 in the opening direction, the cover side open position locking piece 82 gets over the locking claw 42 of the main body side open position locking piece 40 and is engaged with the locking claw 42. As a result, the cover member 48 is held in the open position. Then, when the cover member 48 is rotated in the closing direction, the cover side open position locking piece 82 gets over the locking claw 42 of the main body side open position locking piece 40 and is engaged with the locking claw 42. Is released, the engagement piece 70 of the cover side engagement portion 72 is superimposed on the insulation engagement wall 28, and the body side engagement portion 32 of the insulation engagement wall 28 is engaged with the engagement hole 76 of the engagement piece 70. The engagement piece 70 is engaged with the main body side engagement portion 32 by entering. As a result, the cover member 48 is held in the closed position.

As shown in FIG. 1, terminal fittings 86 and 86 are attached to such terminal attachment portions 14 and 14, respectively. The terminal fitting 86 has a plate shape bent in an L shape, and is provided at the end of the electric wire 88. Bolt insertion holes 90 are provided in the terminal fitting 86. Then, the cover member 48 is opened, and the cover side open position locking claw 82 and the main body side open position locking piece 40 are engaged and held in the open position. After the bolt head 24 is inserted and the terminal metal fitting 86 is superimposed on the contact portion 18 of the bus bar 16 exposed to the terminal mounting portion 14, the nut 92 is fastened to the bolt head 24, thereby fixing the terminal metal fitting 86. It is attached to the terminal attachment part 14 in a state of being superimposed on the contact part 18. Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 2, the cover member 48 is closed to engage the engagement piece 70 and the body-side engagement portion 32 of the insulating engagement wall 28 and hold them in the closed position. The terminal mounting portions 14 and 14 are covered with the cover member 48 to complete the mounting of the terminal fittings 86 and 86 (only one is shown in FIG. 2). In the closed state of the cover member 48, a slight gap 94 is formed between the peripheral wall 52 b and the surface 20 of the box body 12, and is attached to the terminal attachment portions 14, 14 through the gap 94. The terminal fittings 86, 86 are projected outside the box body 12.

According to the electrical junction box 10 having the structure according to the present embodiment, the cover member 48 that covers the pair of terminal attachment portions 14 and 14 is integrally assembled to the box body 12. Accordingly, the opening / closing operation of the cover member 48 can be performed easily and promptly, and the risk of the cover member 48 being lost can be reduced. The cover member 48 can be held in the open position by engaging the cover side open position locking piece 82 and the main body side open position locking piece 40 at the open position of the cover member 48. Thereby, the attachment work of the terminal metal fitting 86 can be performed easily. On the other hand, in the closed position of the cover member 48, the cover member 48 is held in the closed position by engaging the engagement piece 70 of the cover side engagement portion 72 and the main body side engagement portion 32 of the insulating engagement wall 28. I can do it.

And according to this embodiment, a pair of terminal attachment parts 14 and 14 are formed adjacently on both sides of the insulating engagement wall 28. As a result, the pair of terminal mounting portions 14 and 14 can be brought close to each other and space-efficiently formed while ensuring mutual insulation by the insulating engagement wall 28. Further, since the pair of terminal mounting portions 14 and 14 are formed adjacent to each other, the cover member 48 that covers them can be formed in a compact manner.

Further, the main body side engaging portion 32 is formed on the insulating engagement wall 28, and the cover side engaging portion 72 that engages with the main body side engaging portion 32 is formed inside the cover member 48. As a result, the lock mechanism that holds the cover member 48 in the closed position can be formed in a space-efficient manner inside the space for forming the pair of terminal attachment portions 14 and 14 and inside the cover member 48. Since the engagement piece 70 of the cover side engagement portion 72 is exposed to the outside of the cover member 48 through the through hole 78 formed in the cover member 48, the engagement piece 70 is spaced inside the cover member 48. The engagement piece 70 can be directly operated through the through hole 78 while being efficiently formed, and the engagement state between the engagement piece 70 and the main body side engagement portion 32 can be easily released.

And according to this embodiment, in the cover side engaging part 72, the engagement piece 70 engaged with the main body side engaging part 32 of the insulating engagement wall 28 is connected to the connecting piece 68 protruding from the inner wall part 66, It is formed by being raised from the tip of 68. Thereby, as shown in FIG. 7, when the cover member 48 is about to be displaced in the opening direction around the rotation shafts 58, 58, the engaging piece 70 is brought into contact with the main body side engaging portion 32, and The contact reaction force is exerted on the connecting pieces 68 and 68. Then, the distal ends of the connecting pieces 68 and 68 are pressed by the engaging piece 70 toward the box body 12 (lower side in FIG. 7), and the connecting pieces 68 and 68 are bent in the direction opposite to the opening direction of the cover member 48. Deformed. As a result, the engagement piece 70 is inclined toward the insulating engagement wall 28, and the engagement between the engagement piece 70 and the main body side engagement portion 32 is maintained. That is, in this embodiment, since the cover member 48 is rotated around the rotation shafts 58 and 58, when the cover member 48 is displaced in the opening direction, the engagement piece 70 is moved to the rotation shafts 58 and 58. There is a risk that the engaged state is easily released from the main body side engaging portion 32 around 58. In this case, the connecting pieces 68 and 68 are deformed to incline the engaging piece 70 toward the insulating engaging wall 28, thereby maintaining the engagement between the engaging piece 70 and the main body side engaging portion 32. The closed state of the member 48 can be stably maintained.

Further, as shown in FIG. 8, in the closed state of the cover member 48, the opposing surfaces 96, 96 of the inner wall portion 66 formed on both sides of the engaging piece 70 and positioned to face the insulating engaging wall 28, The press-contact ribs 34, 34 protruding from the insulating engagement wall 28 are press-contacted. Thereby, the play of the cover member 48 in the closed state can be reduced, and the cover member 48 can be more stably held in the closed state.

As mentioned above, although embodiment of this invention was explained in full detail, this invention is not limited by the specific description. For example, in the above embodiment, the cover side engaging portion 72 side has a concave shape in which an engagement hole 76 is formed, and the main body side engaging portion 32 side has a convex shape, but the cover side engaging portion has a convex shape, The main body side engaging portion may be formed in a concave shape, or both the cover side engaging portion and the main body side engaging portion may be formed in a convex shape and engaged with each other. Further, the pressure contact ribs 34 and 34 are not always necessary, but pressure contact ribs may be provided on the facing surfaces 96 and 96 side of the cover member 48 instead of the insulating engagement wall 28 side, for example.

In addition, the terminal mounting portion may be, for example, provided with a nut on the box body side and fixed with a bolt in a state where an energizing member such as a bus bar and a terminal fitting of the electric wire are overlapped. Further, three or more terminal mounting portions are provided and covered with a cover member, and an insulating locking wall is provided between the pair of terminal mounting portions to engage the cover side engaging portion. May be.
