本発明の好ましい態様においては、縫合線に近接すると共に縫合線を間に挟んで布縁に対峙する所定幅の部位を残して重畳する布の一方を縫合線方向へ折返し、布の三重重畳部を高周波誘電加熱して溶着接合する。
本発明においては、布重畳部の縫合線近傍部位で且つ縫合線を間に挟んで布の縁に対峙する所定幅の部位のみを、縫合線に沿って溶着接合することにより、前記所定幅の部位において布重畳部の布間の隙間を消滅させている。布重畳部の布間隙間が所定幅に亙って消滅することにより、布接合部の気密性、耐薬品性が確保される。
本発明を図1のような折り返し部を有する布接合部に適用した場合、折り返し線近傍の三重重畳部を高周波誘電加熱して溶着接合することになるので、従来技術で必要であった、折り返し線近傍の三重重畳部の縫合と、合成ゴムテープの貼着と、ゴム引き布の接着の3工程を、削減できる。
