Abstract
Description
本発明は、増粘剤に関する。さらに詳しくは、本発明は、非イオン性会合性増粘剤およびその組成物を製造する方法に関する。
添加剤は、水性系の粘度を増強および/または維持するために使用され得る。例えば、添加剤は、それだけには限らないが、ラテックス塗料、洗浄剤、化粧品、水性顔料ペースト、自動車用仕上げ剤、工業用コーティング、印刷用インク、潤滑油、繊維製品のコーティング、医薬品、農業用製剤、フィラー分散、接着剤、界面活性剤、ワックス分散、掘削流体、泡消化剤および/または研磨剤をはじめとする用途において使用される組成物の粘度を増大または維持するために使用され得る。このような添加剤は、「増粘剤」と呼ばれることが多い。増粘剤は、特定の水性系において、その他の特性を改善し得る、および/または、それらに影響を及ぼし得る。例えば、ラテックス塗料において使用される増粘剤は、塗料の粘度を改善および制御し得、コロイド作用を保護し得、顔料懸濁、平滑化作用および流動を改善し得る。水性系の増粘剤として、天然増粘剤、改変天然増粘剤および合成増粘剤が挙げられる。天然増粘剤の例として、アルギン酸、カゼイン、カラヤゴム、ローカストビーンガムおよびトラガカントゴムが挙げられる。改変天然増粘剤として、メチルセルロース、ヒドロキシエチルセルロースおよびヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロースなどの誘導体化セルロース化合物が挙げられる。合成増粘剤の例として、カルボキシビニルエーテル共重合体、アクリルポリマー、無水マレイン酸スチレン共重合体およびポリウレタンが挙げられる。

Claims (21)
- R6がメチルである、請求項4に記載の会合性増粘剤。
- ポリエーテルポリオールポリマー/芳香族基を含む疎水性物質溶解物を形成するステップと;
イソシアヌレートトリマーおよびジイソシアネートを溶解物に導入するステップと;
溶解物を、次式を有する会合性増粘剤を製造するのに十分な温度で加熱するステップと
を含む方法によって製造される会合性増粘剤:
- 会合性増粘剤の濃度が、水性組成物の総重量に基づいて、約0.01重量%〜約3重量%の範囲である、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 顔料組成物の総量が、1ガロンの水性組成物あたり、約2オンスから約16オンスの範囲である、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 水性組成物が、ASTM法 D4400によって測定される、少なくとも12ミルの垂れ抵抗性値を有する、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 水性組成物の最終ストーマー粘度が、1種以上の顔料組成物の添加前の水性組成物のストーマー粘度の約30%から約120%の間である、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 水性組成物の最終ストーマー粘度が、1種以上の顔料組成物の添加前の水性組成物のストーマー粘度の約30%から約120%の間であり、顔料の総濃度が、1ガロンの水性組成物あたり少なくとも2オンスの顔料組成物である、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 水性組成物の最終ストーマー粘度が、1種以上の顔料組成物の添加前の水性組成物のストーマー粘度の約30%から約120%の間であり、顔料組成物の総濃度が、1ガロンの水性組成物あたり、約2オンスから約16オンスの範囲であり、少なくとも1種の顔料組成物が、0.01マイクロメートルの平均粒径を有する顔料粒子を含む、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 少なくとも1種の顔料組成物が、少なくとも0.01マイクロメートルの平均粒径を有する顔料粒子を含む、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 少なくとも1種の顔料組成物が、窒素吸着によって測定される、少なくとも10m2/gミクロンのBET表面積を有する、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 少なくとも1種の顔料組成物が、酸化鉄を含む、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 少なくとも1種の顔料組成物が、カーボンブラックを含む、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 少なくとも1種の顔料組成物が、1種以上のフタロ化合物を含む、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 水性組成物が、塗料である、請求項8に記載の水性組成物。
- 着色−粘度組成物を安定化できる1種以上の会合性増粘剤を含む会合性増粘剤。
