Abstract

本開示は、管理区域からの物品の不正な持ち出しを防止または阻止するための、電子物品監視(EAS)ラベルまたはタグに関する。より具体的には、本開示は、物品に固有のデータを記録するための、無線周波数識別(RFID)ラベルまたはタグと組み合わせたEASラベルまたはタグ、ならびにRFIDタグが渦巻き状アンテナおよび磁界ループアンテナの両方を有するRFIDハイブリッドアンテナインレイを含む、新規RFIDラベルまたはタグに関する。

(1)アンテナ204の端部を基板202の周囲の十分に内側に定置することができる。アンテナ204の端部を基板202の周囲内に定置することにより、アンテナ204によって使用される面積の量を変更することなく端部を切り縮めることが可能になり得る。
(2)アンテナ204のQ因子は、スペーサ210およびEASラベル1の効果を含むセキュリティタグ200の応答が、ISM帯域制限で約−3dBのみ変化するように、最適化され得る。Q=1/(ka)3+1/(ka)(式中、k=2π/λであり、「a」はアンテナ204の特性寸法である)のChu−Harrington制限を使用して、半径「a」の球面がちょうどセキュリティタグ200を取り囲むことが理解され得る。高Q因子については、「ka」は<<1であるはずである。したがって、Qを最大化することにより、「a」は動作周波数の帯域制限内に含まれるように最小化される。UHF用途向けのアンテナ204の同調は、2004年8月13日に出願された、同時継続の共同所有された米国特許出願整理番号第10/917,752号、CopelandおよびG.M.Shaferによる発明の名称「TUNABLE ANTENNA」に、さらに詳細に開示されている。

セキュリティタグ。 - 前記EAS構成要素の前記第1の画定された表面積と前記RFID構成要素の前記第2の画定された表面積との間に少なくとも部分的に配置される、実質的に平面のスペーサをさらに備える;
