中央ルーメンを有する管状ストラットであって、前記中央ルーメンは、前記管状ストラットの内側表面によって規定され、前記管状ストラットのコイル長さは、前記ステントの前記略円筒形の構造体を形成する管状ストラットと、
前記管状ストラット中にらせん状様態で形成されたチャンネルであって、前記らせん状チャンネルの深さは、前記管状ストラットの前記内側表面と外側表面との間で延び、前記らせん状チャンネルの長さは、実質的に前記管状ストラットの近位端部から遠位端部へと延びる、チャンネルと、
前記らせん状チャンネルを介して身体血管へと送達されるように前記管状ストラットの前記中央ルーメン内に配置された治療用物質と、備えている、
ことを特徴とする薬剤溶出ステント。 - 前記チャンネルの幅は、前記ステントの第2の位置においてよりも前記ステントの第1の位置において大きくなるように、前記管状ストラットの前記コイル長さに沿って変化している、
