Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a navigation apparatus that automatically searches for and displays a detour route that avoids traffic congestion.
Conventionally, in a navigation apparatus, a user can register a recommended route searched by setting a destination. Therefore, when the starting point and the destination are the same, the user can search and determine from the registered route stored in the navigation device without searching for a recommended route.
There is a case where the vehicle is repeatedly traveled such that the ignition switch of the host vehicle is turned on at the same day of the week and at the same time, and from the same departure place to the same destination, such as from home to work place. If such a repeated driving history is recorded, if the ignition switch of the host vehicle is turned on again at the same day of the week and at the same time based on the history information, the same destination is reached. It can be estimated that there is a high possibility of going. Therefore, there is a navigation device that estimates a destination when an ignition switch is turned on, automatically searches for and displays a route to the estimated destination, and performs route guidance (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
However, since the user normally travels repeatedly on the route to the estimated destination with the own vehicle, the necessity for route guidance to the estimated destination is not necessarily high. When route guidance is performed even though there is no need for route guidance, there are cases where it is troublesome for the user.

(1) The navigation device according to claim 1 is a storage unit that stores a movement history of a moving body, a destination estimation unit that estimates a destination with reference to the movement history, and a reference route that refers to the movement history. According to the present invention, the route guidance to the destination to which the vehicle heads frequently is not normally performed, so it is not troublesome for the user. On the other hand, if there is a risk that the arrival time to the destination that you frequently travel will be significantly delayed than usual, or if there is the fastest route that can arrive at the destination earlier than the normal travel route, consider the traffic situation In addition, the fastest detour route to the destination can be quickly presented to the user.

FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing a recommended detour route display processing procedure in the
In step S210, the destination is estimated through a database search for the current position, current date and time, and travel history data described below. For example, when the current position is home and the current date and time is 8:55 am on Thursday, November 5, 2009, the destination is estimated to be a company based on the travel history data. The destination is estimated using a known technique. When the travel history data includes trajectory data, the route to the estimated destination is specified based on the trajectory data. The normal arrival time T_0 to the estimated destination is specified based on the travel history data. For example, 9:45 am. In step S215, if an end event occurs, the process ends. If no end event occurs, the process proceeds to step S220. The end event is, for example, an input of a route search request based on an ignition off, a detour route automatic search mode selection cancel input by the user, or a destination input by the user.
In step S220, it is determined whether or not the host vehicle after the start of travel has detected traveling on the estimated route. If the determination is negative, the process returns to step S210. If the determination is affirmative, in step S225, it is determined whether the
In step S235, the expected time of arrival at the estimated destination via the estimated route is delayed by, for example, traffic congestion, a time obtained by adding time t (for example, 30 minutes) to normal arrival time T_0, or more. If so, the process proceeds to step S240. If the delay is less than time t, the process returns to step S215. In step S240, a search for a detour route is performed. In step S245, for example, the
In step S250, it is determined whether or not the host vehicle has detected that the vehicle is traveling on a detour route. If the determination is affirmative, the determination process is repeated. If the determination is negative, it is determined in step S255 whether or not the host vehicle has passed the starting point of the detour route. If the determination is negative, the process returns to step S250. If the determination in step S255 is affirmative, the host vehicle is traveling on the estimated route or another route without traveling on the recommended bypass route. In step S260, the
FIG. 3 is a diagram showing travel history data. In step S210 of FIG. 2, the destination is estimated through a database search for travel history data. The travel history data includes at least a day type indicating a day type such as a travel day, a weekday, or a holiday, a departure time, an arrival time, a departure place, and an arrival place, and is collected every time the host vehicle travels. 140.
The travel date, departure time, arrival time, departure location, and arrival location are specified based on an input signal from the current

In the area on the right side of the screen, the current time and the estimated destination are displayed, and the estimated arrival time and the distance from the current location to the destination are displayed for each of the estimated route and the recommended detour route. The expected arrival time in the estimated route is the above-described expected arrival time T_1. The expected arrival time on the recommended detour route is calculated by taking into consideration the road traffic information, the expected arrival time at the estimated destination by the recommended detour route.
The
(1) The destination is estimated based on the travel history data, and the recommended detour route is displayed on the screen when the estimated arrival time at the estimated destination by the estimated route is a delay of time t or more than usual. As a result, if the user is not searching for a route to the destination, he / she can receive a recommended detour route without performing any operation input, etc. is there.
(2) When driving on the estimated route or other route without following the recommended detour route screen display, the recommended detour route screen display is cleared. As a result, the screen display returns to the state before the recommended bypass route is displayed, so that the user is not bothered by the screen display of the recommended bypass route, and convenience is improved.

---- Modified example ---
The above-described embodiment of the present invention can be modified as follows.
(1) In the description of FIG. 2 described above, in step S210, the estimated route to the estimated destination is specified based on the trajectory data included in the travel history data. However, the estimated route to the estimated destination may be searched and specified through route calculation. Further, a route registered in advance may be searched and specified.
(2) In the description of FIG. 2 described above, after the host vehicle starts running in step S220, a detour route search from the current location to the estimated destination is performed in step S240. However, it is good also as searching for a detour route based on the road traffic information which
(3) In the description of FIG. 2 described above, when the
(4) In the description of FIG. 2 described above, in step S235, it is determined whether or not the expected time of arrival at the estimated destination via the estimated route is delayed by time t or more. In this case, as the time t, a predetermined value may be fixedly set in advance, or an arbitrary value designated by the user may be set. Further, based on the road traffic information received by the

(6) In the description of FIG. 2 described above, if it is determined in step S255 that the vehicle has not passed the starting point of the detour route, the process returns to step S250. However, if the
(7) In the description of FIG. 2 described above, the expected arrival time T_1 calculated in step S230 in consideration of road traffic information is delayed by t or more than the arrival time T_0 calculated in step S210 without considering traffic information. In step S235, whether or not to perform the determination is determined. If the determination is affirmative, the bypass route search and the recommended bypass route display are performed. However, it may be as follows. That is, in step S210, based on the estimated destination and the estimated route specified by the destination estimation through the search of the travel history database included in the
(8) In the description of FIG. 2 described above, the recommended detour route searched in step S240 is displayed on the screen. However, when the recommended detour route is equal to the estimated route, the process may be returned to step S215 without displaying the recommended detour route on the screen.
