(3)上記実施形態では、図示しない相手方コネクタとの嵌合保持用のロック部材をフード部の基板取付面側に設けた構成としたが、本発明はこのような態様に制限されるものではなく、ロック部材は例えばフード部の側方側に設けた構成としてもよい。

基板に固定される合成樹脂製のコネクタハウジングと、前記コネクタハウジングの背面壁に設けられた端子挿入孔に圧入され前記基板側に屈曲状態となっていて前記基板に接続される端子金具とを備え、
前記コネクタハウジングには相手方コネクタハウジングが正規の挿入姿勢で嵌合された時に前記相手方コネクタハウジングと係合して互いのコネクタハウジングを嵌合状態に保持するロック部が設けられ、
前記コネクタハウジングの前記基板に接する一方の面と、それとは反対側の他方の面とが平行な形態に構成されている基板用コネクタであって、
前記端子挿入孔は前記背面壁において前記一方の面とその反対側の面との中間位置を対称軸として線対称となるように配置され、
前記コネクタハウジングには前記基板に固定するための取付部が前記一方の面と前記他方の面とに対応してそれぞれ設けられていることを特徴とする基板用コネクタ。
