Abstract
【解決手段】基地局は複数の隣接する基地局を示すメッセージを生成して無線により送信することができる。メッセージは、1以上のワイルドカード値を有するインジケータを含みうる。ワイルドカード値の利用によりインジケータは複数の隣接する基地局に対応する情報を提供することができる。インジケータは複数の基地局識別子(BSID)を示しうる。インジケータは複数のプリアンブルインデックスを示すこともできる。インジケータは複数のキャリア周波数を示すこともできる。この技術を利用することで、移動管理を曖昧にすることなくオーバヘッドを節約することができるようになる。

Claims (20)
- 無線通信ネットワークにおける方法であって、
複数の隣接する基地局を示すメッセージであり、1以上のワイルドカード値を有して前記複数の隣接する基地局の各々に対応する情報を示すインジケータを含むメッセージを生成する段階と、
前記メッセージを無線により送信する段階と
を備える方法。 - 前記インジケータは複数の基地局識別子(BSID)を示す請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記インジケータは複数のプリアンブルインデックスを示す請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記インジケータは複数のキャリア周波数を示す請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記メッセージは隣接する基地局のリストのブロードキャストメッセージである請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記メッセージは移動局に対するスキャンコマンドである請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記移動局からスキャンレポートメッセージを受信する段階をさらに備え、
前記スキャンレポートメッセージは、前記複数の隣接する基地局の各々に対する計測レポートを含み、各計測レポートは単一の対応する隣接する基地局を特定するインジケータを含む請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記計測レポートの各々が含む前記インジケータは、基地局識別子(BSID)である請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記ネットワークはIEEE802.16ネットワークである請求項1に記載の方法。
- 複数の隣接する基地局を示すメッセージであり、1以上のワイルドカード値を有して前記複数の隣接する基地局の各々に対応する情報を示すインジケータを含むメッセージを生成するメッセージ生成モジュールと、
前記メッセージを無線により送信するトランシーバと
を備える装置。 - 前記インジケータは複数の基地局識別子(BSID)を示す請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記インジケータは複数のプリアンブルインデックスを示す請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記インジケータは複数のキャリア周波数を示す請求項10に記載の装置。
- 複数の隣接する基地局の各々に対応する情報を示すインジケータを含む無線メッセージを受信するトランシーバと、
前記複数の隣接する基地局をスキャンするスキャンモジュールとを備え、前記インジケータは1以上のワイルド値を有する装置。 - 前記インジケータは複数の基地局識別子(BSID)を示す請求項14に記載の装置。
- 前記インジケータは複数のプリアンブルインデックスを示す請求項14に記載の装置。
- スキャンレポートメッセージを生成するレポート生成モジュールをさらに備え、
前記スキャンレポートメッセージは、前記複数の隣接する基地局の各々に対して個別に基地局識別子(BSID)を含む請求項14に記載の装置。 - 複数の隣接する基地局を示すメッセージであり、1以上のワイルドカード値を有して前記複数の隣接する基地局の各々に対応する情報を示すインジケータを含むメッセージを生成する手段と、
前記メッセージを無線により送信する手段と
を備える装置。 - 前記インジケータは複数の基地局識別子(BSID)を示す請求項17に記載の装置。
- 前記インジケータは複数のプリアンブルインデックスを示す請求項17に記載の装置。
