Claims (10)

プロキシサーバで、最も最近の以前のチャネル状態フィードバックメッセージ以降に、受信者レポートメッセージがクライアントから受信されているかどうかを判定するステップと、
判定するステップに基づいて、拡張フィードバックレポートメッセージおよびショートフィードバックレポートメッセージのうちの一方を、プロキシサーバからメディアサーバに送るステップであり、ショートフィードバックレポートメッセージが、マルチメディアセッションのための少なくとも最大伝送レートパラメータを含み、拡張フィードバックレポートメッセージが、マルチメディアセッションのための少なくとも最大伝送レートパラメータに加えて、少なくとも受信者レポートメッセージ中に含まれる情報を含むステップと
を含む、方法。 - 拡張フィードバックレポートメッセージが、マルチメディアセッションのための最大伝送レートパラメータを含む少なくとも第1のメッセージと、受信者レポートメッセージ中に含まれる情報を含む少なくとも第2のメッセージとを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 拡張フィードバックレポートメッセージが、最も最近のチャネル状態フィードバックメッセージ中に含まれる現在のチャネル状態情報をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。

プロキシサーバからのプロキシツーサーバメッセージに応じて、メディアサーバで、プロキシツーサーバメッセージ中に含まれる最大伝送レートパラメータに従ってマルチメディアセッションのためのストリーミングレートを設定するステップであり、プロキシツーサーバメッセージが、拡張フィードバックレポートメッセージおよびショートフィードバックレポートメッセージのうちの一方であるステップと、
プロキシツーサーバメッセージが、拡張フィードバックレポートメッセージであるか、それともショートフィードバックレポートメッセージであるかに基づいて、コンテンツレートの動的な調整を選択的に実施するステップと
を含む、方法。 - 選択的に実施するステップが、プロキシツーサーバメッセージが拡張フィードバックレポートメッセージである場合、コンテンツレートの動的な調整を実施する、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 拡張フィードバックレポートメッセージが、クライアントで再生を待っているフレームに対応する少なくともシーケンス番号を含み、動的な調整が、

シーケンス番号に基づいて、複数のコンテンツレート選択メトリックを計算するステップと、
コンテンツレート選択メトリックの少なくとも一部を、複数のしきい値と比較するステップと、
比較するステップに基づいて、コンテンツレートを調整するステップと
