16.ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの数平均分子量が、少なくとも約250〜約10000未満である上記5に記載の潤滑油組成物。
17.ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールにおける繰り返し単位の99%〜100%が、トリメチレンエーテル単位である上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。

2. Further comprising one or more lubricating oil additives, wherein the amount of base fluid stock in the lubricating oil composition is about 50% by weight or more based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition 2. The lubricating oil composition as described in 1 above.
3. The lubricating oil composition of claim 2, wherein the amount of base fluid stock in the lubricating oil composition is about 75% by weight or more based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition.
4). 4. The lubricating oil composition of claim 3, wherein the amount of base fluid stock in the lubricating oil composition is about 95% by weight or more based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition.
5). The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the base fluid stock further comprises polytrimethylene ether glycol that is fluid at ambient temperature.
6). The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the base fluid stock consists essentially of an acid ester of polytrimethylene ether glycol and a vegetable oil-based lubricant.
7). The lubricating oil composition according to 1 above, wherein the base fluid stock consists essentially of an acid ester of polytrimethylene ether glycol, polytrimethylene ether glycol, and a vegetable oil-based lubricant.
8). 6. The lubricating oil composition of claim 5 wherein the weight ratio of polytrimethylene ether glycol / polytrimethylene ether glycol acid ester in the base fluid stock is 1: 1 or greater.
9. 6. The lubricating oil composition of claim 5, wherein the weight ratio of polytrimethylene ether glycol acid ester / polytrimethylene ether glycol in the base fluid stock is 1: 1 or greater.
10. The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the acid ester of polytrimethylene ether glycol comprises from about 50 to 100% by weight diester and from 0 to about 50% by weight monoester, based on the weight of the acid ester.
11. 2. The lubricating oil composition according to 1 above, wherein the acid ester of polytrimethylene ether glycol is a monocarboxylic acid and / or an equivalent acid ester.

17. 2. The lubricating oil composition according to 1 above, wherein 99% to 100% of the repeating units in the polytrimethylene ether glycol are trimethylene ether units.
18. The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the trimethylene ether glycol comprises trimethylene ether units and a smaller amount of other polyoxyalkylene ether repeating units.
19. The lubricating oil composition according to 1 above, wherein the polytrimethylene ether glycol is produced from biologically produced 1,3-propanediol.
20. At least selected from the group consisting of ashless dispersants, metal detergents, viscosity modifiers, antiwear agents, antioxidants, friction modifiers, pour point depressants, antifoaming agents, corrosion inhibitors, demulsifiers or rust inhibitors. The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, further comprising a lubricating oil additive comprising one.
21. 21. The lubricating oil composition of claim 20, wherein the lubricating oil additive is at least 50% miscible with the base fluid stock.
22. The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the lubricating oil composition is a substantially uniform mixture of components without substantial settling or phase separation.
23. The lubricating oil composition according to 1 above, wherein the base fluid stock contains a vegetable oil-based lubricant in excess of 50% by mass.
