Description

2.ベース流体ストックが、潤滑油組成物の総質量を基準にして、約50質量%以上である上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
3.ベース流体ストックが、潤滑油組成物の総質量を基準にして、約75質量%以上である上記2に記載の潤滑油組成物。
4.ベース流体ストックが、潤滑油組成物の総質量を基準にして、約95質量%以上である上記3に記載の潤滑油組成物。
5.ベース流体ストックが、本質的にポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールおよびポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの酸エステルの混合物からなる上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
6.ベース流体ストック中のポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコール/ポリトリメチレンエ
ーテルグリコールの酸エステルの質量比が、1:1またはそれ以上である上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
7.ベース流体ストック中のポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの酸エステル/ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの質量比が、1:1またはそれ以上である上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
8.ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの酸エステルが、酸エステルの質量を基準にして、約50〜100質量%のジエステルおよび0〜約50質量%のモノエステルを含む上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
9.無灰分散剤、金属洗剤、粘度調整剤、摩耗防止剤、酸化防止剤、摩擦調整剤、流動点降下剤、消泡剤、腐食防止剤、解乳化剤および防錆剤からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つを含む潤滑油添加剤をさらに含む上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
10.潤滑油添加剤が、ベース流体ストックにおいて、少なくとも50%混和性である上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
11.潤滑油組成物が、実質的に沈殿または相分離のない、成分の実質的に均一な混合物である上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
12.ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの酸エステルが、モノカルボン酸および/または等価体の酸エステルである上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
13.モノカルボン酸が、式R−COOHを有し、式中、Rは、6〜40個の炭素原子を含有する置換または非置換芳香族、脂肪族または脂環式有機部分である上記12に記載の潤滑油組成物。
14.ポリトリメチレングリコールの酸エステルが、式(I)の1つまたはそれ以上の化合物を含み、
15.酸エステルが、少なくとも約250〜約10000未満の数平均分子量を有するポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールを基準にした数平均分子量を有する上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
16.ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの数平均分子量が、少なくとも約250〜約10000未満である上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
17.ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールにおける繰り返し単位の99%〜100%が、トリメチレンエーテル単位である上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
18.トリメチレンエーテルグリコールが、トリメチレンエーテル単位、およびそれより少ない量の他のポリオキシアルキレンエーテル繰り返し単位を含む上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
19.酸エステルが、生物学的に生産された1,3−プロパンジオールから製造される上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
20.ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールが、生物学的に生産された1,3−プロパンジオールから製造される上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
21.ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの酸エステルの粘度が、ポリトリメチレンエーテルグリコールの粘度より低い上記1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
The present invention is summarized as follows.
1. A base fluid stock comprising (a) a mixture of (a) polytrimethylene ether glycol that is fluid at ambient temperature, and (b) an acid ester of polytrimethylene ether glycol that is fluid at ambient temperature, and (ii) one A lubricating oil composition comprising a lubricating oil additive or more.
2. 2. The lubricating oil composition according to 1 above, wherein the base fluid stock is about 50% by weight or more based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition.
3. 3. The lubricating oil composition according to 2 above, wherein the base fluid stock is about 75% by weight or more based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition.
4). 4. The lubricating oil composition of claim 3, wherein the base fluid stock is about 95% by weight or more based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition.
5. The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the base fluid stock consists essentially of a mixture of polytrimethylene ether glycol and an acid ester of polytrimethylene ether glycol.
6). The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the weight ratio of polytrimethylene ether glycol / polytrimethylene ether glycol acid ester in the base fluid stock is 1: 1 or more.
7). The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the weight ratio of polytrimethylene ether glycol acid ester / polytrimethylene ether glycol in the base fluid stock is 1: 1 or greater.
8). The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the acid ester of polytrimethylene ether glycol comprises from about 50 to 100% by weight diester and from 0 to about 50% by weight monoester, based on the weight of the acid ester.
9. At least selected from the group consisting of ashless dispersants, metal detergents, viscosity modifiers, antiwear agents, antioxidants, friction modifiers, pour point depressants, antifoaming agents, corrosion inhibitors, demulsifiers and rust inhibitors. The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, further comprising a lubricating oil additive comprising one.
10. The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the lubricating oil additive is at least 50% miscible in the base fluid stock.
11. The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the lubricating oil composition is a substantially uniform mixture of components substantially free of precipitation or phase separation.
12 2. The lubricating oil composition according to 1 above, wherein the acid ester of polytrimethylene ether glycol is a monocarboxylic acid and / or an equivalent acid ester.
13. 13. The monocarboxylic acid having the formula R—COOH, wherein R is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic, aliphatic or alicyclic organic moiety containing 6 to 40 carbon atoms. Lubricating oil composition.
14 The acid ester of polytrimethylene glycol comprises one or more compounds of formula (I)
15. The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the acid ester has a number average molecular weight based on polytrimethylene ether glycol having a number average molecular weight of at least about 250 to less than about 10,000.
16. The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the polytrimethylene ether glycol has a number average molecular weight of at least about 250 to less than about 10,000.
17. 2. The lubricating oil composition according to 1 above, wherein 99% to 100% of the repeating units in the polytrimethylene ether glycol are trimethylene ether units.
18. The lubricating oil composition of claim 1, wherein the trimethylene ether glycol comprises trimethylene ether units and a smaller amount of other polyoxyalkylene ether repeating units.
19. 2. The lubricating oil composition as described in 1 above, wherein the acid ester is produced from biologically produced 1,3-propanediol.
20. The lubricating oil composition according to 1 above, wherein the polytrimethylene ether glycol is produced from biologically produced 1,3-propanediol.
21. 2. The lubricating oil composition according to 1 above, wherein the viscosity of the acid ester of polytrimethylene ether glycol is lower than that of polytrimethylene ether glycol.
