Claims (9)
- 静脈アクセスポートアセンブリであって、
ハウジングを備え、該ハウジングは、排出ポートと、針を通し得るセプタムと、ハウジングに固定可能であって、かつ、前記セプタムを当該アセンブリに確実に保持するキャップとを有し、
前記ハウジングのハウジングベースの上面は、前記セプタムの着座フランジが着座するセプタム座を備え、
前記ハウジングベースは側壁の外面の大部分のまわりに周方向に延びる第1保持部を備え、前記キャップは前記ハウジングベースの側壁と関連付けられ、かつ同側壁に隣接する内側対向面を有する内部空洞を備え、前記内側対向面の大部分のまわりには周方向に第2保持部が形成されており、第2保持部は第1保持部と関連付けられており、かつ第2保持部は、前記キャップをハウジングベースに組み付けると、第1保持部と第2保持部とが互いにスナップ嵌合して、前記キャップのハウジングベースへの機械的接合を保証することにより、セプタムをハウジングに固定するように、第1保持部に対して相補的であり、
前記ハウジングベースおよびキャップのうちの一方は、その表面上に角度方向に離間された複数の垂直クラッシュリブを備え、前記垂直クラッシュリブは、組立の間にハウジングベースおよびキャップを正確に中心に配置するために、前記ハウジングベースおよびキャップのうちの他方の表面によって係合される、静脈アクセスポートアセンブリ。 - 前記キャップおよびハウジングベースの隣接面は、組立の際に互いに溶剤接着される、請求項1に記載の静脈アクセスポートアセンブリ。
- 第1保持部および第2保持部のうちの一方は保持リブであり、第1保持部および第2保持部のうちの他方は、相補的な保持溝である、請求項1に記載の静脈アクセスポートアセンブリ。
- 前記保持溝は前記ハウジングベースの外面上に形成されており、前記保持リブは前記キャップの内部空洞の内側対向面上に形成されている、請求項3に記載の静脈アクセスポートアセンブリ。
- 前記保持リブは互いから離間された2つの独立した共面部分を備え、それらの共面部分はそれぞれ約60°〜約100°の角距離にわたって周方向に延びており、前記保持溝は互いから離間された2つの独立した共面部分を備え、それらの共面部分はそれぞれ約70°〜約110°の角距離にわたって周方向に延び、かつ相補的な保持リブ部分のそれを上回る角距離にわたって延在する、請求項3に記載の静脈アクセスポートアセンブリ。
- 前記保持リブは互いから離間された2つの独立した共面部分を備え、それらの共面部分はそれぞれ約80°〜約90°の角距離にわたって周方向に延びており、前記保持溝は互いから離間された2つの独立した共面部分を備え、それらの共面部分はそれぞれ約85°〜約95°の角距離にわたって周方向に延び、かつ相補的な保持リブ部分のそれを上回る角距離にわたって延在する、請求項5に記載に記載の静脈アクセスポートアセンブリ。
- 前記クラッシュリブは、保持リブ部分から偏倚されて、かつ少なくとも排出ポートにおいてポートを通る長手方向軸線から偏倚されて、角度方向に離間されている、請求項5に記載に記載の静脈アクセスポートアセンブリ。
- 前記クラッシュリブは長手方向ポート軸線の両側から約35°に位置する、請求項7に記載に記載の静脈アクセスポートアセンブリ。
- 前記クラッシュリブは約0.005インチ(0.127mm)の半径を有する、請求項7に記載に記載の静脈アクセスポートアセンブリ。
