Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a magnetostrictive stress sensor that detects stress using the inverse effect of magnetostriction.
For example, researchers in Non-Patent Document 1 have proposed detecting stress using the inverse effect of magnetostriction. A stress sensor (magnetostrictive stress sensor) using the inverse effect of magnetostriction is more robust than a general strain gauge as a sensor for detecting stress.
However, the above-described magnetostrictive stress sensor is not sufficient for practical use. For example, if a stress acting on an underbody member such as an automobile is detected, the signal is likely to be small because the member is not easily distorted. In practice, even in such a case, it is necessary to detect the stress accurately and accurately, and improvement of sensitivity is one of the problems in achieving practical use.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a magnetostrictive stress sensor that can improve sensitivity and accurately detect stress.
The present inventors diligently studied to solve the above problems. As a result, the relationship between the direction in which the stress acts and the magnetization direction of the permanent magnet is set to a predetermined relationship, and the magnetic flux is concentrated on the magnetic sensor, thereby improving the sensitivity and accurately detecting the stress accurately. The inventors have found out and have completed the present invention. The present invention is based on such knowledge.
The magnetostrictive stress sensor of the present invention is a magnetic member having a magnetostriction for bonding to a target member to which stress acts, and a direction of stress acting on the magnetic member from the target member. A permanent magnet having substantially perpendicular magnetization directions. The magnetostrictive stress sensor of the present invention includes a magnetic sensor disposed on the opposite side of the permanent magnet with respect to the magnetic member. The magnetostrictive stress sensor of the present invention further includes a yoke for a magnetic sensor made of a magnetic material and disposed so as to face a surface opposite to the surface facing the magnetic member of both surfaces of the magnetic sensor. The yoke has a convex portion facing the magnetic sensor. The magnetostrictive stress sensor according to the present invention detects, by the magnetic sensor, a magnetic flux that changes depending on the stress acting on the magnetic member and is concentrated on the magnetic sensor by the convex portion on the opposite side of the magnetic member from the permanent magnet. . By detecting in this way, the magnetostrictive stress sensor of the present invention detects the stress acting on the magnetic member.
In the present invention, since the magnetic flux concentrated on the magnetic sensor is detected by the convex portion, the sensitivity can be improved and the stress can be accurately and accurately detected.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Members having common functions are denoted by similar reference numerals, and redundant description is omitted.
<First Embodiment>
1 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a magnetostrictive stress sensor, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line 2-2 of FIG. 1, FIG. (B) is a principal part expanded sectional view of a magnetostrictive stress sensor.
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The
The
The location where the
The
The
The material of the
The material of the
The permanent magnet 110 is in contact with the
In this specification, “the
In other words, in addition to the case where the
The permanent magnet 110 is preferably a samarium cobalt (SmCo) magnet, but is not limited thereto. The permanent magnet 110 does not require a power source and winding for generating magnetic flux, and is preferable in terms of power saving, size reduction, and cost reduction.
The
Since the
The
The
The
As shown in FIG. 2, the shape of the
Even if the compressive force is applied, the
In the stress detection method, the
For example, when the
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 3B, in the present embodiment, a concentrated
Leakage
The effect of the first embodiment will be described.
Since the
Since the tip of the
The
The
Even if there is a slight gap between the

<Second Embodiment>
FIG. 4 is a schematic sectional view of the magnetostrictive stress sensor of the second embodiment.
The
The
The effect of 2nd Embodiment is described.
