雨水等の流出抑制を目的として、プラスチックなどで製造された単位部材を地下に配列充填しその周囲を適宜シートで覆った雨水貯留浸透施設が普及している。この目的のため各種の異なる形状の単位部材が例えば特開昭62-101097、特開昭62-126179、特開平9-296486、特開平10-252108、特開平10-115778、特開平11-43971、特開平11-222886などに提案且つ使用されている。いずれの方法も単位部材を地下に配列し、その周囲を透水性若しくは遮水性のシートで包み、その内部空間に雨水等を貯留する浸透貯留施設とするものであった。
地震時においても上記雨水等の貯留浸透施設が機能を失わず使用可能とする免震性を高める方法が求められている。

テーブル状部材は脚部を突き合せた状態を単位として、この単位を上下左右に配列することが基本である。テーブル状部材の脚部を下に向けて平面的に配列することも可能であるが脚部を突き合せた状態で使用することが好ましい。

平板部には平板部に開口する脚部の孔より少し大きめの孔を設けたシートが挿入される。

図では脚部が4個のテーブル状部材を用いているため、平板部に挿入するシートには4個の脚部の開口部に相当する孔が開いている。脚部の突き合せ部には円形状のシートが挿入され、脚部に設けた接続具に対応する箇所に孔が設けられている。本例では各脚部に2個の雄継ぎ手部及び2個の雌継ぎ手部が設けられているため4個の孔が設けられている。使用するテーブル状部材の脚部の数、脚部の形状に応じて使用されるシートの形状及び孔の数など適宜変更される。

図4に示すように、その貯留空間をシートで覆い土砂の貯留空間への侵入を防止し、流入管、流出管、溢流管、泥だめます、人孔、オリフィスますなど必要に応じた付帯設備を設けて雨水等の貯留浸透施設として使用できることは従来の単位部材と同様である。シートも浸透槽として使用する場合は透水シート、地下水の浸入を防止あるいは貯留した雨水等を有効利用する場合には遮水シートを用いることも同様である。
