Description

The present invention relates to a paper sheet handling apparatus that is configured internally in, for example, an automatic teller machine installed in a financial institution, and more specifically, a paper sheet handling that improves the performance of removing paper remaining on an internal delivery conveyance path. Relates to the device.

Hereinafter, as an example of a paper sheet handling apparatus that handles paper sheets such as banknotes, statement slips, paper sheets, etc., a banknote handling apparatus that is internally configured in an automatic teller machine that handles banknotes will be described.
In general, inside the banknote handling apparatus, a banknote depositing / withdrawing mechanism for discharging the banknotes to be dispensed to the user or feeding the deposited banknotes one by one, and a banknote discriminating unit for discriminating the deposited or withdrawn banknotes , A temporary storage unit that temporarily stores deposited banknotes, a reject storehouse that stores rejected banknotes that do not reach a predetermined standard in the banknote discriminating unit, and a recycle storehouse for storing and storing received banknotes and delivering them as withdrawal banknotes And the banknote conveyance path which connects each said part.

In particular, with regard to the handling of banknotes, in recent years, the increase in the number of denominations and the increase in capacity has progressed, and it has become common to arrange the recycle box side by side at the bottom and collect the other parts at the top. Furthermore, the recycle box is stored in a safe to increase the security of banknotes.

For this reason, a mechanism unit having a bill deposit / withdrawal mechanism other than a recycle box, a bill discriminating unit, etc. is arranged on the safe as an upper unit, and a plurality of bill units and a conveyance path connecting them are stored in the safe as a lower unit. A delivery conveyance path that connects the upper unit and the lower unit is provided in the opening on the safe to deliver the banknotes. The upper unit and the lower unit are internally configured so that they can be pulled out from the apparatus main body. When banknotes remain in the transfer path connecting portion between the upper unit or the lower unit and the delivery transfer path, the apparatus main body is once driven. Stop and the clerk pulls out the upper or lower unit and removes the bill.

However, even if the upper unit or the lower unit is pulled out from the apparatus main body, residual banknotes may remain in the delivery conveyance path. The banknotes remaining in the upper unit or the lower unit can be removed from the outside of the apparatus main body by pulling out the unit from the apparatus main body, but if the banknotes remain on the delivery conveyance path inside the apparatus main body, the apparatus main body There was a problem that banknotes remained inside and it was difficult to remove the banknotes.

For this reason, in Patent Document 1, a pair of opening and closing guides disposed in the transport path connecting portion of the delivery transport path (connected transport path) is opened along with the drawing of the unit, and the banknotes in the delivery transport path portion are opened. What prevents tearing and breakage is known (the name in Patent Document 1 is shown in parentheses).
JP 2002-163704 A

However, only by providing such an opening / closing guide, when the banknote remains over the transport path and the delivery transport path of the unit, one end and the other end of the banknote are sandwiched by separate transport paths, and thus When the unit is pulled out in such a state, there is a risk that the remaining banknotes may be pulled from both sides and broken, and it is difficult to easily remove the remaining banknotes in the delivery conveyance path.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a paper sheet handling apparatus that can easily remove a residual paper sheet without damaging the paper sheet remaining on the delivery conveyance path.

The present invention includes a unit having a conveyance path for nipping and conveying a paper sheet between a rotating body opposed to both sides, an internal configuration in which the unit can be pulled out freely, and a driving side rotating body opposed to both sides and a driven body A sheet handling apparatus having a delivery conveyance path sandwiched between a side rotating body and connected to the conveyance path of the unit for delivery of the sheet, the delivery apparatus The transport path includes the drive-side rotator to which the transport driving force from a drive transmission unit provided in the apparatus main body is transmitted, and the driven-side rotator that rotates in contact with the drive-side rotator. When the unit is internally configured in the apparatus main body, the drive transmission unit provided in the apparatus main body is connected to the drive transmission unit of the driving side rotating body, and the unit is pulled out from the apparatus main body. Drive link that opens the connection. Characterized in that it is a paper sheet handling apparatus provided with opening means.

According to the present invention, when the unit is pulled out from the apparatus main body, the paper sheet remaining in the delivery conveyance path is pulled out together with the unit as the unit is pulled out. For this reason, the paper sheet does not remain in the delivery conveyance path, and the paper sheet remaining in the connecting portion between the unit and the delivery conveyance path can be easily removed from the outside of the apparatus main body.

Next, the operation | movement at the time of the payment transaction process of the banknote handling apparatus 200 is demonstrated.
When a banknote is inserted into the banknote deposit / withdrawal unit 210, the banknote handling apparatus control unit 330 causes the banknote discrimination unit 220 to transport the banknote through the transport paths 252 and 254. Further, the bill handling apparatus control unit 330 discriminates the authenticity, denomination, and correctness state of the bills by a sensor (not shown) mounted on the bill discriminating unit 220 and transmits the discrimination result to the main body control unit 130. Moreover, the banknote handling apparatus control part 330 conveys a banknote to the branch position of the banknote distribution gate 284 via the conveyance path 256 from the rear part of the banknote discrimination | determination part 220. FIG. Further, the banknote handling apparatus control unit 330 sorts the banknotes at the banknote sorting gate 284 based on the result of the banknote discrimination unit 220. Moreover, the banknote handling apparatus control part 330 conveys the banknote judged to be acceptable to the banknote temporary storage 230 using the conveyance paths 258 and 260, and uses the conveyance path 264 for the banknote judged to be indistinguishable. It is conveyed to the banknote deposit / withdrawal unit 210 and returned.

The main body control unit 130 causes the customer operation unit 120 to display the total amount of banknotes deposited. When receiving the input confirming the deposit transaction from the user through the customer operation unit 120, the banknote handling apparatus control unit 330 receives an instruction from the main body control unit 130, and stores the banknote once stored in the temporary banknote storage 230. The bills are sent in the reverse direction in the reverse order to the banknote discrimination unit 220. And the banknote handling apparatus control part 330 changes the conveyance direction of a banknote into the direction of the delivery conveyance path 266 using the banknote distribution gate 282. FIG. Thereafter, the banknote handling apparatus controller 330 sorts the transport path 268 and the banknote sorting gates 288, 290, 292, 294, 296, and selects one of the recycle boxes 312, 314, 316, 318 and the reject box 320. To store banknotes. This completes the deposit transaction process.

Next, the operation | movement at the time of the payment transaction process of the banknote handling apparatus 200 is demonstrated.
When receiving a predetermined amount withdrawal instruction from the user, the main body control unit 130 instructs the banknote handling apparatus control unit 330 to convey the banknotes to the banknote depositing / withdrawing unit 210. The banknote handling apparatus control unit 330 causes the recycle boxes 312, 314, 316, and 318 to feed out banknotes by a predetermined number of times, and the banknotes guided to the transport path 268 are used to transport the banknotes using the banknote sorting gate 288. Is changed to the direction of the delivery conveyance path 266 and then conveyed to the bill discriminating unit 220 using the conveyance path 254.

The banknote handling apparatus control unit 330 uses the banknote determination unit 220 to determine the authenticity, face value, and correctness state of the banknote. The banknote handling device control unit 330 sorts banknotes that are determined to be withdrawable using the banknote sorting gates 284 and 286, conveys the banknotes to the banknote deposit and withdrawal unit 210, and banknotes that are determined not to be withdrawn are banknotes. The sorting gates 284 are used for sorting in the direction of the transport path 262 and stored in the bill loading / recovery box 240. When the banknote transport operation is finished, the main body control unit 130 opens the shutter 212 so that the user can pick up the banknote. Thereby, the withdrawal transaction process is completed.

The delivery conveyance path 266 configured in the connecting portion 304 will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing the delivery conveyance path 266 partially omitted from the direction of the arrow 201 in FIG. FIG. 6 is a longitudinal sectional view of a main part of the delivery conveyance path 266 viewed from the direction of the arrow 507 in FIG.

The upper banknote mechanism 202 includes a pair of left and right banknote guide members 500 and 501, a protrusion 502, and a pair of left and right rollers 515 at positions corresponding to the upper surface side of the delivery conveyance path 266.
One banknote guide member 500 and the other banknote guide member 501 have a comb-like tip, are arranged at predetermined intervals on both sides of the transport path, and are paired with the upper end of the delivery transport path 266 described above. Connected to the side. The protrusion 502 is provided as a drive connection release means and a delivery release means. The protrusion 502 is an inverted L-shaped member protruding from the upper bill mechanism 202 to the connection portion 304 side.

The rollers 515 are a pair of transport rollers that are arranged facing the left and right sides and transport the bills while sandwiching them from both the left and right sides. At least one of the rollers 515 is connected to a driving shaft (not shown), rotates by receiving a rotational driving force from the driving shaft, and conveys the banknote 521 between these rollers 515. Further, the banknotes conveyed from the delivery conveyance path 266 by the rollers 515 are received and taken into the upper banknote mechanism 202, and conversely, the banknotes are sent from the upper banknote mechanism 202 to the delivery conveyance path 266. When power is not transmitted to the drive shaft, the roller 515 stops rotating and waits for the banknote 521 to be conveyed.

The delivery conveyance path 266 includes a pair of left and right guide members 503 and 504 that guide the banknote 521 from both sides on the upper side, and a pair of left and right springs 508 and 509, and a pair of upper and lower pulleys that support the conveyance belt 511 in the middle part. 510, 522, rollers 530, 531 which are paired with the conveyor belt 511, and a drive transmission lever 516, and a gear 518 provided on the drive transmission lever 516 on the lower side, and an urging spring 534, a pair of left and right guide members 535 and 536, and a pair of left and right springs 537 and 538.

The one guide member 503 and the guide member 504 on the upper side have a comb-like tip, are arranged at predetermined intervals on both sides of the conveyance path, and are guided to the upper side of the delivery conveyance path 266. It has the role of conveying and guiding the banknote 521. Further, the guide members 503 and 504 have a shaft fitting fixing hole (only the right hole 504a is shown in FIG. 5), and the rotation shafts 505 and 506 are inserted and fixed in the fixing hole. Yes. Thereby, the guide members 503 and 504 are rotated along with the rotation of the rotation shafts 505 and 506. Further, the comb shape of the guide members 503 and 504 is formed with an upper comb shape and a lower comb shape in the vertical direction with the fixing hole as the center. And the upper comb shape is interposed corresponding to the bill guide members 500 and 501 which are comb shapes on the upper bill mechanism 202 side alternately. Thereby, the contact when the upper banknote mechanism 202 is pulled out from the banknote handling apparatus 200 is avoided, and the upper banknote mechanism 202 can be pulled out.

In FIG. 6, the spring 508 provided on the left side of the delivery conveyance path 266 is, for example, a torsion coil spring, and the coil portion of the spring 508 is attached to the support shaft 304 b protruding from the passage wall 304 a surrounding the delivery passage of the connecting portion 304. It is pivotally supported, one end thereof is fixed to the passage wall 304a, and the other end is arranged in urging contact with the outer surface side of the guide member 503 provided on the left side in the drawing. As a result, the spring 508 biases the guide member 503 toward the opposing guide member 504 with the rotation shaft 505 of the guide member 503 as the center.

The right spring 509 is also a torsion coil spring. The coil portion of the spring 509 is pivotally supported on the rotating shaft 506, one end thereof is fixed to the passage wall 304a, and the other end is provided on the right side in the drawing. The guide member 504 is disposed in a biased contact with the outer surface side. As a result, the spring 509 biases the guide member 504 toward the guide member 503 facing the rotation center 506 of the guide member 504. In this embodiment, the elastic force of the left spring 508 is set stronger than the elastic force of the right spring 509. In the state where the upper bill mechanism 202 and the lower bill mechanism 204 are housed, the guide members 503 and 504 on both sides form a vertical delivery conveyance path 266 in parallel.

The conveying belt 511 is provided as a driving side rotating body, and is stretched between pulleys 510 and 522 arranged on the left and upper sides in FIG. Of these, the lower pulley 522 is provided as a drive pulley. The power transmission to the lower pulley 522 is meshed with a gear (not shown) fixed on the lower rotating shaft via a plurality of power transmission gears 518 from a driving gear 517 provided in the lower bill mechanism 204 described later. Power is transmitted. Rollers 530 and 531 as driven-side rotators that rotate around for conveyance are in contact with the upper and lower positions on the right side facing the conveyance belt 511. Thus, the banknote 521 is configured to be nipped and conveyed between the conveyor belt 511 and the rollers 530 and 531, and the banknotes 521 guided here are nipped and conveyed one by one.

The drive transmission lever 516 is provided as a drive connection release means and a delivery release means, and is configured to be able to rotate in conjunction with the advancing / retreating operation of the protrusion 502 in the pulling-out direction described above. The drive transmission lever 516 has a U-shape, and a bent portion of the drive transmission lever 516 is rotatably supported on a rotation shaft 532 of a lower pulley 522 and is disposed in a vertically long state. The protrusion 502 of the upper banknote mechanism 202 is in contact with the upper end 516a of the drive transmission lever 516 from the right side in FIG. A gear 518 and a biasing spring 534 are provided at the lower end 516 b of the drive transmission lever 516.

The gear 518 is provided as a drive transmission portion of the drive side rotator, and the gear 518 has the upper end portion 516a of the drive transmission lever 516 pushed to the left in the drawing by the projection 502 to rotate the rotation shaft 532 of the lower pulley 522. The lower end portion 516b of the drive transmission lever 516 rotates rightward in the figure. The gear 518 is applied as a drive transmission unit provided inside the apparatus main body, and meshes with the drive gear 517 of the lower bill mechanism 204. Thus, normally, the rotational driving force from the lower bill mechanism 204 is transmitted to the driving pulley 522 via the gears 517 and 518.

The biasing spring 534 biases the lower end 516b of the drive transmission lever 516 in the left direction in the drawing. Normally, the upper bill mechanism 202 is attached to the bill handling apparatus 200 with the projection 502 pushing the drive transmission lever 516 against the biasing force of the biasing spring 534, and both gears 517 and 518 are attached. Is in mesh. Therefore, when the upper banknote mechanism 202 is pulled out from the banknote handling apparatus 200 and the projection 502 is retracted, the drive transmission lever 516 is released from the position restriction at the coupling position, and the biasing spring 534 is biased. As a result, the lower end 516 b of the drive transmission lever 516 rotates to the left in the figure around the rotation shaft 532, and as a result, the gear 518 supported by the lower end 516 b of the drive transmission lever 516 drives the lower bill mechanism 204. It is separated from the gear 517 and the drive transmission is cut off. In this way, the power to the delivery conveyance path 266 is connected or released in conjunction with the forward / backward movement of the protrusion 502 in the pull-out direction.

Here, the banknote delivery interval between the delivery transport path 266 and the upper banknote mechanism 202 will be described. The banknote clamping position between the pair of rollers 515 of the upper banknote mechanism 202, and the transport belt 511 and the roller 530 of the delivery transport path 266 are as follows. The interval at which the banknote is transferred to and from the opposite banknote clamping position is set to be shorter than the length of the banknote 521 in the conveyance direction. This eliminates the holding and separation of banknotes between the upper banknote mechanism 202 and the delivery conveyance path 266, ensures delivery and conveyance of banknotes, and prevents the conveyance of a single banknote from stopping halfway.

Further, the interval between the banknote clamping parts across the delivery conveyance path 266 between the upper clamping position of the pair of rollers 515 of the upper banknote mechanism 202 and the lower clamping position of the pair of rollers 515a of the lower banknote mechanism 204 is It is set longer than the length in the transport direction. Thereby, the upper banknote mechanism 202 and the lower banknote mechanism 204 do not hold the same banknote 521 at the same time. Therefore, even if one of the upper banknote mechanism 202 and the lower banknote mechanism 204 is pulled out when there is a remaining banknote in the delivery conveyance path 266, the both ends of the banknote 521 are not gripped, so that the banknote is not torn.

Further, the pair of left and right guide members 535 and 536 and the pair of left and right springs 537 and 538 provided on the lower side of the delivery conveyance path 266 are composed of the pair of left and right guide members 503 and 504 provided on the upper side and the pair of left and right springs. It has the same structure as 508 and 509 and is arranged in a symmetrical shape upside down. Therefore, since the same guide operation is performed only when the banknotes are transferred to and from the lower banknote mechanism 204, which will be described later, the same description is omitted.

The lower bill mechanism 204 has the same structure as the upper bill mechanism 202 described above, and is disposed symmetrically on the lower side of the delivery conveyance path 266 in the upside down direction. Therefore, like the upper bill mechanism 202, the lower bill mechanism 204 has a pair of left and right bill guide members 539 and 540 and a pair of left and right rollers 517a, and further includes a drive gear 517 for power transmission. Therefore, the banknote guide members 539 and 540 and the roller 517a of the lower banknote mechanism 204 have the same structure as the banknote guide members 500 and 501 of the upper banknote mechanism 202 and the roller 515, and thus move in the same manner. Description is omitted.

The drive gear 517 meshes with a gear 518 provided at a lower portion of the drive transmission lever 516 of the delivery conveyance path 266 so as to be able to transmit power. By driving the drive gear 517, the gear 518 and several gears are connected. The conveyor belt 511 that is rotationally driven is driven. When the drive gear 517 is not driven, the conveyor belt 511 does not rotate.

Further, regarding the banknote delivery interval in the transport direction between the delivery transport path 266 and the lower banknote mechanism 204, similarly, the banknote clamping position between the pair of left and right rollers 517a of the lower banknote mechanism 204, and the transport belt 511 of the delivery transport path 266, The interval at which the banknote is delivered to and from the banknote clamping position facing the roller 531 is set to be shorter than the length in the conveyance direction of the banknote 521 to ensure delivery of the banknote 521 between them.

Next, a jam removal process in the case where a jam has occurred in the conveyance path connecting portion between the upper bill mechanism 202 and the delivery conveyance path 266 will be described with reference to FIGS.
6 is a main part longitudinal sectional view showing a state before the upper banknote mechanism 202 is pulled out (hereinafter referred to as “reference position”), and FIG. 7 is a main part longitudinal sectional view showing a state in which the upper banknote mechanism 202 is started to be pulled out. 8 is a main part longitudinal cross-sectional view showing a state in which the upper banknote mechanism 202 is being pulled out, FIG. 9 is a main part vertical cross-sectional view showing a state in which the upper banknote mechanism 202 has been drawn out, and FIG. It is a principal part longitudinal cross-sectional view which shows the state pulled out of the automatic transaction apparatus 100. FIG.

When a jam occurs in the delivery conveyance path 266, the part is detected by a detection sensor (not shown) or the like, and the upper banknote mechanism from the main body control unit 130 to the clerk operation unit 150 such as a clerk panel corresponding to the jam occurrence position. A recovery guidance result indicating whether to pull out the 202 side or the lower bill mechanism 204 side is displayed and guided. The attendant looks at the result and executes the recovery process.

As shown in FIG. 6, in the state where the banknote remains between the upper banknote mechanism 202 and the delivery transport path 266, the remaining banknote 521 is between the pair of rollers 515 and between the transport belt 511 and the roller 530. It is sandwiched between. At this time, since the roller 515 is connected to the drive side of the upper bill mechanism 202 and the transport belt 511 is connected to the drive side of the lower bill mechanism 204, the roller 515 is not driven. In addition, the transport belt 511 does not rotate and strongly holds the remaining banknote 521.

At the reference position shown in FIG. 6, the protrusion 502 of the upper bill mechanism 202 pushes the drive transmission lever 516 leftward in FIG. Accordingly, the conveyance belt 511 is transmitted with power via the drive gear 517 from the lower bill mechanism 204, the respective gears 518, and the pulley 522 on the drive side, and the bill is nipped and conveyed between the conveyance belt 511 and the rollers 530 and 531. It is connected so that power can be transmitted.

In order to recover the automatic teller machine 100 from the jam, the clerk pulls the upper banknote mechanism 202 from the reference position in the direction of the arrow 513 (the rightward direction is the withdrawal direction in FIG. 7) as shown in FIG. The protrusion 502 of the upper bill mechanism 202 that has pressed 516 retreats from the drive transmission lever 516, and the gear 518 and the drive gear 517 that are pivotally supported by the lower portion of the drive transmission lever 516 are separated from each other, and the drive transmission to the conveyor belt 511 is performed. The parts are disconnected.

As a result, the conveyance belt 511 is idled, and the contact pressure (holding force) of the banknote between the opposed surfaces of the conveyance belt 511 and the rollers 530 and 531 is weakened. Thus, the bill can be freely moved in the transport direction. On the other hand, the roller 515 on the upper banknote mechanism 202 side does not disengage the drive gear of the drive connecting portion even if a motor (not shown) on the upper banknote mechanism 202 side that transmits power is stopped. In order to rotate the card from the stopped state, the load resistance is large and the holding power of the banknote remains strong. In this state, when the upper banknote mechanism 202 is pulled out in the direction of the arrow 513 (the drawing direction in FIG. 7), the lower end of the banknote 521 is pulled out between the transport belt 511 and the roller 530, and the upper end of the banknote 521 is between the rollers 515. It tries to move in the withdrawal direction together with the upper bill mechanism 202 while being sandwiched.

At this time, in FIG. 7, the right guide member 504 is brought into contact with the banknote 521 that is pulled out in a tilted direction, and the guide member 504 is pushed by the banknote 521 to receive a force in the direction of the arrow 701 (the pulling direction) The rotation shaft 506 is tilted in the direction of the arrow 702 (clockwise direction) with the fulcrum as a fulcrum. Thereby, the guide member 504 does not hinder the movement of the banknote 521 in the drawing direction, and the banknote strongly contacts the corner of the guide member 504, for example, to avoid contact that causes the banknote to be broken.

Here, in FIG. 7, the magnitude of the elastic force of the left spring 508 is such that the guide member 504 is tilted when the banknote 521 is not broken and the force is applied from the banknote 521 in the direction of the arrow 701 (the withdrawal direction). It is set to about the size. Further, by making the biasing pressure of the right spring 509 weaker than the biasing pressure of the left spring 508, the guide member 504 is smoothly rotated in the pull-out direction.

Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 8, when the upper bill mechanism 202 is further pulled out, the guide member 504 on the drawing direction side is pushed by the inclined bill 521 and receives a pressing force in the direction of the arrow 701 (drawing direction). , It is tilted up to a position where it contacts the passage wall 304a of the connecting portion 304 at the maximum. Further, the lower end portion of the banknote 521 is pulled out from between the conveying belt 511 and the roller 530 that are idling, and is pulled out together with the upper banknote mechanism 202 while the upper end portion of the banknote 521 is sandwiched between the rollers 515. As a result, as shown in FIG. 9, the lower end portion of the bill 521 is completely pulled out from the delivery conveyance path 266 of the connecting portion 304 and is held in a state of being vertically suspended by the upper bill mechanism 202. When the banknote 521 is completely pulled out, the biasing action of the springs 508 and 509 works on the delivery conveyance path 266 and the guide members 503 and 504 return to their original positions.

And since the banknote 521 which remained in the delivery conveyance path 266 of the banknote handling apparatus 200 is drawn out of the automatic teller machine 100 together with the upper banknote mechanism 202 as shown in FIG. Can be removed. Thus, the clerk can pull out the remaining banknote 521 only by pulling out the upper banknote mechanism 202, and the jam removal performance of the banknote 521 remaining in the delivery conveyance path 266 is improved. Further, since the guide member 504 is inclined, it is possible to avoid the strong contact at the time of withdrawal between the remaining banknote 521 and the guide member 504, thereby preventing mutual damage.

In particular, the delivery conveyance path 266 is configured to be driven by receiving a driving force from the lower bill mechanism 204 side, and a part of the bill 521 is interposed between the delivery conveyance path 266 and the upper bill mechanism 202. In this case, even if the delivery conveyance path 266 pulls out the upper bill mechanism 202 side that is not receiving power transmission, the power transmission to the delivery conveyance path 266 is interrupted at that time, and the delivery conveyance path 266 runs idle. It becomes possible to pull out the banknote 521 in the transport direction.

Next, a jam removal process in the case where a jam has occurred at a conveyance path connecting portion between the lower bill mechanism 204 and the delivery conveyance path 266 will be described with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 11 is a main part longitudinal sectional view showing a state in which the lower banknote mechanism 204 is started to be pulled out, FIG. 12 is a main part longitudinal sectional view showing a state in which the lower banknote mechanism 204 is being pulled out, and FIG. It is a principal part longitudinal cross-sectional view which shows the extraction completion state of this.

Since the remaining banknote is generated between the delivery conveyance path 266 and the lower banknote mechanism 204, the clerk pulls out the lower banknote mechanism 204 as a jam recovery process as shown in FIG. In this case, the drive gear 517 is separated from the gear 518 as the lower bill mechanism 204 is pulled out, and power transmission to the delivery conveyance path 266 is interrupted. As a result, the conveyance belt 511 of the delivery conveyance path 266 is idled, and the contact pressure (holding force) of the banknote between the opposed surfaces of the conveyance belt 511 and the rollers 530 and 531 is weakened. Thus, the bill can be freely moved in the transport direction. On the other hand, the roller 517a on the lower banknote mechanism 204 side rotates the roller 517a from the stopped state because the drive gear 517 of the drive connecting portion is not removed even when the motor (not shown) on the lower banknote mechanism 204 side is stopped. The load resistance is large and the holding power of the banknote remains strong. In this state, when the lower banknote mechanism 204 is pulled out in the drawing direction (right side in FIG. 11), the upper end of the banknote 521 is pulled out between the transport belt 511 and the roller 531 and the lower end of the banknote 521 is sandwiched between the rollers 517a. It tries to move in the withdrawal direction together with the lower bill mechanism 204 in the state.

At this time, in FIG. 11, the right guide member 536 comes into contact with the banknote 521 which is tilted in the withdrawal direction, and the guide member 536 is pushed by the banknote 521 to receive a force in the withdrawal direction. Tilt counterclockwise around the fulcrum. As a result, the guide member 536 does not hinder the movement of the banknote 521 in the drawing direction, and the banknote strongly contacts the corner of the guide member 536, for example, to avoid contact that causes the banknote to be broken.

Here, in FIG. 11, the magnitude of the elastic force of the left spring 537 is such that the guide member 536 is tilted when it does not break the banknote 521 and receives a force in the withdrawal direction from the banknote 521. Is set. Further, the biasing pressure of the right spring 538 is made weaker than the biasing pressure of the left spring 537, so that the guide member 536 is smoothly rotated in the drawing direction side.

Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 12, when the lower banknote mechanism 204 is further pulled out, the guide member 536 on the pulling direction side is pushed by the inclined banknote 521 and receives a pressing force in the pulling direction, and is connected to the connecting portion at the maximum. It tilts to a position where it hits the passage wall 304a of 304. Further, the upper end portion of the banknote 521 is pulled out from between the idling conveying belt 511 and the roller 531, and the lower end portion of the banknote 521 is pulled out together with the lower banknote mechanism 204 while being sandwiched between the rollers 517a. As a result, as shown in FIG. 13, the upper end portion of the bill 521 is completely pulled out from the delivery conveyance path 266 of the connecting portion 304 and is held by the lower bill mechanism 204. When the banknote 521 is completely pulled out, the biasing action of the springs 537 and 538 acts on the delivery conveyance path 266 and the guide members 535 and 536 return to their original positions.

And since the banknote 521 which remained in the delivery conveyance path 266 of the banknote handling apparatus 200 is pulled out of the automatic teller machine 100 together with the lower banknote mechanism 204, the banknote 521 can be easily removed. . Thus, even on the lower banknote mechanism 204 side, the clerk can pull out the remaining banknote 521 only by pulling out the lower banknote mechanism 204, and the removal performance of the jammed banknote 521 remaining in the delivery conveyance path 266 is improved. improves. Further, since the guide member 536 is inclined, it is possible to avoid the strong contact at the time of withdrawal between the remaining banknote 521 and the guide member 536, thereby preventing mutual damage.

Note that when the lower bill mechanism 204 is pulled out, the engaged drive gear 517 and the gear 518 are separated in the pulling direction in accordance with the pulling operation, so that the power transmission from the lower bill mechanism 204 to the delivery conveyance path 266 is driven. The transmission is interrupted instantaneously without using the transmission lever 516.

In the above-described embodiment, when the jam removal process is performed, the upper banknote mechanism 202 and the lower banknote mechanism 204 are individually drawn out to perform the jam removal process. 204 may be pulled out simultaneously to remove the jam.

As described above, when the upper banknote mechanism or the lower banknote mechanism is pulled out, power transmission is interrupted in the delivery conveyance path, and it becomes easy to pull out the banknote in the conveyance direction by slipping in the delivery conveyance path. When the mechanism is pulled out, the remaining banknotes are pulled out together with either the upper banknote mechanism or the lower banknote mechanism. Therefore, it becomes possible to draw out the remaining banknotes to the outside of the automatic teller machine and easily remove them from the outside.
