Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明の方法では、中実セラミック粒子と中空セラミック粒子とシリカ前駆体バインダーとを含有するコーティング組成物を調製し、開口、例えばTBCの剥離によって露出した部品の表面領域にコーティング組成物を施工し、次いでバインダーを反応させて部品の表面領域を覆う補修コーティングを生じさせる。得られる補修コーティングは、バインダーの熱分解によって生じるシリカマトリックス中に中実セラミック粒子と中空セラミック粒子を含んでいる。

Claims (20)
- アルミナ/シリカ系材料で形成された、部品の遮熱コーティングの補修方法であって、
中実セラミック粒子と中空セラミック粒子とシリカ前駆体バインダーとを含む少なくとも第1のコーティング組成物を調製する工程、
遮熱コーティング内の開口によって露出された部品の表面領域に第1のコーティング組成物を施工する工程、次いで
バインダーを反応させて部品の表面領域を被覆する補修コーティングを生成させる工程であって、補修コーティングが、バインダーの熱分解で生成したシリカマトリックス中に中実セラミック粒子と中空セラミック粒子とを含む工程
を含んでなる方法。 - 前記中実セラミック粒子が、アルミナ、マグネシア、チタニア及びカルシアからなる群から選択される1種以上のセラミック材料を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記中空セラミック粒子が、アルミナ及びアルミノケイ酸塩からなる群から選択される1種以上のセラミック材料を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記調製工程が第1のコーティング組成物をペーストとして調製することを含んでいて、前記施工工程が該ペーストを表面領域に施工することを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 第1のコーティング組成物が、10〜60重量%の溶媒、5〜55重量%の中実セラミック粒子、5〜45重量%の中空セラミック粒子及び6〜40重量%のシリカ前駆体バインダー、残部の随伴不純物を含むように調製され、第1のコーティング組成物を表面領域に施工する前に溶媒の少なくとも一部を第1のコーティング組成物から除去する、請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記中実セラミック粒子が、アルミナ、マグネシア、チタニア及びカルシアからなる群から選択される1種以上のセラミック材料からなる、請求項5記載の方法。
- 前記中空セラミック粒子が、アルミナ及びアルミノケイ酸塩からなる群から選択される1種以上のセラミック材料からなる、請求項5記載の方法。
- 前記調製工程が第1のコーティング組成物をテープとして調製することを含んでいて、前記施工工程が該テープを表面領域に貼り付けることを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 第1のコーティング組成物が、さらに少なくとも第2のバインダー、1種以上の可塑剤及び適宜1種以上の界面活性剤を含むように調製される、請求項8記載の方法。
- 第1のコーティング組成物が、10〜60重量%の溶媒、5〜55重量%の中実セラミック粒子、5〜45重量%の中空セラミック粒子、6〜40重量%のシリカ前駆体バインダー、2〜20重量%の1種以上の第2のバインダー、1〜10重量%の1種以上の可塑剤及び9重量%以下の1種以上の界面活性剤、残部の随伴不純物を含むように調製され、溶媒の少なくとも一部を第1のコーティング組成物から除去してテープを形成した後、該テープを表面領域に貼り付ける、請求項9記載の方法。
- 前記中実セラミック粒子が、アルミナ、マグネシア、チタニア及びカルシアからなる群から選択される1種以上のセラミック材料からなる、請求項10記載の方法。
- 前記中空セラミック粒子が、アルミナ及びアルミノケイ酸塩からなる群から選択される1種以上のセラミック材料からなる、請求項10記載の方法。
- 中実セラミック粒子と、中空セラミック粒子と、シリカ前駆体バインダーと、第1のコーティング組成物の中実セラミック粒子及び中空セラミック粒子よりもIR反射性、IR吸収性、耐エロージョン性及び/又は耐腐食性の高い粒子からなる群から選択される追加成分とを含む第2のコーティング組成物を調製することをさらに含んでいて、第2のコーティング組成物を施工して補修コーティングの最外表面領域を形成する、請求項1記載の方法。
- シリカ前駆体バインダーと、第1のコーティング組成物の中実セラミック粒子及び中空セラミック粒子よりも粒度の細かい1種以上の第2の中実セラミック粒子及び第2の中空セラミック粒子とを含む第2のコーティング組成物を調製することをさらに含んでいて、第2のコーティング組成物を施工して、補修コーティングの空力特性を向上させるため第1のコーティング組成物で得られるものよりも平滑な表面仕上げを有する補修コーティングの最外表面領域を形成する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記反応工程が、最初にシリカ前駆体バインダーを重合によって硬化させてシリコーンマトリックスを形成し、次いで部品を加熱してシリコーンマトリックスを熱分解してシリカマトリックスを形成することを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記部品がガスタービンエンジンに取り付けられる、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記施工工程及び反応工程が、ガスタービンエンジンに部品を取り付けたまま実施される、請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記反応工程の際にガスタービンエンジンを作動させる、請求項17記載の方法。
- 遮熱コーティングのアルミナ/シリカ系材料がシリカマトリックス中のアルミナ粒子を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法によって補修された部品であって、遮熱コーティング内の開口が遮熱コーティングの局所的剥離によって生じる、部品。
