Abstract
Description
本明細書で用いる「ポリエチレン」(PE)という用語には、エチレンのホモポリマーばかりでなく、繰り返し単位の少なくとも85%がエチレン単位であるコポリマーも包含されるものとし、密度が約0.955g/cm3未満の鎖状エチレン/α−オレフィンコポリマーである「鎖状低密度ポリエチレン」(LLDPE)や、密度が少なくとも約0.94g/cm3のポリエチレンホモポリマーである「高密度ポリエチレン」(HDPE)が挙げられる。
上記の説明および以下の実施例において、以下の試験方法を用いて、様々な記録された特徴および特性を求める。ASTMとは、American Society for Testing and Materialsのことである。TAPPIとは、Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industryのことである。INDAとは、Nonwovens fabric associationのことである。
実施例1において、ベースシートの2枚のスパンボンド層はそれぞれ、約60g/m2の等しい坪量を有していた。接着剤をベースシートのトップスパンボンド層に適用した。シース/コア比は30:70であった。他方のスパンボンド層のシース/コア比は50:50であった。トップシート(上述したもの)を接着剤に適用した。
比較例B
この例は、ボトム層より重いトップスパンボンド層を作成することにより作成されたSMS構造を例証するものである。この布帛は、第1のスパンボンドビームについてのポリマー処理量を約75g/m2の層となるように調整し、第2のスパンボンドビームについてのポリマー処理量を約45g/m2の層となるように調整した以外は、実施例1の手順に従って作成された。
この例は、ベース層をトップ層に直接溶融紡糸することにより作成された複合構造を例証するものである。トップ層は、撥水処理をしなかった以外は、実施例1に記載されたとおりにして作成した。トップ層をサーマルポイントボンドし、使用前、ロールに巻き付けた。この層を、多層ベースシートの第1のスパンボンドビームの前に、巻き戻してから、多層ベースシートを、実施例1に記載した紡糸条件を用いて、トップ層に直接紡糸した。複合構造をサーマルポイントボンドした。複合構造を、実施例1のベースシートについて記載したとおりにして撥水仕上げした。この例によれば、トップ層に直接紡糸することによりトップスパンボンド層の重量を増やしても、表2に示すように、水の透過に対する抵抗性があまり増大しないことが分かる。
Claims (5)
- ルーフライニング材料として用いる複合布帛であって、
(a)複合シース−コア繊維の2枚のスパンボンドシート層間に挟まれた複合繊維のメルトブローンウェブを含む多層ベースシートと、
(b)複合シース−コア繊維のスパンボンドシート層を含む別のトップシートと
を含み、
前記複合布帛の透湿性が前記ベースシート単体の透湿性から実質的に低減しないような方法で、前記ベースシートおよびトップシートが接合されている、複合布帛。 - 前記メルトブローンウェブの前記複合繊維が、サイドバイサイドおよびシース/コアからなる群から選択される構成にある請求項1に記載の複合布帛。
- 前記シースがポリエチレンを含み、前記コアがポリエステルを含む請求項1に記載の複合布帛。
- 前記トップシートおよび前記ベースシートが、接着ボンディング、ポイントボンディングおよび超音波ボンディングからなる群の1つにより接合される請求項1に記載の複合布帛。
- 修正されたブンデンスマン試験により測定したとき、水の透過が少なくとも2時間である請求項1に記載の複合布帛。
