Claims (10)
- ハニカム構造のチャンネルに施栓する方法であって、
その端部にマスクを有するハニカム構造を、前施栓チャンバに対して方向付け、
流動制御部材中の複数の通路を整合させ、
貯留槽から施栓材料の少なくとも一部を前記流動制御部材中の通路に通して、前記前施栓チャンバ中に移送する、
各工程を有してなる方法。 - 前記整合させる工程が、可動部材を静止部材に対して動かす工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記可動部材が0.5インチ(1.27cm)未満しか動かないことを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記流動制御部材中の複数の通路をずらす工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記通路をずらす工程後、前記貯留槽に施栓材料を補充する工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記通路をずらす工程後、前記施栓材料への圧力を解放する工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記複数の通路をずらす工程が、完了するのに1秒未満しかかからないことを特徴とする請求項4記載の方法。
- マスク付きハニカム構造に施栓するための装置において、
施栓材料の少なくとも一部を保持するための貯留槽、
その中に施栓材料のパテを有する前施栓チャンバ、および
前記貯留槽と前記前施栓チャンバとの間にある流動制御部材であって、
複数の開口を有する可動部材、および
複数の開口を有する静止部材、
を含み、前記開口のずれにより、前記施栓材料の前記マスク付きハニカム構造中への流れを制御するものである流動制御部材、
を備えた装置。 - 前記可動部材が第1の位置にあるときに、該可動部材の開口が、前記静止部材の開口と実質的に整合されていることを特徴とする請求項8記載の装置。
- 前記可動部材が第2の位置にあるときに、該可動部材の開口が、前記静止部材の開口からずれていることを特徴とする請求項9記載の装置。
