Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform setting for performing graduation-coating on the boundary of an area and to easily perform coating work even if an article to be coated is a small size, a coating area is narrow and its size or the like is multi-kind, and to enhance productivity by performing an efficient coating without spending a coating time in the coating work. <P>SOLUTION: A masking member in which a space fitted to the coating area is opened is installed between the article to be coated and a spray gun so as to be spaced from the surface of the article to be coated. Atomization coating is performed on the article to be coated through the space, and at this time, a closure matter does not substantially exist between the article to be coated and the masking member, i.e. in the open state. After the coating in which coating is performed from the space and a gradation-coating part is formed on a boundary portion at the periphery is performed, coating is performed on the coated portion so that an end of atomization is superposed from the periphery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

Description

The present invention relates to a coating method for forming a unique pattern by performing a limited range of coating on an object to be coated having a special surface shape and gradually blurring the contour at the boundary portion.

In general, a uniform film thickness is required for painting, but when two-color paint is used due to diversification of painting quality, it may be necessary to paint so that the boundary part gradually changes. is there. According to the spray coating in which the paint is usually sprayed in the form of a mist, a spray pattern in which the spray state gradually diminishes in the periphery, and the boundary portion is inevitably blurred.

Therefore, if the spray gun is moved along the boundary line of the required pattern and painting is performed, so-called gradation painting in which the boundary portion is blurred can be achieved. However, in this case, the boundary part is applied in a layered manner with respect to the base coating, and only the peripheral part of the set area is applied with the end of the spray. In the former case, the hiding power is high. Except when using paint, it is necessary to increase the film thickness in order to hide the groundwork, use a lot of paint itself, or repeatedly apply many times, leading to poor workability and poor coating such as dripping, etc. There are various problems.

On the other hand, the latter method, in which the coating is repeated along the edge of the previously painted area, has the same problem as described above in order to erase the boundary of the edge when the edge is painted with a clear boundary. is there. At this time, if the end is painted with the spray gun end as described above, it is possible to paint with a clear border and blurring the periphery, but the outer periphery of the determined area is blurred. This is difficult from the spray shape of the spray gun.

In such a case, the masking technique has been used as a method of painting limited to the range that requires painting, but as an application, the masking member is separated from the object to be coated and spray painting is performed. It has also been proposed that the border be painted. In JP-A-60-61066, a masking jig is first brought into contact with an object to be coated, and is gradually set apart, and a serrated gap is formed at the edge of the masking jig. It has been shown that painting with a spray can blur the periphery of the boundary.

In this way, it is necessary to take measures such as processing the edge of the masking jig into a saw-tooth shape, and to contact the masking jig to the area where the object is not to be painted, and the shape is linear. As shown by the simple shape that can be divided into two, there is a problem that it is difficult to implement in a complicated curve or closed area. It is not applicable if you have it.

Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 63-205179 discloses that a window can be opened for masking, placed away from an object to be coated, and sprayed from the window to blur the periphery. In this case, the rate of gradual change from the spray region is not average but changes rapidly, and a natural finish is not expected. In other words, there is a large difference between the part that is directly painted through the window and the part that is masked and applied to the gap formed in the space of the object to be painted, and since a gentle change cannot be obtained, a heavy luxury feeling It is in a situation that cannot be adopted for a certain paint.

Although there are a wide variety of shapes of paint patterns using gradation, it is necessary to stably provide the required coating quality with high productivity because of the tendency to demand a high-class feeling and the tendency to widen the taste.

Although it is possible to repeatedly perform complex painting operations using a painting robot, etc., repeated testing is required to obtain the optimal trajectory for moving the spray gun, and the effort and time are required for productivity. It has become a big problem. Furthermore, when the spray gun is moved along the trajectory of the spray area, it takes a lot of time for painting, and the time required for one painting is inefficient.

In addition, when the size of the coating area of the object to be coated is small, even if the area to be coated moves, the boundary line may overlap due to the spray pattern of the spray gun, and the target shape may not be obtained. In such a case, it is possible to cope with the use of a spray gun with a very small spray gun and a narrow spray area, but a reduction in productivity is inevitable as described above.

It is conceivable to spray at a short distance in order to produce a pattern, but if it is too close, spray particles scattered will adhere and the coating surface will become uneven. Further, if the spraying pressure is lowered to prevent this scattering, the coated surface itself becomes rough, and in any case, it is difficult to obtain a clean painted surface.

For example, when painting a head of a golf club, if the coating is gradually blurred from the part with a ridge-like bulge due to the design, the area is small, and the size and shape of the head varies depending on the manufacturer and type, In order to perform a well-balanced and well-designed coating, it is necessary to set the spray area accordingly. Therefore, even if the painting is performed by a painting robot, so-called teaching work is extremely complicated, and it takes a lot of time for setup work to confirm the finish and adapt it to production, so that efficiency can be improved. Is in a difficult situation.

JP 60-61066 A JP-A-61-57268

Even if the object to be painted is small and the painting area is narrow and the size is various, it can be easily set to blur the boundary of the area and make the painting work easy. This is the subject of the present invention. At the same time, in the painting work, it is to improve the productivity by performing efficient painting without spending painting time.

A masking member that opens a space that matches the coating area between the object to be coated and the spray gun is separated from the surface of the object to be coated, and the masking member is substantially closed between the object to be coated and the masking member. Installed in an open state, sprayed on the object to be painted through the space, and formed a blurred paint part at the peripheral paint boundary part, and then sprayed the edge part of the spray from the periphery to the blurred paint part. Paint so that they overlap.

The masking member has a flat plate shape and is fixed at a preset relative position on the painting surface of the object to be coated, or is detachably attached to a movable means that detaches from the painting area and can be easily replaced according to the object to be painted. To do.

As described above, according to the present invention, the masking member is arranged at a distance from the object to be coated between the spray and the object to be coated, and the object to be coated is passed through the space portion formed according to the region to be coated of the masking member. By spray coating, the spray particles flow from the space between the object to be coated and the masking member, so that the area shielded by the masking member is gradually applied to the object to be coated from the boundary portion. Passing while reducing, the border is blurred.

By coating the boundary part in this state so that the spray gun end overlaps from the outer peripheral part, it is less by superimposing the gradually darker paint on one paint part that becomes gradually thinner The paint allows a natural gradation that shifts to the paint color of the surrounding area. Even when using a color clear paint with low hiding power, it is possible to obtain natural changes without the need for multiple coatings, and it is possible to obtain a deep and high-class paint.

For the boundary part of the area where various sizes and shapes are required depending on the object to be coated, by preparing a masking member according to the shape and enabling installation and removal at the required position of the object to be coated, productivity can be improved. Without damaging, painting with various changes is possible, the width of painting is widened, and it is possible to provide products that meet the needs of diversifying consumers.

As a specific implementation method, embodiments will be described below with reference to the drawings for easy understanding.
FIG. 1 shows an example of an object to be coated, by applying gradation coating along the shape of the head to a golf club head, thereby producing a product that gives a high-quality feeling that satisfies the consumer's taste and gives satisfaction. It is explanatory drawing of the coating used for this.

The part to be coated is painted with a gradation paint in a state where the whole is painted in advance with the background color. FIG. 1 shows an arrangement in the case where painting is performed on an object to be coated. For example, a case where the object 1 supported by the holder 2 is coated from an upper spray gun 3 is illustrated. A masking member 4 is disposed between the spray gun 3 and the article 1 to be coated. The masking member 4 has a space 5 having a desired shape at the center, and spray particles of the paint enter from this portion to be coated on a partial region of the lower article 1.

A gap 6 is provided between the workpiece 1 and the masking member 4 as shown in FIG. 2, and the gap 6 is about several millimeters to several centimeters. There is nothing to do and it is open. Accordingly, the spray particles that have entered from the space 5 pass through the gap 6 and flow to the periphery. At this time, the spray flow changes its direction to the periphery along with the flow, and some spray particles that are not directly applied to the object are also applied to the object 1 at the gaps and gradually applied. Is passed through the gap 6 between the object to be coated 1 and the masking member 4 and is sucked into the processing apparatus and processed.

Therefore, the closer to the space 5, the higher the density of the coating, and the lower the density, the lower the coating amount. The coating amount gradually decreases and the coating color changes to the base color. The degree to which the coating density changes varies depending on the spraying conditions, but can be changed by changing the position of the gap most simply.

The shape of the space 5 is changed according to the shape of the head that is the object to be coated, and the contour and size are changed, and the skating member 4 is prepared according to each type. Therefore, it is desirable that the apparatus is configured so that the sking member 4 can be easily replaced. As shown in FIG. 2, the insertion member 10 is fixed to one end of the masking member 4, and the holder 8 is rotatably inserted into a support column 7 for mounting and releasing the masking member 4, and the gripping body 9 is laterally inserted. Is fixed. The holding body 9 is formed with an insertion portion 14 to which the insertion member 10 is detachably fixed.

The adjustment ring 11 is provided to adjust the height position of the holder 8 and is configured to be fixed by a knob 12. Further, a stopper 13 for setting the same position with respect to the article 1 is provided so that the setting can be easily made at the masking position. These configurations are not particularly limited to this, and it is not difficult to change to a configuration having the same purpose function.

Set the paint as shown in the figure, then paint with a spray gun. The spray gun 3 may be an operation of painting from above the masking member 4 by normal painting, and may be a simple operation regardless of the shape of the object to be coated and the shape of the space. Therefore, even when painting automatically by a painting robot, it is possible to paint efficiently in a very short time, reducing the time required for teaching and repeating the spray gun operation according to the shape, working time per painting Can be done efficiently without wasting.

The shape of the space 5 of the masking member 4 only needs to be cut in accordance with the pattern, and anyone can easily create it, and the desired pattern can be selected depending on the shape. The masking member 4 itself may be disposable or may be repeatedly used by washing, and may be selected according to the situation.

According to the embodiment, when the flat masking member 4 having an opening space of about 50 mm is placed about 10 mm away from the upper surface of the article 1 and sprayed with a spray gun from above 150 mm, the boundary of the space 5 From about 10 mm wide, the coating is reduced, and a blurred pattern changing to the base is obtained. In this case, the degree of penetration can be adjusted by changing the distance to the object 1 to be coated, but a sharp decrease in the amount of coating is seen at the boundary, which is not sufficient as a natural gradation.

In the case of the present invention, a gradation that changes due to a more natural phenomenon or a gradation that has a heavy depth is obtained by coating the boundary portion obtained by the above-mentioned coating by overlapping the spray end portion along the boundary portion from the outside. can get. FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram when the coating is repeated from the peripheral portion, and this method is particularly effective in the case of painting a color clear which is a base color.

FIG. 4 shows the state of spraying with a normal spray gun. When sprayed, it is known that the central portion 17 of the spray forms a sufficient film thickness and the end portion 18 becomes thinner as it goes outward. ing.
Usually, a coating robot having an accurate regeneration function is used in order to accurately move and spray the spray gun 3 along the boundary as described above. In contrast to the boundary region 16 where the coating film 15 of one paint previously applied through the masking member 4 is gradually thinned around the periphery, as shown in FIG. A beautiful gradation is formed by painting so that the portions gradually darker than 18 overlap.

In this way, when the periphery of the spray is painted and the limited area inside is not painted, the spray trajectory 3 may be positioned so that the end 18 of the spray is located, and the spray center or the opposite side. Therefore, it is not necessary to consider the spray end portion, so that it is possible to paint relatively easily. If a painting robot or the like is used, accurate movement can be easily repeated, and the whole can be simplified.

By coating the end portions in this way, it is possible to obtain a coating in which the sprays whose peripheral portions become thinner in the opposite directions overlap and change on average. In particular, a metal color is applied to the center, a dark clear coat is applied to the periphery, and even when a deep coating is applied, a high-class feeling can be obtained with a natural finish. In the central part formed with a metallic coating in the range along the outer shape, and gradually changing to the outer black paint color toward the periphery, the surrounding black is color-clear painted, deep luxury feeling A finish with was obtained.

In addition, the object to be painted can be implemented when a gradation pattern is partially incorporated, and can be used in various ranges including tableware such as bowls and decorative figurines.
