【解決手段】ユーザ情報を保持するための情報担体であって、情報担体はユーザ情報にアクセスするためのアクセス情報を有し、アクセス情報は情報担体の所定の第1の領域に保存される情報担体に関する。情報担体は更に、第1の領域とは異なる少なくとも1つの更なる領域を有し、更なる領域はダミー情報を有する。本発明は、アクセス情報が隠蔽された領域において、読み出し信号のノイズレベルが幾分増大するという洞察に基づく。アクセス情報を持つ領域と持たない領域との間のノイズレベルの差が発生することを防ぐために、アクセス情報は情報担体の特定の領域のみに割り当てられ、ダミー情報もまた他の領域に書き込まれる。これにより、情報担体に存在する又は存在するべきユーザ情報の不正な読み出しに対する改善されたコピー保護システムが実現される。

Claims (18)
- ユーザ情報を保持するための情報担体であって、前記情報担体は前記ユーザ情報にアクセスするためのアクセス情報を有し、前記アクセス情報は前記情報担体の所定の第1の領域に保存される情報担体において、前記情報担体は更に、前記第1の領域とは異なる少なくとも1つの更なる領域を有し、前記更なる領域はダミー情報を有することを特徴とする情報担体。
- 前記アクセス情報は所定のフォーマットに従って前記情報担体に保存され、前記ダミー情報は同一の又は類似のフォーマットに従って前記情報担体に保存されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の情報担体。
- 前記所定の第1の領域は、前記情報担体を再生及び/又は前記情報担体に記録する装置が前記情報担体に最初にアクセスするときに該装置によってアクセスされる領域であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の情報担体。
- 前記所定の第1の領域は、テーブル・オブ・コンテンツ領域、ディスク情報領域又はメディア・キー・ブロック領域であることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の情報担体。
- 前記情報担体は前記ユーザ情報を有し、前記アクセス情報は前記ユーザ情報に埋め込まれることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の情報担体。
- 前記アクセス情報は前記情報担体のサイドチャネルに保存されることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の情報担体。
- 前記サイドチャネルは、例えばウォブル状にされたプリグルーブのような、物理的なサイドチャネルであることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の情報担体。
- 前記情報担体は更に不変情報及び制御データ(PIC)ゾーンを有し、前記アクセス情報は前記PICゾーンに保存されることを特徴とする、請求項5乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の情報担体。
- 前記アクセス情報は、予め記録されたピット−ランドの形で、又は予め記録された高周波変調されたグルーブの形で、前記PICゾーンに保存されることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の情報担体。
- 前記アクセス情報は前記PICゾーンの所定の領域に保存され、前記ダミー情報は前記PICゾーンの他の領域に保存されることを特徴とする、請求項8又は9に記載の情報担体。
- 前記情報担体は前記ユーザ情報を有し、前記情報担体は、例えばDVD−ROMディスク又はBluRay−ROMディスクのような読み取り専用光情報担体であることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至10のいずれか一項に記載の情報担体。
- 前記所定の第1の領域の位置は、前記情報担体において隠蔽されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の情報担体。
- 前記情報担体は更にウォブル状にされたプリグルーブを有し、前記所定の第1の領域の位置は、前記ウォブル状にされたプリグルーブの径方向の変位に隠蔽されることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の情報担体。
- 前記情報担体は更に、前記所定の第1の領域の位置を示す位置ビットを有する特別なエリアを有することを特徴とする、請求項12又は13に記載の情報担体。
- 前記アクセス情報はパラメータの変化の形で前記情報担体に保存され、前記変化は積分検出により検出可能なものであることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の情報担体。
- 請求項1乃至15のいずれか一項に記載の情報担体から情報を読み出す装置において、前記装置は、前記情報担体からユーザ情報及びアクセス情報を読み出すための読み取りユニットと、前記アクセス情報に依存して前記ユーザ情報へのアクセスを提供するアクセス制御手段とを有することを特徴とする装置。
- 前記装置は更に、前記所定の第1の領域の位置を示す位置ビットを検出する位置検出手段を有することを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の装置。
- 前記アクセス制御手段及び前記位置検出手段は、VERILOGブロックに組み込まれることを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の装置。
