Abstract
Description
Claims (27)
- リード本体と、
前記リード本体を貫いて延びる導体と、
前記導体に結合された電極と、
前記電極を覆う少なくとも一片の多孔性ポリエチレンカバーと
を含むリードアセンブリ。 - 前記多孔性ポリエチレンカバーが、前記電極の少なくとも一部に巻き付けられた、機械的に引き伸ばされた超高分子量ポリエチレンであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリードアセンブリ。
- 前記カバーの第1の部分が第1の組をなす材料特性を備えており、前記カバーの第2の部分が第2の組をなす材料特性を備えていて、前記第2の組をなす材料特性の少なくとも1つが前記第1の組をなす材料特性の少なくとも1つと異なることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のリードアセンブリ。
- 前記カバーに、組織の内方成長を可能にする細孔を備えた第1のセクションと、組織の内方成長を阻止する細孔を備えた第2のセクションが含まれることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の任意の1つに記載のリードアセンブリ。
- 前記カバーが、前記電極の少なくとも一部に巻き付けられた少なくとも一片のポリエチレンから形成され、前記カバーの前記第1のセクションが第1の張力で巻き付けられ、前記第2のセクションが前記第1の張力とは異なる第2の張力で巻き付けられることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のリードアセンブリ。
- 前記多孔性ポリエチレン片が、それ自体にレーザ焼結されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のリードアセンブリ。
- 前記多孔性ポリエチレン片が前記電極に螺旋状に巻き付けられることを特徴とする請求項5または6に記載のリードアセンブリ。
- 前記第1のセクションが第1の多孔性ポリエチレン片から形成され、かつ前記第2のセクションが第2の多孔性ポリエチレン片から形成されており、前記第1の多孔性ポリエチレン片が前記第2の多孔性ポリエチレン片より大きい細孔を備えていることを特徴とする請求項4〜7の任意の1つに記載のリードアセンブリ。
- 前記第1の多孔性ポリエチレン片が前記第2の多孔性ポリエチレン片に接合されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のリードアセンブリ。
- 前記カバーの前記第2のセクションが前記リードアセンブリの遠位端部分に近接していることを特徴とする請求項4〜9の任意の1つに記載のリードアセンブリ。
- 前記カバーが前記リード本体の全体を覆うことを特徴とする請求項1〜10の任意の1つに記載のリードアセンブリ。
- 前記カバーが均一な細孔サイズを有することを特徴とする請求項1〜11の任意の1つに記載のリードアセンブリ。
- 前記カバーが親水性であることを特徴とする請求項1〜12の任意の1つに記載のリードアセンブリ。
- リードアセンブリの第1の部分に第1の多孔性ポリエチレン材料片を巻き付けるステップと、
前記第1の多孔性ポリエチレン材料片の第1の部分を前記第1の多孔性ポリエチレン材料片の第2の部分に融着するステップと
を含む方法。 - 前記巻付けるステップに、張力をかけて前記多孔性ポリエチレン材料片を巻き付けるステップと、前記ポリエチレンの細孔サイズを制御するステップとを含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリエチレンの前記細孔サイズを制御するステップが、前記張力を調整するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記リードアセンブリの第2の部分に第2の多孔性ポリエチレン材料片を巻き付けるステップを含み、前記第2の部分が前記第1の多孔性ポリエチレン材料片の細孔よりも大きい細孔を有していることを特徴とする請求項14〜16の任意の1つに記載の方法。
- さらに、前記第2の多孔性ポリエチレン片を前記第1の多孔性ポリエチレン片に接合するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記多孔性ポリエチレン片を融着するステップが、前記多孔性ポリエチレン片を80〜150℃まで加熱するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項14〜18の任意の1つに記載の方法。
- さらに、前記第1の多孔性ポリエチレン片の少なくとも一部に親水性処理を施すステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項14〜19の任意の1つに記載の方法。
- 前記第1の多孔性ポリエチレン片の少なくとも一部に親水性処理を施すステップに、前記第1のポリエチレン片に親水性剤を付着させるステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の多孔性ポリエチレン片の少なくとも一部に親水性処理を施すステップに、プラズマ利用化学蒸着プロセスで前記第1のポリエチレン片に親水性剤を付着させるステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の多孔性ポリエチレン片の少なくとも一部に親水性処理を施すステップに、前記第1のポリエチレン片にレーザで処理を施すステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の多孔性ポリエチレン片の少なくとも一部に親水性処理を施すステップに、前記第1のポリエチレン片に化学的処理を施すステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記多孔性ポリエチレン材料に細孔のレーザドリル加工を施すステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項14〜24に記載の方法。
- 前記多孔性ポリエチレン材料に細孔のレーザドリル加工を施すステップに細孔サイズを制御するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項25に記載の方法。
- 前記多孔性ポリエチレン材料に細孔のレーザドリル加工を施すステップに、あるパターンをなすように細孔のドリル加工を施すステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項25に記載の方法。
