Abstract
Description
本発明の例の実施形態では、制御メッセージは、データ・レート制御(Data Rate Control、DRC)メッセージである。
本発明の例の実施形態では、選択信号は、制御チャネルの一部を介して受信される。本発明の例の実施形態では、制御チャネルを、データ・ソース制御(DSC)チャネルとすることができ、制御チャネルの一部を、制御チャネルの明示的パイロット信号部分とすることができる。
本発明の例の実施形態では、副パイロットのそれぞれを、行列を使用して割り振ることができ、この行列は、アダマール行列とすることができる。
本発明の例の実施形態は、副パイロットの特性に基づいてデータ・レートを判定することと、判定されたデータ・レートをネットワークに示すことと、判定されたデータ・レート以下でデータを受信することとをさらに含むことができる。
本発明は、本明細書で下で与える詳細な説明および添付図面からより十分に理解されるようになるが、添付図面では、類似する要素が、類似する符号によって表され、詳細な説明および添付図面は、例としてのみ与えられ、したがって、本発明を限定するものではない。
本発明の例の実施形態を、本明細書で、図1に示された従来の無線通信システムのセクタを参照して説明する。しかし、これが、例示のみのために行われ、本発明が、このシステムに対する実施または図示のビームの本数に限定されないことを理解されたい。
図4に示されているように、明示的パイロット選択チャネル(図4のEPS)は、たとえばデータ・ソース制御チャネルと符号多重化されるか、または時間多重化されるかのいずれかで、逆方向リンク・チャネルで送信することができる。たとえば、明示的パイロット選択チャネルが、データ・ソース制御チャネルと時間多重化される場合に、データ・ソース制御チャネルと明示的パイロット選択チャネルとの両方によって使用されるウォルシュ・カバー(Walsh cover)は、従来のデータ・ソース制御チャネルで使用される可能性があるW(32,12)と比較して、W(16,12)とすることができる。上で述べたように、データ・ソース制御チャネルの振幅を調整することによって、データ・ソース制御チャネルの帯域幅の区分について補償することができる。
本発明の例の実施形態に従って、副パイロット・チャネルを使用して最大順方向リンク・データ・レートを判定する方法の例を、これから図1に関して説明する。

Claims (10)
- 送信の源を識別する主パイロットを送信することと、
複数の副パイロットを送信することであって、各副パイロットは、前記源によって送信される異なるビームに関連する、送信することと
を含む方法。 - 前記複数の副パイロットは、ビームフォーミングされる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 副パイロットの少なくとも1つの特性に基づいて判定されるデータ・レート以下でデータを送信すること
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記特性は、信号対干渉雑音比である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記判定されたデータ・レートを示す制御メッセージを受信することと、
前記受信された制御メッセージに応答して前記判定されたデータ・レート以下でデータを送信することと
をさらに含む、請求項3に記載の方法。 - 前記制御メッセージは、データ・レート制御(DRC)メッセージである、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの副パイロットの割振りに関する選択信号を受信することと、
前記受信された選択信号に応答して前記少なくとも1つの副パイロットを割り振ることと
をさらに含む、請求項3に記載の方法。 - 前記選択信号は、データ・ソース制御(DSC)チャネルの一部を介して受信される、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 送信の源を識別する主パイロットを受信することと、
前記源によって送信されるビームに関連する少なくとも1つの副パイロットを受信することと
を含む方法。 - 前記副パイロットのチャネル特性に基づいてデータ・レートを判定することと、
