Abstract
Description
二つの対向する表面を有し、0重量パーセント〜95重量パーセントの間の合成熱可塑性繊維、および100重量パーセント〜5重量パーセントの間の吸収性繊維を含んでなる、吸収性繊維質不織層;
二つの対向する表面を有する撥液性不織層であって、撥液性不織層は、撥液性組成物を含んでなる合成繊維を含んでなる撥液性不織層;および
撥液性不織層と吸収性不織層との間に挟まれている、厚み25マイクロメートル以下の、非多孔性で、液体不浸透性で、水蒸気透過性のフィルム層。
これまでの記述および以下に続く非限定的な実施例において、下記の試験方法を使用して、各種の報告特性や値を求めた。ASTMは、米国材料試験協会(The American Society for Testing and Materials)を指す。TAPPIは、紙パルプ技術協会(The Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industry)を指す。ISOは、国際標準化機構(The International Organization for Standardization)を指す。INDAは、不織布工業会(Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry)を指す。
これらの実施例においては、1.0オンス/平方ヤード(34g/m2)の坪量を有する、3種の異なった粉末接着された不織層を吸収性内側層、すなわち通気性フィルム層に隣り合う層として使用した(サウスカロライナ州グリーンビル(Greenville,South Carolina)のHDK・カンパニー(HDK Company)から入手)。その粉末接着された不織層は、ポリエステル(ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート))とレーヨンステープルファイバーとのブレンド物から形成させ、レーヨン/ポリエステルの重量比で、70/30、50/50、および30/70の3種の異なったブレンド比を用いた。コポリエステル粉末接着剤を、不織ウェブ中の粉末接着剤およびステープルファイバーの全重量を基準にして、20重量パーセントの担持量で使用した。
これらの実施例においては、ポリエステルとリオセル繊維とのブレンド物から製造したスパンレースド不織布を、吸収性内側層として使用した。そのスパンレースド不織布の坪量は、1.18osyであり、リオセル/PETが65/35、50/50、および35/65の3種の異なったブレンド比を用いた。
この実施例においては、ポリエステルとレーヨン繊維のブレンド物から製造されたスパンレースド不織布を、吸収性内側層として使用した。そのスパンレースド不織層の坪量は1.18osyであり、レーヨン/PETのブレンド比は重量で30/70であった。
比較例AおよびBは、実施例1〜5に記載したのと同一の押出しコーティングプロセスおよびメルトブローン接着積層プロセスを使用して組み上げた。これらの実施例においては、吸収性の内側層に代えて、非吸収性の内側層を使用した。使用した非吸収性の内側層は、0.5osyの粉末接着された100%ポリエステル不織ウェブと1.0osyのスパンボンドポリエステル/ポリエチレンウェブで、フィルム厚みが比較例AおよびBでそれぞれ0.6ミルおよび0.7ミルであった。いずれの比較例のものもすべて、300秒を超える水頭を有していて、ASTM F−1670およびF−1671に合格した。その他の物理的性質は下記の表1に示す。
比較例C〜Fは、以下の表2に示すように、実施例1〜5の複合材料積層物と同様の応用分野において市販されているものである。すべての例は、ASTM F1670/F1671に合格するバリヤー性とMVTR数によって測定される通気性を有していることが要求される領域で使用されてきた。例Aを除いて、すべての例は3層積層物であったが、それについて以下に詳細に説明する。
Claims (16)
- 水蒸気透過性複合シートであって:
二つの対向する表面を有し、0重量パーセント〜95重量パーセントの間の合成熱可塑性繊維、および100重量パーセント〜5重量パーセントの間の吸収性繊維を含んでなる、吸収性繊維質不織層、
二つの対向する表面を有する撥液性不織層であって、撥液性不織層は、撥液性組成物を含んでなる合成繊維を含んでなる撥液性不織層、および
前記撥液性不織層と前記吸収性不織層との間に挟まれている、厚み25マイクロメートル以下の、非多孔性で、液体不浸透性で、水蒸気透過性のフィルム層、
を含んでなる水蒸気透過性複合シート。 - 前記吸収性繊維質不織層が、30重量パーセント〜70重量パーセントの間の合成熱可塑性繊維、および70重量パーセント〜30重量パーセントの間の吸収性繊維を含んでなる請求項1に記載の水蒸気透過性複合シート。
- 前記吸収性繊維質不織層が、ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)、ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレンおよびポリアミドよりなる群から選択される熱可塑性合成繊維を含んでなる請求項1に記載の水蒸気透過性複合シート。
- 前記吸収性繊維質不織層が、天然セルロース系繊維、再生セルロース系繊維、吸収性合成繊維、動物性繊維、およびそれらのブレンド物よりなる群から選択される吸収性繊維を含んでなる請求項1に記載の水蒸気透過性複合シート。
- 前記水蒸気透過性フィルム層が、前記吸収性不織層の一つの表面の上に押出し成形されることにより形成され、前記撥液性不織層の一つの表面が、中間接着剤層によって前記水蒸気透過性フィルム層に接着される請求項1に記載の水蒸気透過性複合シート。
- 前記水蒸気透過性フィルム層が、ブロックポリエーテルエステルコポリマー、ポリエーテルアミドコポリマー、ポリウレタンコポリマー、ポリ(エーテルイミド)エステルコポリマー、ポリビニルアルコール、およびそれらの組合せよりなる群から選択される請求項1に記載の水蒸気透過性複合シート。
- 水蒸気透過性複合シートであって:
二つの対向する表面を有するステープルファイバーの吸収性繊維質不織層、および
二つの対向する表面を有する撥液性不織層であって、撥液性不織層は、撥液性組成物を含んでなる合成繊維を含んでなる撥液性不織層、および
前記撥液性不織層と前記吸収性不織層との間に挟まれている、厚み25マイクロメートル以下の、非多孔性で、液体不浸透性で、水蒸気透過性のフィルム層、
を含んでなる水蒸気透過性複合シート。 - 前記吸収性繊維質不織層が粉末接着されている請求項7に記載の水蒸気透過性複合シート。
- 前記吸収性繊維質不織層が水流交絡されている請求項1に記載の水蒸気透過性複合シート。
- 水蒸気透過性複合シートであって:
二つの対向する表面を有する吸収性繊維質不織層、および
厚み25マイクロメートル以下の、非多孔性で、液体不浸透性で、水蒸気透過性のフィルム層、
を含んでなる複合シート。 - 前記吸収性繊維質不織層が、0重量パーセント〜95重量パーセントの間の合成熱可塑性繊維、および100重量パーセント〜5重量パーセントの間の吸収性繊維を含んでなる請求項10に記載の複合シート。
- 前記熱可塑性合成繊維が、ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)、ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレンおよびポリアミドならびにそれらのブレンド物よりなる群から選択される請求項11に記載の複合シート。
- 前記吸収性繊維が、天然セルロース系繊維、再生セルロース系繊維、吸収性合成繊維、動物性繊維、およびそれらのブレンド物よりなる群から選択される請求項11に記載の複合シート。
- 前記吸収性繊維質不織層が粉末接着されている請求項10に記載の水蒸気透過性複合シート。
- 前記吸収性繊維質不織層が水流交絡されている請求項7に記載の水蒸気透過性複合シート。
- 前記フィルム層が、ブロックポリエーテルエステルコポリマー、ポリエーテルアミドコポリマー、ポリウレタンコポリマー、ポリ(エーテルイミド)エステルコポリマー、ポリビニルアルコール、およびそれらの組合せよりなる群から選択される組成物でできている請求項10に記載の複合シート。
