Abstract
Description
同一出願人による米国特許6,607,382号、発明の名称「Methods and systems for concurrent tooth repositioning and substance delivery」(その内容が本明細書に組み込まれる)に述べられているように、歯を再配置することは、本発明の譲受人であるAlign Technology, Inc.から入手可能なInvisalign(登録商標)システムなどの一連の取り外し可能な弾力性のある位置決め器具の使用により達成される場合がある。かかる器具は、概して患者の歯に適合するが、初期または直前の歯の構造とわずかにずれている、弾力性のある材料の薄い外郭構造を有する。歯の上への弾力性のあるポジショナーの配置は、制御された力を特定の位置に加え、徐々に新しい配置へ歯を移動させる。新しい配置を含む一連の器具を使用するこの工程を繰り返すことにより、一連の中間配置または中間の整列パターンを経て、最終的に歯を最後の望ましい配置に移動させる。例となる弾性ポリマーポジショニング器具の完全な説明が、米国特許5,975,893号および公開された特許協力条約出願WO98/58596に説明されており、両文書の内容は、あらゆる目的のために、参照することにより組込まれる。

Claims (32)
- 歯列矯正治療のコンプライアンスを監視するための装置であって、
一本以上の歯に着用されるよう適合させた器具と、
コンプライアンスを示す、該器具に取り付けられたコンプライアンスインジケータと、
を備える、装置。 - 前記器具は所定の期間の治療と併せて使用される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記コンプライアンスは、前記インジケータの視覚的、化学的、および物理的変化のうち一つによって示される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記コンプライアンスは視覚的、化学的または物理的に示される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記変化は水分、温度、化学的、および生物学的要素のうち一つによって影響を受ける、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記変化は色、形状、および大きさの変化のうちの一つを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記変化は人間の視覚またはマシンビジョンによって検出できる、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記変化は生分解性または溶解可能なポリマーの分解によって影響を受ける、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記コンプライアンスは前記インジケータの大きさの減少によって示される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記コンプライアンスは、前記ポリマー存在下の色の提示によって示される、請求項1に記載の装置。

- 前記コンプライアンスは電気抵抗の変化によって示される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記インジケータに位置付けられた一つ以上の導電性充填材を備える、請求項24に記載の装置。
- 前記コンプライアンスは延伸ポリマーまたは延伸膜の透過性の変化によって示される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記コンプライアンスは質量移動または化学反応によって示される、請求項1に記載の装置。
