Claims (10)

  A topical formulation comprising a first active ingredient comprising 0.2 to 1.75 mg ivermectin per mL of the total volume of the formulation, and a second active ingredient comprising 50 to 150 mg dinotefuran per mL of the total volume of the formulation,
  Further comprising an insect growth regulator comprising (I) permethrin or phenothrin, and (II) pyriproxyfen or methoprene, and
  A topical formulation wherein the first active ingredient and the second active ingredient are packaged with the permethrin or phenothrin, but are separated from interaction with the permethrin or phenothrin.   The topical formulation according to claim 1, wherein the active ingredient is separated by use of granulated, encapsulated, micelles or encapsulated microbeads.   The topical formulation according to claim 1, which is not irritating to cats and dogs and is effective in killing endoparasites and ectoparasites at a dose of less than 10 mL.   A method for treating endoparasite or ectoparasite infestation in an animal comprising administering the topical formulation of claim 1 to an animal other than a human.   The method of claim 4, wherein the animal is a cat or a dog.   A topical formulation comprising a first active ingredient comprising 0.2 to 1.75 mg ivermectin per mL of the total volume of the formulation, and a second active ingredient comprising 50 to 150 mg dinotefuran per mL of the total volume of the formulation,
  Further comprising an insect growth regulator comprising (I) permethrin or phenothrin, and (II) pyriproxyfen or methoprene,
  The ivermectin and dinotefuran are packaged in a first container, the permethrin or phenothrin is packaged in a second container, and the insect growth regulator is packaged in either the first container or the second container, A topical formulation wherein the container is packaged in a manner away from the second container and prevents interaction with the second container prior to administration of the topical formulation.   The topical of claim 6, wherein the first container and the second container are packaged together but separated by at least one barrier to prevent interaction between the first container and the second container. Formulation.   The topical formulation according to claim 6, which is not irritating to cats and dogs and is effective in killing endoparasites and ectoparasites at a dose of less than 10 mL.   A method for treating endoparasite or ectoparasite infestation in an animal comprising administering the topical formulation of claim 6 to an animal other than a human.   The method of claim 9, wherein the animal is a cat or a dog.
