- 前記第1の干渉反射体と前記電子放出性物質との間で前記電子放出性物質と接しているTIR促進層をさらに含み、さらに前記TIR促進層が前記第1の波長域において前記第1の屈折率より小さい第2の屈折率を含む、請求項24に記載の照明システム。
- 前記TIR促進層が空隙を含む、請求項25に記載の照明システム。
- 前記TIR促進層が微細構造化層を含む、請求項25に記載の照明システム。
- 前記電子放出性物質が第2の干渉反射体と前記第1の干渉反射体との間にあるように配置された第2の干渉反射体をさらに含み、該第2の干渉反射体が前記第2の光学特性を含む光を実質的に透過するとともに前記第1の光学特性を含む光を実質的に反射する、請求項24に記載の照明システム。
- 前記第2の干渉反射体と前記電子放出性物質との間で前記電子放出性物質と接しているTIR促進層をさらに含み、前記TIR促進層が前記第1の波長域において前記第1の屈折率より小さい第2の屈折率を含む、請求項28に記載の照明システム。
- 前記TIR促進層が空隙を含む、請求項29に記載の照明システム。
- 前記TIR促進層が微細構造化層を含む、請求項29に記載の照明システム。
- 請求項1に記載の照明システムを含む車両ヘッドライト。
- 請求項1に記載の照明システムを含む投射システム。
- 請求項1に記載の照明システムを含む灯具。
- 前記多数の光導波路が多数の光ファイバを含む、請求項1に記載の照明システム。

- 前記光源が多数のLEDを含み、前記照明システムが前記複数のLEDと電気通信しているコントローラをさらに含み、該コントローラが前記多数のLEDの1つまたは複数のLEDを選択的に起動するように動作可能である、請求項1に記載の照明システム。

- 照明システムであって、
第1の光学特性を含む光を放出する光源と、
前記光源に光学的に結合されている多数の光導波路であって、各光導波路が各々入力面と出力面とを含む多数の光導波路と、
前記多数の光導波路の少なくとも1つの光導波路からの光を受光するように配置されている電子放射性物質であって、前記第1の光学特性を含む光で照明されると第2の光学特性を含む光を放出する電子放出性物質と、
前記電子放出性物質と前記多数の光導波路の前記出力面との間に配置されている第1の干渉反射体であって、前記第1の光学特性を含む光を実質的に透過するとともに前記第2の光学特性を含む光を実質的に反射する第1の干渉反射体と、を含む照明システムと、
前記照明システムに光学的に結合されている空間光変調器であって、前記照明システムからの光の少なくとも一部分を変調するように動作可能な多数の制御可能要素を含む空間光変調器と、
を含むディスプレイ。 - 前記照明システムは、前記電子放出性物質が第2の干渉反射体と前記第1の干渉反射体との間にあるように配置された第2の干渉反射体をさらに含み、前記第2の干渉反射体が前記第2の光学特性を含む光を実質的に透過するとともに前記第1の光学特性を含む光を実質的に反射する、請求項39に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記空間光変調器の前記多数の制御可能要素が可変透過率ディスプレイ要素を含む、請求項39に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記可変透過率ディスプレイ要素が液晶ディスプレイ要素を含む、請求項40に記載のディスプレイ。
- 多数の光導波路のうち、光を出力面に対して向ける少なくとも1つの光導波路を第1の光学特性を含む光で照明することと、
前記第1の光学特性を含む光を実質的に透過するとともに前記第2の光学特性を含む光を実質的に反射する、第1の干渉反射体を前記少なくとも1つの光導波路の前記出力面からの光で照明することと、
電子放出性物質が第2の光学特性を含む光を放出するように、前記電子放出性物質を前記第1の干渉反射体により透過された光で照明することと、
前記電子放出性物質により放出された光の少なくとも一部分を所望の場所へ向けることとを含む、
所望の場所に照明を提供する方法。
