Abstract
無線センサ・ネットワークを実現するためのシステム及び方法を提供する。
【解決手段】
本システムは、複数のモート(各モートが、センサ、および、近隣のモートと通信するための無線通信システムを有する)と、複数のモートの各々の間に分散した分散経路指定テーブルと、分散経路指定テーブルを周期的に更新するための更新システムとを含む。

Description
(1)危機の現場における時宜を得た情報を得ること、及び
(2)その情報を監視ステーションに高い信頼性をもって伝送すること
を含む。衛星画像または熱センサのような情報を得るための現時点における方策は、それらが高コストおよび低効率であるために、広範囲にわたって使用するには理想的なものではない。現在のセンサ対策によって生じるデータは非予測性のものであり、事件後に発生されることが多い。従って、そのようなデータは、危機を扱う方法に関して時宜を得た意思決定を行う際に当てにすることができない。
(1)環境の変化を感知し、データを伝送するための複数のモート13、および
(2)メッシュまたはアドホック・ネットワークを介して複数のモート13の間でデータを経路指定するための通信施設を提供する仮想ネットワーク14、
を含む。更に詳細に後述するように、各モートは近隣のモートに無線で伝送することができる内蔵型ユニットである。更に、仮想ネットワーク14は、モート13の間に分散され且つ更新システム17によって周期的に更新される分散経路指定マップ15を含む。従って、モートがデータをリレーする機能を失った場合、そのデータは他の使用可能なモートを使って再経路指定され得るし、従って、ネットワークの回復を行うことができる。図示の実施例では、更新システム17が、更に詳細に後述される「プレハートビート」アルゴリズムを利用して分散経路指定マップ15を更新させる。

Claims (24)
- 各々が、センサ、および、近隣のモートと通信するための無線通信システムを有する、複数のモートと、
前記複数のモートの各々の間に分散した分散経路指定テーブルと、
前記分散経路指定テーブルを周期的に更新するための更新システムと
を含む無線センサ・ネットワーク。 - 前記モートの各々が更に太陽電池を含む、請求項1に記載の無線センサ・ネットワーク。
- 前記通信システムが受動モードおよび能動モードを含み、前記受動モードが送信モートから受信モートにデータをリレーするために利用され、前記能動モードが当該モートによって生成されたデータを送るために利用される、請求項1に記載の無線センサ・ネットワーク。
- 少なくとも1つのトランスポート・ルータおよびモニタ・ステーションを更に含む、請求項1に記載の無線センサ・ネットワーク。
- 各モートは、当該モートが近隣のモートによってネットワークに取込まれること及び他のモートを前記ネットワークに取込むことを可能にする結合及び取込みシステムを更に含む、請求項1に記載の無線センサ・ネットワーク。
- 各モートが、当該モートを取込んだ近隣のモートを介したエンドポイントまでの一次パスを保存する、請求項5に記載の無線センサ・ネットワーク。
- 各モードが、他の近隣のモートを介したエンドポイントまでの二次パスのセットを識別するためのシステムを更に含む、請求項6に記載の無線センサ・ネットワーク。
- 各モートが、前記エンドポイントまでの前記一次パス及び前記二次パスのセットをランク付けする経路指定テーブルを含む、請求項7に記載の無線センサ・ネットワーク。
- 各モートが、近隣のモートの伝送基準のセットを分析することによって当該モートの経路指定テーブルを周期的に更新する、請求項8記載の無線センサ・ネットワーク。
- 各々が近隣の装置と通信するための無線通信システムを有する複数の装置を含む無線ネットワークをイネーブルするための方法であって、
各装置からの結合コマンド及びエンドポイントからの取込みコマンドをブロードキャストするステップと、
前記エンドポイントの近くにある装置を前記エンドポイントとネットワークにおいて結合するステップと、
追加の装置を前記ネットワークに結合させるために、前記エンドポイントに結合された各装置からの取込み信号をブロードキャストするステップと、
更なる追加の装置を前記ネットワークに結合させるために、前記ネットワークに結合された各追加の装置からの取込み信号をブロードキャストするステップと
を含む、方法。 - 前記ネットワークに結合するために使用可能な更なる装置がなくなるまで、直前のブロードキャストするステップを繰り返す更なるステップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記無線ネットワークが無線センサ・ネットワークを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 各装置が、センサ、および、近隣のモートと通信するための無線通信システムを有するモートである、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記エンドポイントまでの一次パスを各モートに保存する更なるステップを含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 他の近隣のモートを通信しようとすることによって前記エンドポイントまでの二次パスのセットを各モートに識別させる更なるステップを含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 各モートに前記一次パスおよび前記二次パスのセットを経路指定テーブルにおいてランク付けさせる更なるステップを含む、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記近隣のモートの通信基準のセットを分析することによって各モートに自身の経路指定テーブルを周期的に更新させる更なるステップを含む、請求項16に記載の方法。
- センサ・ネットワークにおいて使用するためのモートであって、
環境データを感知するためのセンサと、
近隣のモートと通信するための通信システムと、
前記モートをモートのネットワークにおいて確立するための結合及び取込みシステムと、
前記モートからエンドポイントまでのパスのセットをランク付けする経路指定テーブルと、
前記経路指定テーブルを周期的に更新するための更新システムと
を含む、モート。 - 太陽電池を更に含む、請求項18に記載のモート。
- 前記通信システムが受動モードおよび能動モードを含み、前記受動モードが送信モートから受信モートにデータをリレーするために利用され、前記能動モードが前記モートによって生成されたデータを送るために利用される、請求項18に記載のモート。
- 各モートが前記エンドポイントまでの一次パスを記憶し、前記一次パスが、当該モートを取込んだ近隣のモートを通過する、請求項18に記載のモート。
- 各モートが他の近隣のモートを介したエンドポイントまでの二次パスのセットを識別するためのシステムを更に含む、請求項21に記載のモート。
- 前記更新システムが近隣のモートの通信基準のセットを分析することによって自身の経路指定テーブルを周期的に更新する、請求項18に記載のモート。
- 各モートが当該モートの種々の機能的基準を調べる自己分析システムを更に含む、請求項18に記載のモート。
