Abstract
【課題】 電流の漏洩があった場合に電池の充放電を停止する安全性が大きな電池パックを提供する。
【解決手段】 電池保護回路を有する電池パック1において、漏洩電流検出電極12と電池パックの出力用の外部接続端子6a,6bとの間の漏洩電流を検出してオン動作を行う漏洩電流検出回路11を有し、漏洩電流検出回路11は漏洩電流を検出したとき、外部接続端子6a、6b間を短絡することで、電池保護回路の過電流検出、もしくは短絡検出の機能を働かせ、放電制御用半導体スイッチ8を遮断し、かつ外部接続端子6a、6bの一端と接続されたPTC素子10が外部接続端子6a,6b間の短絡による過大電流で動作する。

Claims (4)
- 電池保護回路を有する電池パックにおいて、漏洩電流検出電極と電池パックの出力用の外部接続端子との間の漏洩電流を検出してオン動作を行う漏洩電流検出回路を有し、前記漏洩電流検出回路は前記漏洩電流を検出したとき、前記外部接続端子間を短絡することで、電池保護回路の過電流検出、もしくは短絡検出の機能を働かせ、放電制御用半導体スイッチを遮断することを特徴とする電池パック。
- 前記外部接続端子と接続されたPTC素子が外部接続端子間の短絡による短絡電流で動作して充電を停止することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記漏洩電流検出電極が電池保護回路基板上に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の電池パック。
- 前記漏洩電流検出電極が複数個配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載の電池パック。
