Abstract

Claims (16)
- 書込み磁極と、
前記書込み磁極に隣接して位置決めされた冷却デバイスと
を備える装置。 - 前記書込み磁極が、希土類金属、又は希土類金属を含む合金を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記書込み磁極が、
第1の磁気飽和を有する第1の磁極片と、
第2の磁気飽和を有する第2の磁極片とを備え、
前記第1の磁気飽和が前記第2の磁気飽和より大きい、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記第1の磁極片が、前記第2の磁極片より低いキュリー温度を有する、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記冷却デバイスが、前記第1の磁極片に隣接して位置決めされる、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記冷却デバイスが、ペルチェ・デバイス又は熱電子デバイスを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記冷却デバイスが、ドープされたテルル化ビスマス材料を含むペルチェ・デバイスを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記書込み磁極が、Rhベースの合金を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 磁気記録ヘッド内で書込み磁極の一部分の磁気モーメントを増大するように冷却デバイスを使用するステップ
を含む方法。 - 前記書込み磁極の前記一部分が、希土類金属、又は希土類金属を含む合金を含む、請求項9に記載の方法。

- 前記冷却デバイスが、ペルチェ・デバイス又は熱電子デバイスを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記冷却デバイスが、ドープされたテルル化ビスマス材料を含むペルチェ・デバイスを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
