Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for preventing a drunk driver from driving a car.
Various devices have been developed to prevent drunk driving, but most of them check the breath of the driver with an alcohol sensor, and deploy sensors such as temperature and humidity to distinguish the breath. As shown in the present invention, there is currently no one that has a function of checking the pronunciation generated by expiration in addition to the alcohol check.
Currently, drunk driving is a social problem, and the spread of a device that mechanically prevents drunk driving is desired. The conventional drunk driving prevention device checks the driver's expiration with an alcohol sensor. In order to distinguish between exhaled air and air other than exhaled air, sensors for detecting temperature, humidity, pressure, etc. are provided. The method of confirming exhalation is used with the sensor. However, these sensors are easily affected by the surrounding conditions and are difficult to determine correctly.
In addition, since it is necessary to continuously monitor the sensor value, it is necessary to monitor energization when not in use. In addition, since a large amount of data is processed, the software and hardware are complicated, and the cost is high. Furthermore, these conventional devices cannot exert their effect on drunk driving after engine startup.
The present invention was invented in order to solve the problems related to the conventional drunk driving prevention device as described above, and is a novel and useful drinking having both functions of alcohol check and breath check with a simple configuration. The object is to provide a driving prevention device.
The present invention has the following configuration as means for solving the problems.
In other words, a macro computer having a control unit and a storage unit is provided therein, and an alcohol detector comprising a microphone and an alcohol sensor connected to the control unit, while an engine starter comprising a separate microcomputer and a relay is provided. In addition to providing a limiter and connecting the output signal from the control unit to the microcomputer in the engine start limiter, the alcohol concentration in the breath and the sound generation by the breath are determined to determine whether or not the operation is allowed. Constitute.
This invention is a drunk driving prevention apparatus which consists of the above structure.
According to the present invention, the alcohol concentration of the breath is detected by the alcohol sensor, the sound produced by the breath is detected by the microphone, and it is determined whether or not it is a drunk driving by collating with the data in the storage unit in the microcomputer. Because of this method, it is possible to make judgments using simple and small devices, reducing manufacturing costs, and eliminating the need for temperature / humidity sensors as in the conventional method. An apparatus can be provided.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described.
In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes an alcohol detector, which is a small handy type device, and is provided with a blow port 2 formed of a short tube at the top. 3 is a heater indicator lamp, 4 is a pass indicator lamp, and 5 is a reject indicator lamp, and light emitting diodes having different emission colors are used.
FIG. 1 shows the internal configuration of the alcohol detector. A
10 is a condenser microphone, 11 is a commercially available semiconductor alcohol sensor, and 12 is a current amplifier. Both the condenser microphone and the alcohol sensor are connected to the control unit, and the alcohol sensor is connected via a current amplifier and a timer.
An
In addition, the relay is connected to an engine start circuit provided in the automobile.
The alcohol detector and the engine start limiter are supplied with electric power from a battery mounted on the vehicle, and the apparatus is supplied with electric power when the engine start switch is turned on.
In order to use the present invention, an engine start limiter is first incorporated in a vehicle as shown in FIG. 2, and an engine starter equipped with an output from the engine start limiter in the vehicle (hereinafter abbreviated as a car) is used. Connect to the circuit. In addition, the alcohol detector and the engine start limiter are connected by wire connection.
When the car starts driving, the function is performed in the following steps.
1. Switch on the engine.
2. The heater of the alcohol sensor is turned on by a microcomputer 6 (hereinafter abbreviated as “microcomputer”) through a current amplifier to turn on the heater indicator lamp.
3. The alcohol sensor output is read via the sensor voltage input terminal of the microcomputer, and when the specified voltage value is detected, the heater output is turned off and the heater indicator is turned off.
4). After the driver confirms that the heater indicator is off, breathe in through the air inlet.
5. The condenser microphone output is taken in from the microphone voltage input terminal of the microcomputer, and the breath-in is confirmed from the characteristics of the amplitude and period of the taken voice waveform. This is done by collating with the data in the storage unit. That is, it is confirmed whether both the amplitude and period are within a predetermined range.
6). After breathing in, wait for a few seconds with a timer to obtain the alcohol sensor output value.
7). The alcohol sensor output value is compared with a specified value stored in the storage unit to determine whether it is normal or abnormal.
When both the alcohol value and the sound waveform are normal values, the pass indicator lamp is turned on and sent to the engine start limiter as a pass output. The relay is activated by the action of the microcomputer in the engine start limiter to activate the engine start circuit, whereby the engine can be started, and the engine can be started for one minute with a microcomputer built-in timer.
8). In the case of an abnormal value, the failure indicator lamp is turned on and sent to the engine start limiter as a failure output. Due to the action of the microcomputer in the engine start limiter, the relay is inactivated and the engine start circuit is inactivated, thereby making it impossible to start the engine.
As described above, in the present invention, it is determined using a microphone whether or not it is inhaled by breath. When the inhaled breath exceeds a certain flow rate, it becomes a turbulent flow to generate a vortex, and the vortex produces sound, which is sensed by a condenser microphone. The signal from the condenser microphone is also sent to the control unit, and the control unit compares it with the sound generation data stored in the storage unit to determine whether it is within the set value range.
This determination is performed based on the amplitude and period of the waveform as shown in FIG.
That is, when both the amplitude and period are within a predetermined range, it is determined that the person is breathing.
This data is prestored in the storage unit by artificial blowing.
Although the present invention has been described above, the present invention is characterized by checking the breath by alcohol concentration check and sound generation by breath blowing, and has a feature in performing both of these checks. Since sensors such as temperature and humidity are not used, the size of the device can be reduced.
In addition, a timer may be separately provided in the alcohol detector, and a warning may be issued so that an alcohol check is performed at regular time intervals. You may comprise so that a stop may be performed. This makes it possible to check drinking after starting the engine.
As described above, the drunk driving prevention apparatus satisfying both the accuracy of the check and the downsizing of the apparatus can be obtained by the present invention.
