被包装のロール紙の胴部を長尺状の包装材で覆うロール紙の胴巻き包装方法において、
回転ローラに支持された前記ロール紙に前記包装材を供給して前記ロール紙を包装するもので、
前記ロール紙の胴部は前記回転ローラに支持され、前記包装材の巻き始め始端側の前記包装材の長手方向の両端部をグリッパで挟持した状態で前記包装材を回転する前記ロール紙の胴部に供給して、前記包装材がロール紙を少なくとも一周した後、前記包装材の長手方向の両端部をグリッパで挟持した状態を解除し、その後、前記ロール紙の胴部は、前記包装材で覆われ、切断された前記包装材の巻き終りの終端側に相当する部分の幅方向に、接着剤を塗布し、該接着剤を塗布した前記包装材を回転する前記ロ−ル紙に供給して、前記接着剤を介して前記終端側に相当する部分の前記包装材と前記ロ−ル紙に覆われた前記包装材が接着して、前記ロール紙の胴部を前記包装材で覆うことを特徴とするロール紙の胴巻き包装方法。
