Abstract
【解決手段】半導体光増幅器1と、光フィルタ2と、周波数−振幅変換器3と、を有する波長可変レーザであって、半導体光増幅器1は、光信号の光学利得を生成し、光フィルタ2は、多段接続の導波路リング共振器で構成され、光信号に対する周波数変調を行う。また周波数−振幅変換器3は、光フィルタ2で周波数変調された光信号に対して振幅変調を行う。

前記半導体光増幅器は、光信号の光学利得を生成し、
前記光フィルタは、多段接続の導波路リング共振器で構成され、光信号に対する周波数変調を行い、
前記周波数−振幅変換器は、前記光フィルタで周波数変調された光信号に対して振幅変調を行う、ことを特徴とするものである。

Claims (6)
- 半導体光増幅器と、光フィルタと、周波数−振幅変換器と、を有し、
前記半導体光増幅器は、光信号の光学利得を生成し、
前記光フィルタは、多段接続の導波路リング共振器で構成され、光信号に対する周波数変調を行い、
前記周波数−振幅変換器は、前記光フィルタで周波数変調された光信号に対して振幅変調を行う、ことを特徴とする波長可変レーザ。 - 前記周波数−振幅変換器は、導波路リング共振器で構成されている、請求項1に記載の波長可変レーザ。
- 前記半導体光増幅器の変調領域に通電するバイアス電流を、半導体光増幅器のGain領域に通電するバイアス電流よりも低く設定した、請求項1に記載の波長可変レーザ。
- 前記光フィルタは、前記半導体光増幅器の変調領域に通電するバイアス電流に応じて、発振波長を変化させて、光信号に対して周波数変調を行う、請求項1に記載の波長可変レーザ。
- 前記周波数−振幅変換器は、前記光フィルタで周波数変調された光信号と、前記光フィルタを経ない光信号とを導入して、光信号に対して振幅変調を行う、請求項1に記載の波長可変レーザ。
- 前記半導体光増幅器と、前記光フィルタと、前記周波数−振幅変換器と、を同一基板上に集積して形成した、請求項1に記載の波長可変レーザ。
