Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a combustion method and a combustion apparatus applied to a water tube boiler, a regenerator of an absorption chiller, and the like.
Generally, control of flame (combustion gas) temperature, shortening of residence time of high-temperature combustion gas, etc. are known as the NOx generation suppression principle. Various low-NOx technologies that apply these principles have been proposed. For example, a two-stage combustion method, a concentration combustion method, an exhaust gas recirculation combustion method, a water addition combustion method, a steam injection combustion method, a flame cooling combustion method using a water tube group, and the like have been proposed and put to practical use.
By the way, with respect to a NOx generation source having a relatively small capacity such as a water tube boiler, interest in the environment is increased, and further reduction in NOx is required. However, usually, reducing NOx production often increases CO emissions, so it is difficult to simultaneously reduce NOx and CO.
The cause lies in the technical problem that the reduction of NOx and the reduction of CO are contradictory. That is, if the combustion gas temperature is drastically lowered to promote low NOx and suppressed to a low temperature of 900 ° C. or lower, a large amount of CO is generated and the generated CO is discharged without being oxidized, resulting in an increase in CO emission. End up. Conversely, if the combustion gas temperature is suppressed to be high in order to reduce the amount of CO emission, the amount of NOx produced will be insufficiently suppressed.
In order to solve this problem, the applicant has developed a low NOx and low CO technology that suppresses the combustion gas temperature so as to minimize the amount of CO generated with the reduction of NOx and to oxidize the generated CO. Proposed and commercialized (see Patent Document 1). However, the NOx reduction technology described in
Further, as another method, the applicant performs a NOx reduction step of suppressing the combustion gas temperature so that the suppression of NOx generation is given priority over the reduction of the exhausted CO value, and reducing the generated NOx value to a predetermined value or less. In addition, a low NOx combustion method is proposed in which a low CO reduction step in which the exhaust CO value from the low NOx reduction step is set to a predetermined value or less is proposed (see Patent Document 2). According to the technique of
By the way, the NOx reduction technique described in
In recent years, in addition to environmental problems (low NOx, low CO, etc.), energy saving has been screamed, and if low air ratio combustion can be realized, it will greatly contribute to energy saving. For practical reasons (increased CO generation, unstable combustion state), it was difficult to put it to practical use.
Under such circumstances, the inventors of the present application have conducted extensive research, and as a result, achieved low air ratio combustion, which has been impossible to achieve so far, to limit nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide. As a result, the present invention has led to the creation of a new and useful invention that can be reduced to almost zero and achieve extremely low NOx.
In order to achieve ultra-low NOx reduction and CO reduction by the above-described low air ratio combustion, carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxide (NOx), and oxygen (O 2 ) are contained in the gas. Need to be present at a certain rate. In particular, in the low O 2 region, the change in the carbon monoxide (CO) concentration is large due to slight fluctuations in the O 2 concentration.
Therefore, the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems of the prior art, so that the change in the carbon monoxide concentration in the low O 2 region is reduced, energy saving is achieved, and the exhausted NOx value is less than 5 ppm. It is an object of the present invention to provide a combustion method and a combustion apparatus capable of realizing extremely low NOx and low CO.

A catalyst unit that oxidizes carbon monoxide contained in the gas after passing and reduces the nitrogen oxide; and a detection unit that directly or indirectly detects the oxygen concentration of the gas downstream of the catalyst unit; The air ratio control means for controlling the air ratio in the burner based on the detection signal from the detection means, and the carbon monoxide control means provided on the upstream side of the burner which is a premix burner, The gas before contacting the catalyst part is controlled by the air ratio control means so as to satisfy the concentration ratio shown in the following mathematical formula.
([NOx] +2 [O 2 ]) / [CO] ≦ 2.0
Here, in the above formula, [NOx], [O 2 ], and [CO] indicate the nitrogen oxide concentration, oxygen concentration, and carbon monoxide concentration, respectively, and satisfy the condition of [O 2 ]> 0. Shall.
Moreover, the said catalyst part which comprises the combustion apparatus mentioned above is comprised using the base material which has air permeability, and the catalyst (catalyst layer) carry | supported on the said base material surface. The base material is made of a heat-resistant material (for example, a ceramic material such as alumina, a metal material such as stainless steel), and has a structure such as a honeycomb structure in order to secure a ventilation area. Furthermore, platinum is used as the catalyst (oxidation catalyst), but if necessary, any of noble metals represented by platinum (Ag, Au, Rh, Ru, Pt, Pd) or these oxides are used. May be. Moreover, as a catalyst, you may use together 2 or more types of these noble metals.
According to the present invention, by controlling the carbon monoxide concentration in the low O 2 region and performing stable low air ratio combustion, it is possible to achieve ultra-low NOx such that the exhausted NOx value is less than 5 ppm along with energy saving. A combustion method and a combustion apparatus that can realize low CO can be obtained.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described.
First, before describing embodiments of the present invention, terms used in this specification will be described. “Gas” refers to the gas from the burner until it finishes passing through the catalyst part, and the gas after passing through the catalyst part is referred to as “exhaust gas”. Therefore, the gas includes a gas in the combustion reaction (combustion process) and a gas in which the combustion reaction is completed, and can be referred to as a combustion gas. Here, when the catalyst part is provided in multiple stages along the gas flow, the “gas” means a gas until it passes through the catalyst part of the final stage, and the “exhaust gas” means the gas of the final stage. The gas after passing through the catalyst part.
The “primary side of the catalyst part” is the side where the burner is provided with respect to the catalyst part, and unless otherwise specified, means the gas immediately before passing through the catalyst part. "Side" means the opposite side of the primary side of the catalyst part.
Further, “not containing HC” means that the gas does not substantially contain HC that reduces nitrogen oxides (below the measurement limit).
Furthermore, the air ratio m is defined as “m = 21 / (21− [O 2 ])”. However, [O 2] is an oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas, is used in determining the air ratio [O 2] represents the excess oxygen concentration in the oxygen-excess region, non such as carbon monoxide in the fuel excess region The deficient oxygen concentration required for burning the fuel gas at the air ratio m = 1 is expressed as a negative value.
The combustion method according to the first aspect of the present embodiment is a combustion method including a gas generation step of continuously burning a burner to generate gas, and an endothermic step of absorbing heat from the gas, and after the endothermic step, A catalyst part contact step in which the gas is brought into contact with a catalyst part that oxidizes the carbon monoxide and reduces the nitrogen oxide, and a property of the gas at least one of the downstream side and the upstream side of the catalyst part Detecting directly or indirectly, an air ratio controlling step for controlling an air ratio in the burner based on a detection signal from the detecting means, and controlling a carbon monoxide concentration in the gas. And a carbon oxide control step.
According to the combustion method configured as described above, the property of the gas passing through the catalyst portion is detected by the detection means, and the air ratio control means is driven based on the detection signal, and the stable low air ratio combustion by the burner. Is realized. That is, the combustion method according to the present embodiment performs continuous combustion of the burner at a stable low air ratio without causing backfire or the like by performing feedback control using the detection means and the air ratio control means. Yes. According to such a configuration, it is possible to obtain a combustion method capable of realizing energy saving by performing stable low air ratio combustion. In addition, according to this combustion method, the concentration of carbon monoxide contained in the gas is controlled in the carbon monoxide control step. That is, according to this combustion method, the carbon monoxide concentration in the low O 2 region can be controlled. Therefore, according to such a configuration, by controlling the carbon monoxide concentration in the low O 2 region and performing stable low air ratio combustion, it is possible to achieve energy saving and extremely high exhaust NOx value below 5 ppm. A combustion method capable of realizing low NOx and low CO can be obtained.
Moreover, the combustion method concerning the 2nd aspect of this embodiment is comprised so that the said carbon monoxide density | concentration in the said gas may be raised in the said carbon monoxide control process in a 1st aspect.
Furthermore, in the combustion method according to the third aspect of the present embodiment, in the first aspect and the second aspect, in the air ratio control step, the gas before contacting the catalyst part is a concentration ratio represented by the following mathematical formula. It is controlled to satisfy.
([NOx] +2 [O 2 ]) / [CO] ≦ 2.0
Here, in the above formula, [NOx], [O 2 ], and [CO] indicate a nitrogen oxide concentration, an oxygen concentration, and a carbon monoxide concentration, respectively, and satisfy the condition of [O 2 ]> 0.
The combustion apparatus according to the fourth aspect of the present embodiment is a combustion apparatus including a burner that generates gas by continuous combustion, and a heat absorption means that absorbs heat from the gas, and the combustion apparatus after passing through the heat absorption means. A catalyst part that oxidizes carbon monoxide contained in the gas and reduces the nitrogen oxide, and a detection that directly or indirectly detects the property of the gas at at least one of the downstream side and the upstream side of the catalyst part Means, an air ratio control means for controlling the air ratio in the burner based on a detection signal from the detection means, and a carbon monoxide control means provided on the upstream side of the burner which is a premix burner. It is characterized by.
According to the combustion apparatus configured in this way, the property of the gas passing through the catalyst unit is detected by the detection means, and the air ratio control means is driven based on the detection signal, and the low air ratio combustion stabilized by the burner. Is realized. That is, the combustion apparatus according to this embodiment performs continuous combustion of the burner at a stable low air ratio without causing backfire or the like by performing feedback control using the detection means and the air ratio control means. Yes. According to such a configuration, a combustion apparatus capable of realizing energy saving can be obtained by performing stable low air ratio combustion.
Further, according to the combustion apparatus configured as described above, since the oxidation reaction for oxidizing carbon monoxide and the reduction reaction for reducing nitrogen oxide with carbon monoxide are performed in the catalyst unit, the exhausted NOx value Can achieve ultra-low NOx reduction and CO reduction such that the carbon dioxide is less than 5 ppm. That is, according to the combustion apparatus according to the present embodiment, a gas containing oxygen, nitrogen oxides, and carbon monoxide is passed through the catalyst unit, and oxygen is consumed by oxidation reaction in the catalyst unit. The carbon concentration can be reduced, and the nitrogen oxide concentration can be reduced by a reduction reaction with the remaining carbon monoxide.
Furthermore, according to this combustion apparatus, since the premixed burner is used, the carbon monoxide concentration in the low O 2 region can be reduced as compared with the case where the premixed burner is used. In addition, since this combustion apparatus has a carbon monoxide control means (for example, auxiliary fuel supply) section on the upstream side of the premix burner, the carbon monoxide concentration in the gas can be appropriately controlled. Thus, since the carbon monoxide concentration in the gas can be controlled, according to this combustion apparatus, stable low air ratio combustion in the low O 2 region can be realized.
The combustion apparatus according to the fifth aspect of the present embodiment is characterized in that, in the configuration of the fourth aspect, the detection means is provided on the downstream side of the catalyst portion.
With such a configuration, a relatively stable gas property after passing through the catalyst portion can be stably detected by the detection means. Therefore, with such a configuration, the air ratio control means can be appropriately controlled based on the detection value (detection value indicating gas properties) that is stably detected.
Furthermore, in the combustion apparatus according to the sixth aspect of the present embodiment, in the configurations of the fourth aspect and the fifth aspect, the air ratio control means is configured to provide the air amount and fuel supplied to the burner based on the detection signal from the detection means. It is configured to control at least one of the quantities.
Further, in the combustion apparatus according to the seventh aspect of the present embodiment, the amount of air supplied to the burner using the damper driven by the stepping motor by the air ratio control means in the configuration of the fourth aspect to the sixth aspect. Is configured to control.
Furthermore, in the combustion apparatus according to the eighth aspect of the present embodiment, in the configuration of the fourth aspect to the seventh aspect, the air ratio control means is supplied to the burner using an inverter that controls the rotational speed of the blower. It is configured to control the amount of air.
In the combustion apparatus according to the ninth aspect of the present embodiment, the air ratio control means is supplied to the burner using the fuel control means provided in the fuel supply unit in the configuration of the fourth aspect to the eighth aspect. It is configured to control the amount of fuel to be controlled.
Furthermore, the combustion apparatus according to the tenth aspect of the present embodiment is characterized in that, in the configurations of the fourth aspect to the ninth aspect, the burner is a premixed burner.
Further, the combustion apparatus according to the eleventh aspect of the present embodiment is configured so that the detection means detects the oxygen concentration of the gas in the configurations of the fourth aspect to the tenth aspect.
Furthermore, in the combustion apparatus according to the twelfth aspect of the present embodiment, in the configuration of the fourth aspect to the eleventh aspect, the gas before contacting the catalyst unit is air-filled so as to satisfy the concentration ratio represented by the following formula It is controlled by the ratio control means.
Hereinafter, a combustion apparatus (steam boiler) according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
Drawing 1 is an explanatory view of the longitudinal section of the steam boiler concerning the example of the present invention. Moreover, FIG. 2 is explanatory drawing of the cross section which follows the II-II line | wire of FIG.
As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the
The
In addition, the
Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 2, in the
The
Further, a gas fuel supply pipe 32 (corresponding to the “fuel supply part” of the present invention) is provided in the air
Furthermore, the
However, as described above, in the present embodiment, the
Further, an
Here, FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a main configuration of the catalyst unit according to the present embodiment as viewed from the gas flow direction. The
First, a stainless steel
The

Now, in the boiler (combustion device) according to the present embodiment configured as described above, energy saving is realized by performing stable low air ratio combustion. In addition, by using the
In the following, a process for realizing ultra-low NOx reduction and CO reduction in the present embodiment, a gas property control method, and the like will be specifically described.
In this embodiment, a
[Equation 1] ([NOx] +2 [O 2 ]) / [CO] ≦ 2.0
In the
Here, the value of ([NOx] +2 [O 2 ]) / [CO] (concentration ratio value) is 2.0 or less, but the concentration ratio value may be 1.5 or less. preferable. The nitrogen oxide concentration ([NOx]) is the total concentration of the nitric oxide concentration ([NO]) and the nitrogen dioxide concentration ([NO 2 ]). In the following, the concentration ratio of the nitrogen oxide concentration, the oxygen concentration, and the carbon monoxide concentration satisfying the
When the gas having the predetermined concentration ratio shown in the
This reduction action is considered to be performed as follows. In the
In short, in the
Here, [NOx] in the
By the way, as one of the conditions satisfying the
Further, the value “2.0” of the predetermined concentration ratio in the
In addition, if the oxygen concentration O 2 on the primary side of the
Further, in the present embodiment, as described above, the auxiliary
Here, FIG. 4 is a graph showing an example of combustion characteristics and the like in the combustion apparatus according to the present embodiment. In FIG. 4, the horizontal axis indicates the oxygen concentration in the gas, and the vertical axis indicates the carbon monoxide concentration.
Based on various experiments, the inventors of the present application perform ultra-low NOx reduction and CO reduction so that the exhausted NOx value is less than 5 ppm as well as energy saving by performing stable low air ratio combustion. As a result, an optimum balance region of carbon monoxide (CO) and oxygen (O 2 ) in the gas (see “Optimum adjustment start line of CO and O 2 ” in FIG. 4) has been found. The line indicated by the “broken line” in FIG. 4 (optimum adjustment start line for CO and O 2 ) (hereinafter also simply referred to as “optimum adjustment start line”) is the area on the left side of this optimum adjustment start line. By making the balance between carbon monoxide (CO) and oxygen (O 2 ) close to the line formed in the (arrow direction area), it is possible to achieve ultra-low NOx and CO reduction more effectively. I found out. Note that the optimum adjustment start line shown in FIG. 4 is based on the relationship of
By the way, depending on the
Therefore, in the present embodiment, when the combustion characteristics as described above (“before improvement” line) are provided, the gas fuel is ejected from the auxiliary
Thus, in the present embodiment, the combustion characteristics can be controlled by causing the auxiliary
The
First, the gas fuel supplied from the gas
The premixed gas or the like ejected from the premixed
At this time, the property of the exhaust gas is detected by an
Further, if necessary (for example, depending on individual differences of the burner or the like (combustion characteristics)), gas is supplied from the auxiliary fuel supply unit 80 (partial diffusion combustion is formed in the burner 10), Adjust the carbon monoxide concentration in the gas to an appropriate concentration.
Now, the configuration of the
The
If combustion is performed at a low air ratio so that the oxygen concentration O 2 of the gas before flowing into the
That is, in the present embodiment, the set air ratio in the

And a second control band having a fixed driving amount per unit time outside the first control band, and driving the stepping
As described above, since the boiler 1 (combustion device) according to the present embodiment is configured and functions as described above, the following effects can be obtained. That is, according to the present embodiment, it is possible to obtain the boiler 1 (combustion device) capable of realizing energy saving by performing stable low air ratio combustion. In addition, according to the present embodiment, the
Furthermore, the boiler 1 (combustion device) according to the present embodiment can control the combustion characteristics by causing the auxiliary

As shown in Experimental Example 1, according to the configuration according to the present invention described above, it is possible to realize ultra-low NOx reduction and CO reduction such that the exhaust NOx value is less than 5 ppm.

(Experimental example 2)
Next, Experimental example 2 is shown. However, this Experimental Example 2 is also an experimental example when the auxiliary
As shown in Experimental Example 2, according to the configuration of the present invention described above, the concentration ratio of carbon monoxide concentration, nitrogen oxide concentration, and oxygen concentration (([NOx] +2 [O 2 ]) / [CO ]) Is “1.84” (see FIG. 5) or less, it is possible to achieve ultra-low NOx reduction and CO reduction such that the exhausted NOx value falls below 5 ppm. Although not shown here, according to the present invention, if the concentration ratio is “2.0” or less, good effects (extremely low NOx and low CO) can be obtained.

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, examples, and experimental examples, and can be implemented with various modifications as necessary within a range that can be adapted to the gist of the present invention. They are all included in the technical scope of the present invention.

Furthermore, in the said embodiment and Example, although the case where the combustion apparatus concerning this invention was a boiler was demonstrated, this invention is not limited to this structure. Therefore, the combustion apparatus according to the present invention may be, for example, a hot water heater, an absorption refrigerating machine regenerator, or the like. That is, in the above-described embodiments and the like, since the combustion apparatus is a boiler, the heat absorption means is a water pipe, but the present invention is not limited to this, and when the combustion apparatus is a regenerator, the heat absorption means is concentrated in the absorbing liquid. It may be a tube.

Furthermore, although the case where the stepping
