Claims (24)
- 基端部を有するフィラメント状の血管内デバイスを配置するための配置機構であって、
開放基端部と、開放先端部で終端する先端区域と、該基端部と先端部との間に形成された内腔とを有する細長い可撓性中空配置管と、
配置管の先端区域の周囲に取り付けられ、配置管の先端部を先端側に越えて延びる保持スリーブと、
血管内デバイスの基端部に取り付けられる連結部材であって、配置管の内腔及び先端部を通じて連結部材にかけれる流体圧力に応じて保持スリーブから分離できるように、配置管の先端部付近で保持スリーブ内に非液密係合にて解放可能に保持される連結部材とを備えた配置機構。 - 前記保持スリーブは重合体から作製させる請求項1の配置機構。
- 前記重合体は、PET、フッ素重合体、ポリイミド、ポリアミド、ポリウレタン、ポリオレフィン及びブロック共重合体からなる群から選択される請求項2の配置機構。
- 前記保持スリーブは、半径方向拡張に抵抗する請求項1の配置機構。
- 前記連結部材は、外側面と、連結部材の該外側面に形成されるパージ通路とを含む請求項1の配置機構。
- 前記パージ通路は螺旋状である請求項5の配置機構。
- 前記パージ通路は、約2cP以上の粘性を有する液体の該パージ通路を通る流れに対して実質的な制限を与えるように寸法が設定される請求項5の配置機構。
- 前記連結部材は、血管内デバイスの基端部に旋回できるように取り付けられる請求項1の配置機構。
- 前記保持機構からの血管内デバイスの分離の表示を与える配置検出システムを更に備えた請求項1の配置機構。
- 前記配置検出システムは、
配置管内の圧力を示す第1電気信号を発生させる、配置管内の圧力センサと、
前記第1電気信号を受け、また、保持スリーブからの血管内デバイスの分離と関連した圧力の低下に応答して第2電気信号を発生させる検出回路と、
前記第2電気信号に応じて、可聴、可視もしくは認識可能な表示を与える表示手段とを備える請求項9の配置機構。 - 前記連結部材は電気導体を含み、前記配置検出システムは、
連結部材が保持スリーブ内に保持される際、連結部材との電気的接触を確立するため、保持スリーブに配置される第1及び第2電極と、
第1及び第2電極と連結部材とを通って流れる電流が発生する回路であって、保持スリーブからの連結部材の分離と関連した該回路における電気的パラメータの変化に応答して電気信号を発生させる該回路と、
前記電気信号に応じて、可聴、可視もしくは認識可能な表示を与える表示手段とを備える請求項9の配置機構。 - 前記電気的パラメータは、抵抗及び電流からなる群から選択される請求項11の配置機構。
- フィラメント状の血管内デバイスを目標血管部位内へと配置する方法であって、
(a)開放基端部と、開放先端部に終端する先端区域と、該基端部と先端部との間に形成された内腔とを有する細長い可撓性中空配置管を準備する工程と、
(b)基端部と、該基端部に取り付けられる連結部材とを有するフィラメント状の血管内デバイスを準備する工程であって、連結部材が開放先端部近傍の配置管に解放可能に取り付けられ、連結部材にはパージ通路が形成される当該工程と、
(c)パージ通路を通じて内腔から空気を排出するのに十分であるが配置管から血管内デバイスを切り離すには不十分な圧力で内腔を通じてパージング液を導入することにより、内腔から空気をパージする工程と、
(d)血管内デバイスが配置管に取り付けられている間、血管内デバイスを血管内から目標血管部位へと導入する工程と、
(e)配置管の開放先端部を通じて連結部材にかかる液体の圧力に応じて配置管から血管内デバイスを切り離すために、少なくとも約30kg/cm2の圧力で内腔の基端部内へと液体を注入する工程とを含む方法。 - (f)前記配置管からの血管内デバイスの分離に応答して電気信号を発生させる工程を更に含む請求項13の方法。
- 前記パージ通路は、事前に設定した粘性以上の粘性を有する液体の該パージ通路を通る流れに対して実質的な制限を与えるように寸法が設定され、前記注入工程は、前記内腔を通じて該事前に設定した粘性を上回る粘性を有する液体を注入する工程を含む請求項13の方法。
