Description

The present invention relates to an electronic component mounting apparatus for mounting electronic components on a printed circuit board, and particularly to a cable support member that supports an electric wire, an air tube, and the like connected to a mounting head.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an electronic component mounting apparatus includes an X-axis guide (X-axis table) that is supported at both ends by a Y-axis guide (Y-axis table) that extends back and forth (Y-axis direction) and that is movable in the Y-axis direction. The X-axis guide has a mounting head supported by the X-axis guide and movable in the left-right direction (X-axis direction). An electric wire and an air tube extend from a predetermined position on the upper surface of the X-axis guide toward the mounting head. These upper ends are connected to the mounting head to apply a driving force to the mounting head and to apply a vacuum pressure for sucking electronic components to a suction nozzle provided in the mounting head (see Patent Document 2).

The mounting head moves in the XY direction along the horizontal plane on the upper surface of the apparatus machine frame, and the electronic component sucked by the suction nozzle provided in the mounting head is mounted on the lower printed board. As the mounting head moves, the electric wire and the air tube also move.

In a cable support member (cable docking chain, see Patent Document 1) formed by connecting a large number of blocks in order to support and guide these electric wires and pneumatic tubes and to give them a predetermined movement locus. It is used by passing electric wires and air tubes.

However, if the mounting head moves in the X-axis direction while moving the X-axis guide in the Y-axis direction, lateral pressure acts on the blocks constituting the cable support member due to acceleration caused by acceleration / deceleration in the orthogonal Y-direction, causing wear and damage. There was a problem that occurred.

As wear increases after long-term use, play occurs between the connected blocks. Due to this play, the bent state of the cable support member after long-time use has a lower bending rate than the initial state.

When the mounting head is stopped after moving in such a state, at the moment of stopping, the cable support member is originally designed by the inertial force of the cable support member or the inertial force of the electric wire or air tube inside the cable support member. The stopper is pushed up greatly compared to the bent state and exceeds the predetermined rotation range, so that the stopper further wears and the amount of rotation between the blocks increases, thereby connecting the blocks to each other. Pins and holes will also wear out.

The change in the connection state of the cable support member after the mounting head stops causes the cable support member to vibrate. This vibration is transmitted to the mounting head, and there is a possibility that the stopping accuracy of the mounting head is lowered. Moreover, in order to improve stop accuracy, it is necessary to lengthen the stop time of the mounting head.

The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described problems, and has a configuration in which a side pressure is not applied to the link constituting the cable support member during acceleration / deceleration in the Y-axis direction. An object of the present invention is to provide an electronic component mounting apparatus that improves the above.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the invention according to claim 1 is formed by connecting a mounting head that holds an electronic component and moves along an X-axis guide, and fixed members at both ends by a number of blocks, One end side is supported by the mounting head, folded back into a U shape, and the other end side is supported at a predetermined position on the X-axis guide, and the mounting head passes through the cable support member. A pair of guides extending in a direction in which the bent portion moves at a height position of the bent portion of the cable support member on both side surfaces of the cable support member. The above problem is solved by arranging a member and allowing the cable support member to freely move the bent portion while bending between the guide members.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, the cable support member is configured by the acceleration when the X-axis guide that supports the mounting head is accelerated or decelerated in the Y-axis direction by guiding both side surfaces of the bent portion of the cable support member. Since no side pressure is applied to the block to be worn, wear and damage to the connecting part of the block can be prevented, and the contact part of the cable support member and the guide member is limited to the bent part of the cable support member. Since the load is not applied, the connection state of the cable support member is hardly changed when the mounting head is stopped.

A first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an electronic component mounting apparatus to which the present invention is applied. FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a single block constituting the cable support member. FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the cable support member and the guide member. FIG. 4 is a side view of the cable support member and the guide member. FIG. 5 is a side view of another embodiment of the cable support member and the guide member.

The electronic component mounting apparatus 1 includes a mounting head 2 that sucks and holds electronic components and mounts these electronic components on a printed circuit board. The mounting head 2 moves along a horizontal plane at the upper part of the machine frame by an X-axis guide 3 and a pair of Y-axis guides 4 which will be described later.

The mounting head 2 includes a suction nozzle that sucks an electronic component (not shown), a first servo motor that moves the suction nozzle up and down, a second servo motor that rotates the suction nozzle, a pneumatic solenoid valve, and various sensors. .

The mounting head 2 is movably held by an X-axis guide 3 arranged along the X-axis direction. The X-axis guide 3 is movably held by a pair of Y-axis guides 4 arranged at both ends along the Y-axis direction. The pair of Y-axis guides 4 are fixed to a frame (machine frame) 5.

The electronic component mounting apparatus 1 includes an X-axis motor 6 that moves the mounting head 2 in the X-axis direction, and a Y-axis motor 7 that moves the X-axis guide 3 in the Y-axis direction. When the X-axis motor 6 and the Y-axis motor 7 are driven, the mounting head 2 moves along the horizontal plane at the top of the machine frame. Then, after the mounting head 2 is stopped at a predetermined position, the suction nozzle is moved up and down to mount an electronic component on the printed board.

In the electronic component mounting apparatus 1, a linear member 8 such as an electric cable or an air tube is disposed from the air pressure source or the control device inside the machine casing 5 toward the mounting head 2. In order to connect the linear member 8 such as a cable to the mounting head 2, a Y-axis direction cable support member 9 and an X-axis direction cable support member 10 are used. The upper end side of the Y-axis direction cable support member 9 is fixed to the upper part of the machine casing 5 and the lower end side is supported by an X-axis guide 3 as a moving body. The X-axis direction cable support member 10 has an upper end supported by a mounting head 2 as a moving body, and a lower end supported and fixed to a central portion of the upper surface of the X-axis guide 3.

The linear member 8 passes through the Y-axis direction cable support member 9 from a predetermined position 5a at the upper part of the machine frame.
Next, the linear member 8 is guided from the lower end of the Y-axis direction cable support member 9 to the central portion of the X-axis guide 3 along the X-axis guide 3. Next, it passes through the inside of the X-axis direction cable support member 10 and is connected to the mounting head 2.

Both cable support members 9 and 10 support the linear member 8 so that it does not hang down and guide it to give them a predetermined movement trajectory. In particular, the X-axis cable support member 10 has both sides (front side). A guide member 20 extending in the direction of the X-axis guide 3 is attached to the X-axis guide 3 so as to prevent the bent portion of the X-axis cable support member from falling over.

The cable support members 9 and 10 are formed by connecting a large number of blocks (units) 11 as shown in FIG. The block 11 is composed of two opposing oval plate-like members 12 and two connecting plates 13 that connect them. The plate-like member 12 and the connecting plate 13 form a mouth-shaped opening. A linear member 8 such as an electric wire or a pneumatic tube is guided and supported by this opening.

Both end portions of the two plate-like members 12 are each formed in a semicircular shape. A rotating shaft 14 is formed at the center of one semicircle, and a bearing 15 is formed at the other center.

A cutout portion 16 is formed on the outer surface of the semicircular end portion on the side where the rotation shaft 14 of the block 11 is formed. A stopper 17 is formed on the inner surface of the connecting plate 13. The block 11 can be rotated by fitting the rotating shaft 14 and the bearing 15 between the adjacent cable support members. When the rotating shaft 14 is rotated, the block 17 comes into contact with the stopper 17. Eleven rotation ranges are defined.

The X-axis cable support member 10 and the guide member 20 shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 are extracted from the X-axis cable support member 10 and the guide member 20 in order to explain the positional relationship between the X-axis cable support member 10 and the guide member 20. The description is simplified.

A pair of guide members 20 are disposed on both front and rear side surfaces of the cable support member 10 and extend in the direction in which the bent portion moves at the height of the bent portion of the cable support member 10. The front guide member 20a and the rear guide member 20b are configured.

The front guide member 20a is composed of a guide part 20c and leg parts 20d, 20d. The upper part of the leg part 20d is spot-welded near both ends of the guide part 20, and the rear guide part 20b is also composed of the guide part 20c and leg part. The upper part of the leg part 20e is spot-welded near both ends of the guide part 20c, and the bottom part of the four leg parts 20d, 20d, 20e, 20e is screwed to the upper surface of the X-axis guide. .

The guide portion 20c of the guide member 20 has a curved saddle shape, and the curved outer surface faces both side surfaces (front side and rear side) of the bent portion of the cable support member. The curved outer surface of the portion 20c is arranged with a clearance of about 1 mm.

In addition, when the mounting head 2 moves from the left end to the right end or from the right end to the left end of the X-axis guide, the radius R of the cable support member 10 that is bent back in a horizontal U shape is substantially constant. The center and the upper surface of the center X-axis guide in the curve of the guide portion 20c are always substantially the same height.

In the electronic component mounting apparatus 1 configured as described above, when the electronic component is moved to the component supply position in order to suck the electronic component or moved to the component mounting position in order to mount the sucked electronic component on the substrate, the mounting head 2 Is held by the X-axis guide 3 and moves in the X-axis direction, and the X-axis guide 3 is held by the pair of Y-axis guides 4 and moves in the Y-axis direction. Acceleration acts in the moving direction.

For example, acceleration acts on the Y-axis cable support member 9 in the Y-axis direction, that is, in the direction of the radius R that is bent back in the shape of a horizontal U of the cable support member 9, and in particular, the X-axis cable support. The member 10 has an X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction, that is, a radius R advancing or receding direction bent back in the shape of a horizontal U of the cable support member 10 and a lateral direction (Y-axis direction) perpendicular to the advancing or retracting direction. Acceleration works.

A force that moves in the Y-axis direction acts on the bent portion of the cable support member 10 that is folded back in the shape of a horizontal U. However, the movement in the Y-axis direction is restricted by the guide member 20, and the guide portion 20c of the guide member 20 is limited. The bent portion moves back in the X-axis direction while making contact with the side surface.

Accordingly, since the blocks 11 constituting the cable support member 10 are restricted from rubbing the side surfaces with each other, since the wear and damage are extremely small, the connection state of the cable support member 10 is hardly changed when the mounting head is stopped. There is no possibility that the stopping accuracy of the mounting head 2 is lowered.

FIG. 5 shows another embodiment, in which an air cylinder 21 is mounted on the upper side of the leg portions 20d and 20e, a guide portion 20c is provided on the other end of the air cylinder 21, and the guide portion 20c is retracted when the acceleration is small. The clearance between the side surface of the cable support member 10 and the guide portion 20c is widened.

When acceleration of a predetermined level or more is applied, the air cylinder 21 is operated to move the guide portion 20c in the direction of arrow A to reduce the clearance between the side surface of the cable support member 10 and the guide portion 20c. The movement in the Y-axis direction of the bent portion is limited to a horizontal U shape.

When the acceleration is small, the clearance between the side surface of the cable support member 10 and the guide portion 20c is wide, and the cable support member 10 is folded back into a horizontal U shape so that the movement of the bent portion in the Y-axis direction is small. Since the clearance between the side surface of the cable support member 10 and the guide portion 20c is reduced and the movement of the bent portion in the Y-axis direction is restricted when the acceleration does not contact the guide portion 20c and the acceleration is greater than or equal to a predetermined value, the cable support member 10 Wear is also minimized.
