Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a map storage medium and a navigation device, and in particular, specifies a map storage medium including location data of a junction or branch point of an interchange on a highway as facility information and a junction or branch point of an interchange on a highway. The present invention relates to a navigation device that executes navigation control.
The navigation device reads map data according to the current position of the vehicle from a recording medium such as a CD-ROM, DVD, HDD, etc., draws it on the display screen, and displays the vehicle mark at a fixed position on the display screen for driving. In response, the map is scrolled. In addition to the above, the navigation device searches for a guidance route from the departure point to the destination or a guidance route to the destination via the designated waypoint from the departure point, and displays the guidance route on the map. A route guidance function for displaying on a map and a POI display function for displaying a predetermined POI mark (landmark) on a map are provided.
There are various search setting methods for searching and setting a destination or a waypoint. One convenient search setting method is a search setting by genre. This method uses the menu screen to enter the genre name (golf course, hot spring, high-speed IC / SA / PA, art / museum, etc.) of the facility that is the destination or waypoint, and then the location of the facility. The name of the prefecture or expressway is input, and the name of the facility is finally searched and displayed to set it as a destination or waypoint.
1.○○IC(上り入口)
2.○○IC(上り出口)
3.○○IC(下り入口)
4.○○IC(下り出口)
1.○○IC(上り第1入口)
2.○○IC(上り第2入口)
3.○○IC(上り第1出口)
4.○○IC(上り第2出口)
5.○○IC(下り第1入口)
6.○○IC(下り第2入口)
7.○○IC(下り第1出口)
8.○○IC(下り第2出口)
The purpose of searching for an interchange (IC) is that the user has already set a destination and uses the IC that the user wants to enter, want to exit, and want to pass (want to pass) This is to add. Conventionally, in the highway IC as shown in FIG. 5, the facility names of the four points of the junctions A and B and the junctions C and D on the main line of the up line exit and entrance and the down line exit and entrance The position is included in the map data as IC facility information. That is, the following four facility names: ○○ IC (upstream entrance)
2. ○○ IC (outbound exit)
3. ○○ IC (Descent entrance)
4). ○○ IC (Exit Exit)
Each position data (longitude and latitude) is included in the map data as IC search information.
In addition, as shown in FIG. 6, when there are two separate entrances to general roads RD1 and RD2, the names and positions of the four facilities shown in FIG. Is included in the map data. That is, the following eight facility names: ○○ IC (Upper first entrance)
2. ○○ IC (Upper second entrance)
3. ○○ IC (Upper first exit)
4). ○○ IC (Exit 2nd exit)
5). ○○ IC (Descent 1st entrance)
6). ○○ IC (Descent 2nd entrance)
7). ○○ IC (Descent 1st Exit)
8). ○○ IC (Exit 2nd exit)
Each position data (longitude and latitude) is included in the map data as IC search information.
There is no problem with the facility information of FIG. 5, but the facility information of FIG. 6 has a large number of facilities, the amount of facility data increases, and it is difficult to know which facility name can be set as a waypoint. is there. That is, since there are two merging points and branching points in the ascending lane or the descending lane, it is difficult to determine which of the two merging points or two of the merging points should be set as via points. . In particular, the menu screen for entering the waypoints and destinations by genre only displays the facility names 1-8 above, so which of the two junctions or of the two branch points is selected? It is difficult to determine whether to set as a waypoint, and there are cases where it is set incorrectly.
If set incorrectly, for example, a user who wishes to join the toll expressway through the toll gate TG1 on the road RD1 joins the junction instead of the junction A1 (XX IC (upstream first entrance)). When point A2 (XX IC (second entrance to the uphill)) is set, the guidance route search unit searches for a route from the road RD1 to the toll gate TG2, and finds a guidance route that joins the toll road from the toll gate TG2. It will search, and it will guide the wrong guidance route. The above is the case of merging, but the same problem occurs when getting off the highway or branching off. For example, a user who wants to go to the destination by going through the toll gate TG1 from the highway up lane to the general road RD1, is not a branch point C1 (XX IC (exit 1st exit)), If you set the branch point C2 (XX IC (exit 2nd exit)), the guidance route search unit searches for the guidance route to the destination from the toll gate TG2 to the general road RD2, and wrong guidance route guidance Will do.
As a conventional technique, a navigation device that easily corrects a waypoint on a recommended guidance route to a destination has been proposed (Patent Document 1). This prior art sets intersections or interchanges (ICs) for each predetermined distance on the recommended guidance route searched as a waypoint, selects a waypoint to be changed, displays a map around the waypoint and displays a route point. Make changes.
In this conventional technology, the name of the facility desired by the user (IC junction, branch point) easily and without error in an IC in which there are two or more junctions or two or more junctions in the upstream lane or downstream lane. Is not set as a waypoint.
In view of the above, the object of the present invention is to provide a facility name (IC junction point) desired by the user easily and without error in an IC in which two or more junctions or two or more branch points exist in the upstream lane or downstream lane. , Branching point) can be set as a waypoint.
According to the present invention, in the map storage medium for storing the map data, when the interchange on the highway has two or more junctions in the up lane or the down lane, only the junction that passes at the end of the lane is obtained. The position is recorded as the position of the intersection of the lanes of the interchange, and if the interchange on the expressway has two or more branch points in the up lane or the down lane, only the position of the first branch point passing through the lane is This is achieved by a map storage medium recorded as a position of a branch point of the lane of the interchange.
Further, according to the present invention, in the navigation device that performs navigation control by specifying a junction or a branch point of an interchange on an expressway, the interchange on the expressway has two or more junctions on an upstream lane or a downstream lane. In the case where the position of only the junction that passes through the end of the lane is recorded as the position of the junction of the lane of the interchange, and the interchange on the expressway has two or more branch points in the upstream lane or downstream lane A map storage medium in which the position of only the first branch point of the lane is recorded as the position of the branch point of the lane of the interchange, and the identification point that identifies the junction or branch point of a predetermined interchange as a waypoint or destination Part, the identified being recorded in the map storage medium It is achieved by a navigation apparatus having a route search section for guidance route searching by using the position data of Nagareten or branch points.
According to the present invention, when an interchange on a highway has two or more merging points on an ascending lane or a descending lane, the position of only the merging point that passes at the end of the lane is set as the position of the merging point of the lane of the interchange. When recorded on a map storage medium and an interchange on a highway has two or more branch points in an up lane or a down lane, the position of only the first branch point of the lane is the position of the branch point of the lane of the interchange Because it is recorded on a map storage medium for navigation control, the user wants it easily and without error in an IC where there are two or more junctions or two or more branch points in the up lane or down lane The facility name (IC junction, branch point) can be set as a waypoint, and the user can search for the correct guidance route desired by the user. it can.
In a navigation device that performs navigation control by specifying a junction or branch point of an interchange on an expressway, if the interchange on the expressway has two or more junctions in an up lane or a down lane in the map storage medium, the lane If the interchange of the expressway has two or more branch points in the up lane or down lane, the position of only the merging point that passes at the end of the lane is recorded as the position of the merging point of the lane of the interchange. The position of only the branch point that passes is recorded as the position of the branch point of the lane of the interchange. When a junction or branch point of a predetermined interchange is specified as a waypoint or destination, the navigation device guides using the position data of the specified junction or branch point recorded in the map storage medium. Search for a route.
(A) Principle of the present invention FIG. 1 is a block diagram of an IC for explaining the principle of the present invention. Like the IC of FIG. 8, each of the general roads R1 and R2 has the following four junctions and branch points. is doing. That is, for the general road R1, the general road R1 from the general road R1 joins the highway HWUP, the confluence A1 from the general road R1 to the highway downline HWDN, and the highway from the highway HWUP to the general road R1 It has a branch point C1 for branching and a branch point D1 for branching from the high speed down line HWDN to the general road R1. As for the general road R2, the junction A2 where the general road R2 merges with the highway HWUP, the junction B2 where the general road R2 merges with the highway HWDN, and the highway HWUP to the general road R2 It has a branch point C2 for branching and a branch point D2 for branching from the high-speed downlink HWDN to the general road R2.
In the present invention, when an IC on a highway has two or more merging points in an ascending lane or a descending lane, the position of the merging point (entrance) of the lane of the IC is determined based on the position of the merging point that passes at the end of the lane. If the interchange on the expressway has two or more branch points in the up lane or the down lane, the position of only the first branch point passing through the lane is the position of the branch point (exit) of the lane of the IC. Record the location on the map storage medium.
That is, of the merge point A1 that merges from the general road R1 to the high-speed up line HWUP and the merge point A2 that merges from the general road R2 to the high-speed up line HWUP, the position of only the merge point A1 that passes through the last is the ascending entrance of the IC (Record as the location of XXIC (uphill entrance). Similarly, the last of the merge point B1 where the general road R1 merges with the high speed down line HWDN and the merge point B2 where the general road R2 merges with the high speed down line HWDN The position of only the junction B2 passing through is recorded as the position of the downstream entrance (XX IC (downstream entrance) of the IC.
In addition, of the branch point C1 that branches from the high-speed up line HWUP to the general road R1 and the branch point C2 that branches from the high-speed up line HWUP to the general road R2, only the branch point C2 that passes first is the ascending exit of the IC (Record as the location of XX IC (up exit). Similarly, the first of the branch point D1 that branches from the high speed down line HWDN to the general road R1 and the branch point D2 that branches from the high speed down line HWDN to the general road R2 is the first. The position of only the branch point D1 passing through is recorded as the position of the down exit (XX IC (down exit) of the IC.
As described above, the number of IC facilities recorded on the map storage medium can be reduced in the present invention by determining the IC entrance / exit, exit entrance / exit, and exit exit and recording them on the map storage medium.
In addition, when the user wishes to join the high-speed uplink HWUP with the IC, it is only necessary to select XXIC (upstream entrance) A1 as a waypoint regardless of which general road R1, R2 joins. In this way, if the navigation device should search for a route that merges from the general road R1, it searches for the general road R1 → ramp RPUP1 → XXIC (upstream entrance) A1 → HWUP, If a route to join from R2 is to be searched, a route from general road R2 → ramp RPUP2 → joining point A2 → OO IC (upstream entrance) A1 → HWUP is searched. Similarly, if the user wishes to join the high-speed down line HWDN with the IC, it is only necessary to select XXIC (down entrance) B2 as a waypoint regardless of which general road R1, R2 joins. .
Furthermore, if the user wishes to branch from the high-speed up line HWUP to the general road with an IC, simply select XX IC (upbound exit) C2 as a waypoint regardless of which general road R1, R2 Good. In this way, if the navigation device should search for the route to the general road R1, it searches for the route of HWUP → XXIC (up exit) C2 → branch point C1 → ramp RPDN1 → general road R1. If the route to the general road R2 is to be searched, the route of HWUP → XX IC (up exit) C2 → ramp RPDN2 → general road R2 is searched. Similarly, if the user wishes to branch from the high-speed down line HWDN to an ordinary road with an IC, simply select XXIC (down exit) D1 as a waypoint regardless of which ordinary road R1, R2 It's okay.

(C) Guide route search using IC as a waypoint
The guidance route search using the IC as a waypoint is performed as follows. However, it is assumed that the destination has already been set.
To set the IC as a via point, the menu key on the
Here, if it is desired to set “XXIC (upstream entrance)” in FIG. 1 as a via point, the “XXIC (upstream entrance)” is displayed on the screen by scrolling and selected. Alternatively, if the user wants to set “XXIC (upward exit)” in FIG. 1 as a via point, the “XXIC (upward exit)” is displayed and selected by scrolling. As described above, when the predetermined facility of the IC is set as a waypoint, the guide route
In the above description, the case where the IC has the configuration shown in FIG. 1 has been described. However, the present invention can be applied to an IC in which two or more junctions or two or more branch points exist in the up lane or the down lane. It is.
As described above, according to the present invention, in an IC in which two or more merging points or two or more branch points exist in the up lane or the down lane, the name of the facility desired by the user (IC merging point, branch point) can be easily and without error. Point) can be set as a waypoint, and a correct guidance route desired by the user can be searched.
