Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a belt-type roll ironer (hereinafter, also simply referred to as “roll ironer”) that irons laundry after being washed and dehydrated, and in particular, sheets used in accommodation facilities such as hotels. The present invention relates to a roll ironer for business use provided in a laundry washing line called laundry, mainly linens.
There are two types of ironers that are installed in the laundry line for business use to stretch the linen that has already been washed, one that is called the chest type and the other that is called the calendar type in Japan. There is. For the chest type, the laundry is fed between a chest provided with a groove having a semicircular cross section and a rotary press roll inserted into the groove, and the laundry is moved into the chest by the rotation of the press roll. It is pressed and transferred to the peripheral surface, and it is stretched (ironed), and the surface of the stretched laundry is glossy, but the equipment is large and rubs and feeds, so the power consumption of the transport motor However, there are drawbacks in that it is about 10 times larger than the roll type, consumes a lot of steam, has low productivity, and hurts laundry.
On the other hand, a calender type belt type roll ironer has a plurality of (usually 4 to 5) rotary heating cylinders heated by putting steam inside, and is wound around these cylinders while pressing linen against the cylinder circumferential surface. Consisting of a conveyor belt that rotates synchronously with the cylinder, it is used to stretch and finish washed linen. The gloss of the laundry surface is inferior to that of the chest type, but the equipment is relatively inexpensive and energy consumption. There is also a feature that there are few.
FIG. 7 schematically shows an example of a conventional roll ironer having four heating cylinders, in which 1 (1a to 1d) is a heating cylinder, 7 is a laundry passage, and 4 (4a to 4d). ) Is a conveyor belt provided along the passage. The
Each of the
An
At the inlets of the
The linen to be ironed contains the most moisture when it enters the ironer, that is, when it is pressed against the
When the linen is lifted from the
As a means for preventing the linen from lifting from the
In FIG. 7, the paths of the
As another means for preventing the linen from sticking to the
Since the linen is continuously fed into the ironer, if the linen is stuck without leaving the cylinder for some reason, the subsequent linen is caught one after another, i.e., clogging occurs. When the sheet is stuck, it is necessary to detect it as soon as possible, stop the operation once, take out the clogged linen, and speed up the recovery.
As mentioned above, the most reliable way to prevent the ironing linen from sticking to the cylinder is to use tape, but the tape is between the laundry and the cylinder circumference, i.e. ironing the laundry. Therefore, there is a problem that tape marks remain on the washed linen and the finishing quality is lowered. In addition, the tape is made of fiber and may break when used for a certain period of time. Therefore, the tape needs to be replaced periodically, which is troublesome for the operator.
On the other hand, recently, due to the upgrading and differentiation of hotels, there are many examples in which high quality is required for washed linens. In order to improve the finishing quality, it is preferable to use a chest type ironer. However, as described above, there is a problem that the machine cost and the energy consumption are large. Therefore, it is required to improve the finishing quality of the roll ironer. To that end, it is conceivable to increase the pressing force of the
The scraper and the structure that peels the linen from the cylinder with an air jet can avoid tape marks, but the mechanical structure becomes complicated and the external force applied from the edge of the scraper and the air flow causes the linen to be removed. Therefore, there is a problem that the external force causes wrinkles and the reliability of the peeling action is not sufficient.
This invention was made as part of research to improve the finish quality of a roll ironer to a quality close to that of a chest type, and uses the force acting on the laundry itself that passes through the roll ironer, It is an object to improve the finishing quality of the roll ironer by providing technical means that can more reliably peel the laundry from the cylinder of the roll ironer without providing a roll. Furthermore, when the laundry does not peel from the cylinder peripheral surface, it is an object to quickly detect the laundry and prevent the laundry from being clogged into the machine.
The present invention includes a plurality of rotary heating cylinders 1 (1a to 1f) and a conveyor belt 4 (4a) that is wound around these cylinders and synchronously rotates while pressing the laundry against the cylinder surface to convey the laundry. 4f), the plurality of cylinders and the conveyor belt are arranged so that the laundry is fed into the peripheral surface of each cylinder from the upper part and fed out from the lower part. The above-described problems are solved by providing a belt-type roll ironer characterized by the above.
Specifically, the
According to this cylinder arrangement, both sides of the laundry are alternately pressed against the peripheral surfaces of the four or six cylinders provided in the roll ironer, and ironing is performed.
In the roll ironer having the above structure, the laundry pressed against each
Furthermore, if the diameter of the
The phenomenon that the laundry sticks to the cylinder peripheral surface occurs in the
With the above structure, it is possible to almost completely prevent the laundry from sticking to the cylinder's peripheral surface, but it is more complete considering the case where the laundry is glued or the cylinder is dirty. If desired, a rotating
It is in the first cylinder or the second cylinder that the phenomenon of the laundry sticking to the cylinder peripheral surface occurs. Therefore, the rotating
The roll ironer according to the invention of
Since the length of the laundry passage between the
According to the present invention, the laundry can be reliably peeled off from the cylinder peripheral surface at the outlet of each cylinder without using a tape between the laundry and the
Further, according to the invention of
Further, by reducing the diameter of the
Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a side view showing a roll ironer of the present invention having six heating cylinders 1 (1a to 1f), 21 is a housing of the apparatus, 22 is a laundry (linen) inlet, and 23 is a drain. It is an exit. The
The

The

Further, as shown schematically in FIG. 3, the

As shown in the block diagram of FIG. 5, a
The trace of the
During operation of the device, the
As described above, according to the present invention, the linen is lifted from the conveyor belt at the exit portion from each cylinder or stuck to the cylinder circumferential surface without interposing a tape between the cylinder and the linen pressed against the cylinder. It provides a means to more reliably prevent clogging and clogging. According to the present invention, since it is not necessary to interpose a tape between the cylinder peripheral surface and the linen, it is possible to prevent the trace of the tape from remaining on the linen and to obtain a high-quality finished surface. Further, by increasing the pressing force of the press roll in the first cylinder and polishing the peripheral surface of the cylinder, it is possible to obtain a good finished surface close to a chest type ironer. Further, by adopting a structure in which the cylinder diameter is made small and the front and back of the linen are alternately pressed against the cylinder, the amount of steam required for ironing is reduced in addition to the above characteristics, and a large energy saving effect is obtained.
