Description

TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a decorative sheet that can be used as a cover or wallpaper for wallpaper, and particularly to a decorative sheet that is bulky and excellent in embossing properties and excellent in gravure printing suitability.

The main wallpaper is PVC wallpaper with excellent design and workability. However, non-halogen materials such as olefin wallpaper, non-woven wallpaper and paper wallpaper have been developed due to recent environmental problems. Among them, many proposals have been made on wallpaper using paper or non-woven fabric because it is easy to construct, has a good texture and feel, and does not generate harmful gases when discarded. Regarding paper wallpaper, cotton linter pulp and synthetic fibers are mixed, and a wallpaper having a good texture, bulky and excellent embossing properties is disclosed (Patent Document 1). However, when cotton linter pulp is used, the fibers tend to be bundled, and there is a problem that printing by gravure printing is white when the sheet is bundled.

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a decorative sheet excellent in printing suitability without white spots in gravure printing in a bulky decorative sheet using cotton linter pulp and excellent in embossability.

The present inventors have found that the problem can be solved by using a specific cotton linter pulp, and have reached the present invention.
That is, the present invention
(1) In a decorative sheet made of cotton linter pulp and synthetic fibers, the length-weighted average fiber length of cotton linter pulp is 1.00 mm to 1.30 mm, and the proportion of fibers of 3.00 mm or more is 5.0% or less. A decorative sheet, characterized by
Is to provide.

Since the decorative sheet of the present invention is composed of cotton linter pulp and chemical fibers, it is bulky and excellent in embossing properties, and because it uses a specific cotton linter pulp, there are few fiber bundling and printing of gravure printing is possible. There are the effects of no white spots and excellent printability.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail.
The decorative sheet used in the present invention is made of cotton linter pulp and synthetic fibers.
The cotton linter pulp used in the present invention is called cotton linter or cotton pulp used for papermaking, and the length weighted average fiber length is 1.00 mm to 1.30 mm, preferably 1.10 mm to 1. The ratio of the fibers of .30 mm and 3.00 mm or more is 5.0% or less, preferably 4.80% or less.
If the length-weighted average fiber length exceeds this range, the gravure printing suitability is inferior, whereas if it is less than this range, the embossability is inferior. Moreover, when the ratio of the fiber of 3.00 mm or more exceeds 5.0%, the number of fiber binding will increase and it is inferior to gravure printability.
Cotton linter pulp having such characteristics can be obtained by weaving the pulp suspension using a refiner or the like, and the beating degree is about 18 to 20 ° SR.

As the synthetic fiber, any synthetic fiber can be selected. However, by using a thermoplastic synthetic fiber having a low melting point in particular, it can be melted during embossing to make it difficult for the concave and convex pattern to lose its shape. The fiber length is also arbitrary, but if it exceeds 10 mm, the texture is inferior, which is not preferable. Examples of such synthetic fibers include synthetic pulp having an average fiber length of 0.9 to 1.5 mm, polyethylene resin having a fiber length of about 5 mm, polypropylene resin, low melting point polyethylene phthalate resin, and mixtures thereof. Can do.

The mixing ratio of the cotton linter pulp and the synthetic fiber is preferably 10:90 to 95: 5 by weight. If the proportion of the synthetic fiber is less than 5% by weight, the concavo-convex pattern formed during embossing tends to be lost, while if it exceeds 90% by weight, the formation of the sheet deteriorates.
Moreover, a wood type cellulose pulp can be added in the range which does not impair the effect of this invention. Examples of wood-based cellulose pulp used include NBKP, LBKP, NBSP, LBSP, CTMP, DIP, and the like.

In the present invention, the number of decorative sheets bound is desirably 10 pieces / m 2 or less. Exceeding this is not preferable because white spots appear in gravure printing.

The decorative sheet of the present invention can be produced by a known papermaking method by adding chemical fibers to a cotton linter pulp suspension adjusted to a specific fiber length and adding various papermaking chemicals.
The decorative sheet preferably contains a fatty acid-based sizing agent and an amphoteric or anionic polyacrylamide-based paper strength enhancer as papermaking chemicals.
Examples of fatty acid-based sizing agents that can be used include polyalkylene polyamines, fatty acids, epichlorohydrin polycondensates, and the like. The fatty acid sizing agent is desirably blended in the decorative sheet in an amount of 0.2 to 2.0%. If it is less than 0.2%, the water repellency is lowered and printing resistance is poor when printing is performed with water-based ink. On the other hand, if it exceeds 2.0%, the printability and paper strength deteriorate.
Examples of the sizing agent fixing agent include amphoteric or anionic polyacrylamide type paper strength enhancers. The paper strength enhancer is desirably blended in the decorative sheet in an amount of 0.2 to 2.0%. If it is less than 0.2%, the sizing agent is insufficiently fixed and satisfactory water repellency cannot be obtained. If it exceeds 2.0%, the sheet becomes hard, the texture is impaired, and the cost is increased.

In addition, conventionally used papermaking chemicals such as wet paper strength enhancers can be blended as internal additives, and talc, kaolin, titanium dioxide and the like can be blended as internal additives. it can.

The decorative sheet of the present invention is selected from a silicon resin, a fluorine resin, a styrene-acrylic resin, and an acrylic resin having a water-repellent performance that is printed on the surface of the sheet by a gravure printing method. The water-repellent agent can be subjected to a water-repellent treatment by a method such as a gravure coater.

The decorative sheet of the present invention can be particularly suitably used as wallpaper because of the configuration in which embossing is performed and the backing sheet is provided on the decorative sheet.
