前記冷却フィン15の傍らには冷却ファン6が配置され、前記冷却フィン間に冷却風を送っている。
前記モータ制御装置1においては、前記制御部2からの熱を前記ヒートシンク14に伝え、さらにヒートシンク14から冷却フィン15へと熱を伝え、冷却フィン15に冷却ファン6で発生した冷却風を当てることにより冷却フィン15から外気に放熱して装置の冷却をしている。

このような構成において、モータ制御装置1の制御部2で発生した熱は、従来と同様に冷却部3のヒートシンク4に伝達されるが、冷却フィン5の根元部が厚肉部5aを構成しているので、ヒートシンク4からの熱は冷却フィン5の厚肉部5aに速やかに伝わる。また、厚肉部5aから先端部にかけての薄肉部5bは、長さが短いので先端部まで熱が伝わりやすい。これにより、冷却フィン5全体に熱が均等に伝わり、冷却フィンが有効活用されてモータ制御装置における冷却効果が向上する。
