Description
ニトリルゴム(NBR)組成物は、その加硫物が耐油性にすぐれていることから、自動車、産業機械工業など広い分野において、オイルシール、Oリング、パッキンなどのシール材の加硫成形材料として用いられている。例えば特許文献1には、アクリロニトリル含量が20〜35重量%のNBR 100重量部に対して、カーボンブラック30〜100重量部およびこのカーボンブラックに対して5〜150重量%の酸化クロムを含有させた往復動シール用の耐摩耗性NBR組成物が記載されている。
しかるに、エンジンガスケット部のように温度変化が大きくなる部分においては、その温度変化に起因してエンジンとガスケットとの接合面間のフレッティングを生じ、このフレッティングによって、ガスケットには大きな剪断応力が生じ、ゴムと金属との摩擦によってゴム層の剥離や摩耗が発生し、その結果として金属からゴム層が剥がれてしまうといった問題があり、上記特許文献1で提案されているNBR組成物から得られる成形品についても、かかる摩擦が大きいことで、シール摺動部位ゴム部分の摩耗が大きいといった問題がみられる。 However, in a portion where the temperature change is large, such as an engine gasket portion, fretting occurs between the joint surfaces of the engine and the gasket due to the temperature change, and due to this fretting, a large shear stress is applied to the gasket.
