Description

本発明は、人間が快適に生活する上で必要な従来どおりの性能を有しながら、室内で人間と共生する犬などの動物も快適に過ごすことのできる建築物の仕上げ材に関するものである。   The present invention relates to a finishing material for a building that can be comfortably used by animals such as dogs that live together with human beings indoors while having the conventional performance necessary for a human to live comfortably.

Conventionally, floor coverings, counters, and waist walls, which are finishing materials for homes, have been pursued for the purpose of a comfortable life for humans.
In terms of slip resistance on the surface of flooring, an index established from the viewpoint of human walking C.I. S. R values are generally used, and floor materials having a slip resistance of 0.3 to 0.5 that are not slippery to the extent that they do not slip and fall properly are generally in circulation.
However, this figure is a figure that is considered to allow humans to walk comfortably. Therefore, there are many cases where it is considered that the living environment with such a finished flooring is not a comfortable living environment for care dogs that need to live with people, and for animals such as dogs and cats kept as pets indoors. is there. For example, with a hard floor finish, dogs and the like have problems such as slipping, falling, or dislocation of the hip joint in severe cases. In addition, phenomena such as cats slipping off beams and counters that have jumped on have been seen. These phenomena cause mental stress to pets such as dogs and cats living indoors, and cause undesired behavior such as biting or urinating things.

少子・高齢化に伴い介護犬や心を慰めるペットとの共生の要望が多くなってきており、これに対応できる建材が求められている。
上記の要望に応えるために、床材として室内に部分的にまたは全面に敷く特殊なタイルカーペットなど(特許文献1)が提案されているが、従来の床材と同様に施工できる人とペットに対応できる床材は知られていない。
特開2003−143990号公報
With the declining birthrate and aging population, there is an increasing demand for symbiosis with care dogs and pets that comfort the heart, and building materials that can meet this demand are being demanded.
In order to meet the above-mentioned demand, special tile carpets (Patent Document 1) that are partially or entirely laid indoors as flooring materials have been proposed, but for people and pets that can be constructed in the same way as conventional flooring materials. There is no known flooring that can be used.
JP 2003-143990 A

Conventionally, since it was not common for people to live with animals such as dogs and cats in the same room, rugs for laying on a part of the floor such as a special mat or tile carpet have been used. With such a rug, there is a problem that it is not possible to deal with an animal accompanying a place where there is always a person like a care dog, that is, a living room, a kitchen, a toilet, and the like.
The present invention is a building material that does not give stress to animals such as dogs and cats without giving a sense of incongruity to humans, by simply applying to the surface of solid materials, plywood, etc., which are conventionally used as base materials for building materials, It is intended to provide building materials that can be used for flooring, waist walls, beams, etc. by cutting, cutting, etc. in the same way as conventional building materials.

本発明者らは、床材、板壁材等の建材や家具等の木質材の塗布剤として適し、形成された塗膜が圧痕や擦り傷などに対して適度の弾力性を有し自己修復性のある塗布組成物であって、愛玩動物に対する居住性の良好な塗布組成物を求めて種々検討した結果、塗布組成物にコア/シェル構造を有する有機ポリマー粒子を配合することによって達成し得ることを見出して本発明を完成した。   The inventors of the present invention are suitable as a coating material for building materials such as floor materials and board wall materials, and wood materials such as furniture, and the formed coating film has appropriate elasticity against indentations and scratches and is self-repairing. As a result of various investigations for a coating composition which is a certain coating composition and has good habitability for companion animals, it can be achieved by blending the coating composition with organic polymer particles having a core / shell structure. As a result, the present invention has been completed.

The building material for pets of the present invention is characterized in that a coating film having elasticity and resilience and having a fine uneven surface is formed on the surface of a building material base material such as solid wood or plywood, if desired. is there.
The coating film can be obtained by applying a coating composition formed by blending organic polymer particles having a core / shell structure with a coating material composed of a curable soft or semi-rigid polymer.
Therefore, the building material for pets of the present invention can be obtained by applying the above coating composition to a required thickness on a conventional base material for building materials.
Furthermore, the present invention relates to a coating composition for pet animals comprising a coating component comprising a curable soft or semi-rigid polymer and organic polymer particles having a core / shell structure.

本発明は、圧痕、擦り傷等に対して自己復元性のある塗料に、コア/シェル構造を有する有機ポリマー粒子を添加し、該ポリマー粒子の添加量、コア/シェルの構成材質を調整することによって、人はもとより、犬、猫等の愛玩動物に対する居住性に優れた建材を得ることができる。   The present invention adds organic polymer particles having a core / shell structure to a paint that is self-restoring with respect to indentations, scratches, etc., and adjusts the addition amount of the polymer particles and the constituent materials of the core / shell. Thus, it is possible to obtain a building material that is excellent in habitability for pets such as dogs and cats as well as people.

As the curable soft or semi-rigid polymer (hereinafter referred to as curable polymer) as the coating component in the present invention, those capable of forming an elastic and restorable film when cured can be used. For example, synthetic rubber, soft or semi-rigid synthetic polymer can be used, and various organic polymers such as urethane rubber, urethane resin, acrylic resin, and vinyl resin can be used. The required elasticity and restoration property (self-repairing property) can be obtained by polymerization.

As the paint component, for example, the paint described in JP-A-2004-351712 can be used. This paint comprises (A) a bisphenol A type vinyl ester resin having a number average molecular weight of 800 or more, (B) (alkoxy) alkyl (meth) acrylate, alkyl polyalkylene glycol (meth) acrylate and alkoxy polyalkylene glycol (meta ) At least one (meth) acrylic acid ester monomer selected from the group consisting of acrylates, and (C) a radical polymerization initiator.
In this paint, the (meth) acrylic acid ester monomer as the component (B) preferably has 6 to 12 carbon atoms other than the (meth) acryloyl group, and the (meth) acrylic acid ester monomer is a homopolymer. Those having a glass transition temperature of −20 ° C. or lower and those having a glass transition temperature of 120 ° C. or higher are preferred.

(B)成分の含有量は、塗料100質量部に対して40〜90質量部、好ましくは60〜80質量部である。上記(B)成分の他に一般的に用いられているスチレン、α−メチルスチレン、アクリロニトリル、酢酸ビニル等のビニルモノマー、オリゴマーを併用することができる。
ラジカル重合開始剤としては、通常この種の分野で使用されている熱重合開始剤、光重合開始剤等が使用できる。
(B) Content of a component is 40-90 mass parts with respect to 100 mass parts of coating materials, Preferably it is 60-80 mass parts. In addition to the component (B), vinyl monomers and oligomers such as styrene, α-methylstyrene, acrylonitrile, vinyl acetate and the like that are generally used can be used in combination.
As the radical polymerization initiator, a thermal polymerization initiator, a photopolymerization initiator and the like which are usually used in this kind of field can be used.

上記の塗料を合板等の木質基材の表面に塗布することによって、木質基材の表面に弾力性と復元力のある塗膜を得ることができるが、犬、猫等の動物による歩行時の爪の当り方や運動時の転倒や高所からの飛び降りなどの際に与える衝撃などの点で満足すべき結果を与えていなかった。特に、廊下などで介護犬が車椅子を引く場合や障害者を支える場合などのように動物に負荷の掛かる場合に好ましくない影響を与えている。   By applying the above-mentioned paint to the surface of a wooden substrate such as plywood, it is possible to obtain a coating film having elasticity and resilience on the surface of the wooden substrate, but when walking with animals such as dogs and cats It did not give satisfactory results in terms of impacts when hitting nails, falling during exercise or jumping from high places. In particular, it has an unfavorable effect when a load is applied to an animal such as when a care dog pulls a wheelchair or supports a disabled person in a hallway or the like.

In the present invention, by adding organic polymer particles having a core / shell structure (hereinafter referred to as core / shell polymer particles or simply polymer particles) to a paint made of a curable polymer, A coating film that can be applied to various animals such as cats can be formed, and a building material provided with the coating film can be obtained.
The core / shell polymer particles include a core layer serving as a core and a shell layer covering or adhering the outer periphery thereof. In the present invention, it is preferable that the core material is a soft or semi-rigid rubbery polymer having rubber elasticity and the shell portion is made of a semi-rigid or hard glassy polymer. Specifically, polymer particles as a matting agent described in JP 2000-53841 A can be used.
The ratio of the core part to the shell part of the core / shell polymer particles is selected according to the purpose, but if the shell part is made larger than the core part, the elasticity of the coating film is lowered, and if the shell part is made small, the coating film is made. Increases elasticity, resilience, and self-healing power.

In the present invention, the core / shell (core: shell) mass ratio may be selected in the range of 95: 5 to 30:70, although it varies depending on the constituent polymer of the core / shell. Preferably, it is the range of 80: 20-35: 65.
The particle diameter of the core / shell polymer particles is selected and used within a range of 0.5 to 100 μm (microns). The thickness is preferably 2 to 85 μm, more preferably about 10 to 80 μm.
The blending amount of the core / shell polymer particles with respect to 100% by mass of the coating composition of the present invention is 10 to 70% by mass, preferably 15 to 70% by mass, and more preferably 20 to 45% by mass.

A coating film having fine irregularities on the surface can be obtained depending on the size and blending amount of the core / shell polymer particles added to the coating composition of the present invention, and the size of the particles can be reduced and the amount added can be reduced. Thus, a coating film close to a smooth surface can be obtained.
In addition to the core / shell polymer particles, colorants, fillers and the like that are usually added to the coating composition can be added to the coating composition of the present invention.
The coating amount of the coating composition of the present invention varies depending on the polymer type of the coating component, the properties of the core / shell polymer particles, and the addition amount, but is selected in the range of 3 to 1000 μm (microns), preferably 5 to 5 μm. The range is 500 μm, more preferably 5 to 100 μm, particularly 10 to 30 μm.

本発明は上記塗布組成物を木質基材に塗布することによって達成されるため、被塗物となる木質基材は、合板、ファイバーボード、ストランドあるいはそれらの複合材料、無垢材、集成材など、いずれも使用できる。本発明の塗布組成物の塗布方法は、ローラコート、スプレーコートなどの常法によって行うことができる。
したがって、本発明の塗布組成物の塗布によって得られる建材は、床材、腰壁、幅木、カウンター、階段踏板、笠木、手摺りなどが例示される。
Since the present invention is achieved by applying the coating composition to a wooden substrate, the wooden substrate to be coated is plywood, fiberboard, strand or composite material thereof, solid wood, laminated wood, etc. Either can be used. The coating method of the coating composition of the present invention can be performed by a conventional method such as roller coating or spray coating.
Therefore, examples of the building material obtained by applying the coating composition of the present invention include flooring, waist wall, skirting board, counter, stair step board, headboard, handrail and the like.

In addition, the floor material which apply | coated the thing which does not add a polymer particle by the said coating composition as the comparative example 1 was used, and the commercially available coating floor material (The product made from Wood One; Combit stripe oak V) was used as the comparative example 2. The results are shown in Table 1.

Figure 2007020454
Figure 2007020454
In the table, Example A has a polymer particle content of 10 parts by mass, B has 20 parts by mass, and C has 30 parts by mass.
The restoreability was evaluated as ◎ when it almost returned to its original state. In correspondence (1), the state where the amount of food intake decreased or the state of feces became diarrhea or the like was evaluated as “x”, the state where any occurred was Δ, and the case where there was no change was rated “◎”.
In correspondence (2), the state where climbing was not successful was marked with x. Although it was able to climb in the comparative example 1, it was set as x since the nail part remained. Correspondence to cats (2) was determined by the presence or absence of a claw after tilting the floor board at an angle of 60 °. Since the floorboards of Examples A to C easily return to the original surface state even when a claw mark is made when the cat climbs, it can be used as a cat nail sharpening board.
As shown in Table 1, all the flooring materials according to the present invention are C.I. S. The R value is the same as that of the conventional flooring material, and the compatibility with pets is good, so that it can be used as a symbiotic material for people and pets.

The core / shell polymer particles were blended in a commercially available soft acrylic resin paint and polyurethane paint in place of the paint component, respectively, and the same test was performed with similar results.
In the present invention, the coating film can be made pet-compatible by adding the core / shell polymer particles, so that it is possible to produce floor materials, waist wall materials, beam materials for various animals, not only dogs and cats. These building materials can be processed in accordance with conventional methods to create skirting boards, counters, window frames and the like.
In the present invention, the core / shell polymer particles to be added to the coating composition are selected by selecting the type, particle size, and blending amount of the polymer constituting the core / shell polymer particles, thereby making the surface of the formed coating film a fine uneven surface.
