PS=(予荷重/πRisinφi)(sin((θ1−θ0)(RO−Ri)/(RO−RI))/sinφi)
ここで、(θ1−θ0)は、ベアリング傾斜角である。RO(図1)は、最も外側のスペーサの外半径であり、また、RI(図3)は、最も内側のスペーサの内半径である。下添え字iは、最も内側から、最も外側までの特定の層を表わしている。φiは、(βi+αi)/2である。

Claims (6)
- 第1の部材と第2の部材とを相対的に回転できるようにするスナッバ・システムであって、
長手方向の中心軸線を持つ両方向に凸状の外面部分を有しているスナッバ内部部材と、
前記外面部分に固定され、かつ、前記スナッバ内部部材を前記第2の部材に結合するシム/スペーサ積層部と、
前記スナッバ内部部材の1つまたは複数の係合面と協働する1つまたは複数の係合面を持つ保持部材であって、該保持部材に対する前記スナッバ内部部材の側方移動を抑制しつつ、該保持部材から離して前記スナッバ内部部材の長手方向の移動を可能にする保持部材と、
前記保持部材を前記第1の部材に固定するエラストマと、
を備えるスナッバ・システム。 - 前記シム/スペーサ積層部が、外方へ両方向に凸状のシム/スペーサ積層部であり、かつ、前記外方へ両方向に凸状のシム/スペーサ積層部を前記第2の部材に結合する平形のシム/スペーサ積層部をさらに備える請求項1に記載のスナッバ・システム。
- 前記スナッバ内部部材、前記シム/スペーサ積層部、前記保持部材、および前記エラストマは、第1のスナッバ内部部材、第1のシム/スペーサ積層部、第1の保持部材、および第1のエラストマであり、かつ、
前記長手方向の中心軸線を共有する両方向に凸状の外面部分を有している第2のスナッバ内部部材と、
軸方向に前記第1のスナッバ部材に対向して、前記第2のスナッバ内部部材の前記外面部分に固定され、かつ、前記第2のスナッバ内部部材を前記第2の部材に結合する第2のシム/スペーサ積層部と、
前記第2のスナッバ内部部材の係合面と協働する係合面を持つ第2の保持部材であって、該第2の保持部材に対する前記第2のスナッバ内部部材の側方移動を抑制しつつ、該第2の保持部材に対する前記第2のスナッバ内部部材の長手方向の移動を可能にする第2の保持部材と、
前記第2の保持部材を前記第1の部材に固定する第2のエラストマと、
をさらに備える請求項1に記載のスナッバ・システム。 - 前記シム/スペーサ積層部が、一つのユニットとして互いに固定された複数の金属製シムと複数のエラストメリック・スペーサから実質的に構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のスナッバ・システム。
- 前記スナッバ内部部材が、両方向に凸状の外面部分の内側寄り部分の外に、半径方向外向きに延びているフランジを持つことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のスナッバ・システム。
- 前記スナッバ内部部材の1つまたは複数の係合面が挿入穴の外周部分を含み、かつ、前記保持部材の1つまたは複数の係合面が外向きに突出した突起を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のスナッバ・システム。
