Description

The present invention relates to a guide roller for a sliding door of a vehicle.

As shown in FIG. 4, the slide door D that opens and closes the door opening E on the vehicle body side surface S of a one-box vehicle or the like is formed by an upper rail 80, a lower rail 85, and a center guide rail 86 installed on the vehicle body side. The upper roller 10, the lower roller 12 and the center roller 13 provided at three positions between the lower part and the rear end part of the door are supported so as to be able to roll and open and close.

As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the conventional upper roller 10 includes a metal inner ring 20 that is fixed through the support shaft 15 and a holding member 41 that holds a ball member 40 on the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring 20. And an outer ring 30 that is rotatably mounted via the wheel. The outer ring 30 includes a metal outer ring main body 31 and a synthetic resin covering portion 32 that covers the outer peripheral surface of the main body 31, and the upper surface of the outer ring main body 31 and the upper surface of the covering portion 32 are formed flush with each other. ing. The upper and lower sides of the gap between the inner ring 20 and the outer ring 30 are sealed with a sealing material 42 and filled with a lubricant 43.

In the upper roller 10, the support shaft 15 is erected on the tip of the arm member at the front edge of the upper edge of the slide door, and the outer ring 30 is held so as to be rotatable in the horizontal direction. The upper roller 10 is fitted in a substantially horizontal posture into the upper rail 80 having a substantially U-shaped cross section downward, and the outer peripheral surface of the covering portion 32 abuts against the inner surface of the side wall 82 of the upper rail 80 and can roll. Is engaged.

By the way, the slide door D is not only moved linearly in the front-rear direction, but also the slide door D is flush with the side surface S of the vehicle body when closed, and is moved outside the vehicle body by at least the thickness of the slide door D when opened. The front ends of the upper rail 80 and the lower guide rail 81 are greatly curved toward the vehicle interior side. Further, at the front end side of the upper rail 80, as described in Patent Document 1 below, the front end of the upper rail 80 is curved toward the vehicle inner side and is displaced obliquely toward the front obliquely upper side to be side portions of the vehicle compartment ceiling. The height is not restricted. Correspondingly, the upper roller 10 is supported at the base end of the arm member 61 at the upper portion of the front end of the door so as to be swingable in the vertical direction by the shaft member 60, and is urged upward to be the upper rail. It follows the displacement of the front end inclined portion 80 (FIG. 4).

However, in the conventional upper roller 10, the upper surface of the outer ring 30 is in contact with the lower surface of the upper wall 81 of the upper rail 80 due to the biasing force of the arm member 61. There was a problem that the metal rubbed against each other and generated abnormal noise.

Further, as another conventional guide roller, as described in Patent Document 2 below, a guide roller in which the upper surface of the outer ring of the guide roller is formed of a synthetic resin coating portion has been proposed. This is because the height of the outer ring main body is set to be lower than the covering portion covering the outer peripheral surface, and an extending portion is formed at the upper end of the covering portion so as to protrude upward from the outer ring main body. Thus, the upper surface of the outer ring main body is covered. The extending portion extends so as to cover the upper portion of the gap between the inner ring and the outer ring, and constitutes a sealing material for the lubricant. If such a guide roller is used for the upper roller, the metal of the guide rail and the upper roller will not rub against each other and no noise will be generated.

By the way, in the guide roller 10 installed on the swing type arm member 61, the support shaft 15 (rotation center axis CL) is tilted by the swing of the arm member 61 and the roller itself is tilted. In particular, when the sliding door is closed and moved, the arm member 61 swings upward when the guide roller 10 rolls from the front end curved portion of the upper rail 80 to the front end inclined portion. If the swinging operation is not matched, the rotation center axis CL of the guide roller 10 may be tilted with respect to the upper rail 80, and the guide roller 10 may roll while tilting (imaginary line in FIG. 6). This phenomenon is particularly likely to occur when the door is strongly closed. In this case, only the upper edge of the outer peripheral surface of the covering portion 32 is pressed against the inner surface of the side wall 82 of the upper rail 80 and the guide roller 10 rolls. For this reason, when the guide roller described in Patent Document 2 is used, the outer peripheral surface of the extension portion is pressed against the inner surface of the side wall of the upper rail, and the strength against the pressing is insufficient only with the extension portion. There is a risk of damage.
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-315775 JP-A-9-2075

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, the present invention provides a guide roller for a sliding door of a vehicle which does not break even if the support shaft (rotation center axis) of the guide roller is tilted with respect to the guide rail without causing any noise due to metal rubbing. It was made as an issue to do.

The present invention is provided so as to be in a substantially horizontal posture on a support shaft erected on the slide door side of the vehicle, and rolls in a rail portion having a substantially U-shaped cross section that opens downward from a guide rail installed on the vehicle body side. A guide roller for a sliding door, comprising: an inner ring fixed to the support shaft; and an outer ring rotatably held by the inner ring, wherein the outer ring is a metal outer ring main body, and an outer peripheral surface of the main body In the guide roller for a sliding door of a vehicle, which is composed of a synthetic resin covering portion fixed to the outer peripheral surface and fixed to the upper surface of the covering portion main portion covering the outer peripheral surface of the main body. And forming a step between the outer peripheral surface of the main portion and the outer peripheral surface of the protruding portion, and setting the outer diameter of the protruding portion to be smaller than the outer diameter of the main portion. The outer peripheral surface of the protruding portion is connected to the guide rail. Contact to (claim 1). Since the upper surface of the outer ring main body is covered with the protruding portion of the covering portion made of synthetic resin, the metal portion does not rub against the guide rail and the generation of abnormal noise is prevented. Even if the rotation center axis of the guide roller is inclined with respect to the guide rail, the outer peripheral surface of the protruding portion of the covering portion is not in contact with the guide rail, so that the protruding portion is not damaged.

The height of the step is set to be substantially the same as or slightly lower than the height of the upper surface of the outer ring main body. In the state where the rotation center axis of the guide roller is inclined with respect to the guide rail, the inner edge of the upper edge of the outer peripheral surface of the covering portion main portion contacting the inner surface of the guide rail is supported by the upper end of the outer ring main body, so that it is not damaged.

The guide rail is an upper rail that is installed along the upper edge of the door opening of the vehicle body and has a front end that curves inward and obliquely upward. An arm member is provided on the slide door so as to be swingable in the vertical direction. The arm member is provided with urging means for urging upward, and the guide roller is supported on the support shaft provided at the tip of the arm member. It is suitable as a guide roller for an upper rail whose front end is curved in the vehicle direction and obliquely upward.

According to the guide roller of the present invention, the metal portion is not rubbed against the guide rail and no abnormal noise is generated, and even if the rotation center axis of the guide roller is inclined with respect to the guide rail, it is reinforced by the outer ring main body. Since the upper edge of the outer peripheral surface of the main portion of the covering portion comes into contact with the inner surface of the guide rail, the covering portion is not damaged.

An embodiment in which the present invention is applied to an upper roller for an upper rail of a sliding door of a vehicle will be described. As shown in FIG. 2, the upper edge of the door opening E that is opened and closed by the slide door D on the side of the vehicle body is configured with a storage portion 72 that opens toward the vehicle exterior by a roof head lining 71 along the lower surface side edge of the roof 70. An upper rail 80 is installed in the storage portion 72.

The upper rail 80 is configured by a long body having a substantially U-shaped cross section that opens downward, and includes an upper wall 81 and side walls 82 and 83 bent downward from both left and right side edges of the upper wall 81. Further, the upper rail 80 has a front end that is gently extended toward the front and obliquely upward while being curved in the vehicle interior direction.

With respect to the upper rail 80, the slide door D is provided with an arm member 61 that protrudes into the storage portion 72 and supports the upper roller 10 at the front edge of the upper edge of the door frame. The arm member 61 is supported by a bearing bracket 62 whose base end is fixed to the vehicle interior surface of the door frame so as to be swingable in the vertical direction via the shaft member 60. The arm member 61 is biased upward by a biasing force of a spring member 63 as a biasing means provided on the outer periphery of the shaft member 60. This is because the rolling trajectory of the upper roller 10 is displaced following the inclined portion of the front end that is displaced obliquely upward in front of the front end of the upper rail 80. A support shaft 15 rising up is provided at the tip of the arm member 61, and an upper roller 10 is provided on the support shaft 15 so as to be able to roll horizontally.

As shown in FIG. 1, the upper roller 10 holds a metal inner ring 20 in which a support shaft 15 is fixed through a central through hole, and a plurality of ball members 40 on the outer periphery of the inner ring 20 at equal intervals. The outer ring 30 is rotatably mounted via a ring-shaped holding member 41. The upper and lower portions of the gap between the inner ring 20 and the outer ring 30 are sealed with a rubber plate ring-shaped sealing material 42 in which a core material is embedded, and a lubricant 43 is filled in the sealed gap. is there.

The outer ring 30 includes a metal outer ring main body 31 and a synthetic resin covering portion 32 that covers the outer peripheral surface thereof. For example, nylon or polyacetal resin is used as the material of the covering portion 32.

The covering portion 32 is integrally formed with a protruding portion 32 b that protrudes upward from the upper end of the main portion 32 a that covers the outer peripheral surface of the outer ring main body 31 and covers the upper surface 311 of the main body 31. Further, a step 320 is formed between the outer peripheral surface 321 of the main portion 32a and the outer peripheral surface 322 of the protruding portion 32b, and the outer diameter of the protruding portion 32b is made smaller than the outer diameter of the main portion 32a. The height position of the step, that is, the height position of the upper edge of the outer peripheral surface 321 of the main portion 32 a is set to be substantially the same as or slightly lower than the height position of the upper surface 311 of the main body 31.

The upper roller 10 configured as described above is fitted into the rail from the lower opening of the upper rail 80 so that the outer peripheral surface 321 of the main portion 32a of the covering portion 32 can roll on the inner surface of the side wall 82 on the outer side of the upper rail 80. In addition to being brought into contact with each other, the upper surface of the projecting portion 32b is slidably brought into contact with the lower surface of the upper wall 81 of the upper rail 80 by the upward biasing force of the arm member 61 and engaged. A bulging portion 811 bulging upward is formed in the upper wall 81 of the upper rail 80 in the center in the width direction, and the head of the support shaft 15 protruding upward from the upper roller 10 by the bulging portion 811. So as not to interfere with the upper surface of the inner ring 20 or the inner ring 20.

According to the upper roller 10 of the present embodiment, since the upper surface 311 of the metal outer ring main body 31 is covered with the protruding portion 32b of the covering portion 32 made of synthetic resin, the upper surface 311 of the main body 31 is the upper wall of the upper rail 80. 81 does not contact the lower surface, and no abnormal noise is generated when the sliding doors D are rubbed when the sliding door D is opened and closed.

Further, when the upper roller 10 rolls along the front end inclined portion that is displaced obliquely upward from the curved portion at the front end of the upper rail 80 when the slide door D is strongly closed, the upper roller 80 is moved relative to the upper rail 80. Even if the rotation center axis CL of −10 is inclined and the upper roller 10 rolls in an inclined state, a step is formed between the outer peripheral surface 321 of the covering portion main portion 32a and the outer peripheral surface 322 of the protruding portion 32b. Since the outer diameter of the protrusion 32b is reduced by providing 320, the upper edge of the outer peripheral surface 321 of the main portion 32a abuts on the inner surface of the side wall 82 of the upper rail 80 as shown in FIG. 3, and the outer peripheral surface 322 of the protrusion 32b. Is not in contact with the side wall 82. This is a structure in which the protrusion 32b covers the upper surface 311 of the outer ring main body 311 from above, and the strength is weak against the load force acting in the lateral direction (the radial direction of the roller). By doing so, the protrusion 32b is prevented from being damaged by preventing a lateral load from being applied to the protrusion 32b. On the other hand, the upper edge of the outer peripheral surface 321 of the main portion 32a pressed against the inner surface of the side wall 82 of the upper rail 80 has an outer ring main body 311 on the inner diameter side thereof, which serves as a support and has a high strength against the pressing and is damaged.
