Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a cover opening / closing device comprising: a cover that switches between a closed state that covers the opening by rotation and an open state that opens the opening; and an open / closed state detecting means that detects the open / closed state of the cover. The present invention also relates to an ink jet recording apparatus and a liquid ejecting apparatus including the same.
Here, the liquid ejecting apparatus uses an ink jet recording head, and is not limited to a recording apparatus such as a printer, a copying machine, and a facsimile machine that discharges ink from the recording head to perform recording on a recording medium. And a device that ejects a liquid corresponding to the application from a liquid ejecting head corresponding to the ink jet recording head to an ejected medium corresponding to a recording medium, and adheres the liquid to the ejected medium. .
In addition to the recording head, as a liquid ejecting head, a color material ejecting head used for manufacturing a color filter such as a liquid crystal display, and an electrode material (conductive paste) used for forming an electrode such as an organic EL display or a surface emitting display (FED) Examples thereof include an ejection head, a bioorganic matter ejection head used for biochip production, and a sample ejection head as a precision pipette.
An example of the recording apparatus or the liquid ejecting apparatus is an ink jet printer. The inkjet printer has a slot (opening) that can be directly attached to a digital still camera without requiring a connection with a personal computer, etc., and the inkjet printer can perform recording operations alone. There is a possibility (so-called stand-alone printer).
In addition, there is a type of ink jet printer in which an ink cartridge is not provided in the carriage but is fixed to the printer main body, and such an ink jet printer has an opening for inserting and removing the ink cartridge. The
As described above, an ink jet printer may be provided with an opening in order to detachably mount various elements. Such an opening can be freely opened and closed to prevent entry of dust and the like and to improve the appearance. It is common to cover with a cover. An example of such a cover is shown in
Here, for example, in the case of a configuration in which the ink cartridge is fixedly provided on the printer main body side without being provided on the carriage, the ink cartridge may be pulled out by the user even during printing, and therefore the ink cartridge insertion / removal opening It is desirable to provide a sensor for detecting the open / closed state of the cover that covers the printing unit so that printing is not executed when the cover is open. Similarly, even in the case of a cover that covers a slot in which a memory card can be inserted, there is a possibility that the memory card may be removed by the user even during data access. Therefore, a sensor that detects the open / closed state of the cover is provided. It is desirable that the read / write operation is not performed on the memory card in the open state.
As an example of the configuration of the sensor that detects the open / closed state of the cover, there is a sensor lever that can be engaged with the cover and a detection unit that detects the displacement of the sensor lever. In some cases, when the cover is closed, the closed state of the cover is detected by pressing the sensor lever, and when the cover is opened, the open state of the cover is detected by moving the cover away from the sensor lever.
By the way, the cover may provide a slight play in the direction of the rotation axis for smooth rotation. In such a configuration, when an impact such as dropping is applied to the inkjet printer, the cover moves in the direction of the rotation axis, and as a result, an unexpected force is applied to the lever that engages the cover, causing the lever to break. There is a fear. However, on the other hand, if the play of the cover in the direction of the rotational axis is eliminated, a smooth rotational operation cannot be performed, and a high part accuracy is required, resulting in an increase in cost.
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of such problems, and the object of the present invention is to prevent damage to the lever when the cover is moved by an impact such as dropping, while ensuring a smooth rotation of the cover and cost. It is to surely prevent without inviting up.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, a first aspect of the present invention detects a cover that switches between a closed state that covers an opening and an open state that opens the opening by rotating, and an open / closed state of the cover An opening / closing state detection means, wherein the opening / closing state detection means detects a sensor lever engageable with an engaged portion formed on the cover, and detects a displacement of the sensor lever. And when the cover is closed, the engaged portion pushes the sensor lever to detect the closed state of the cover. When the cover is opened, the engaged portion is moved to the sensor lever. The cover is configured so that the open state of the cover is detected by moving away from the cover, and a portion of the engaged portion with which the sensor lever abuts is formed by a surface extending in the rotation axis direction of the cover. And butterflies.
According to the above aspect, in the engaged portion with which the sensor lever is engaged in the cover, the portion with which the sensor lever abuts is formed by a surface extending in the rotation axis direction of the cover. Even if the cover moves in the rotation axis direction with the sensor lever in contact with the engaged portion, the engaged portion does not apply force to the sensor lever, and the sensor lever is smooth. Therefore, the sensor lever can be reliably prevented from being damaged. Further, since it is not necessary to eliminate play in the direction of the rotation axis of the cover, a smooth rotation operation of the cover is ensured, and it is not necessary to improve the accuracy of parts, so that the cost is not increased.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect, a portion of the engaged portion with which the sensor lever abuts is formed by a flat surface.
According to the above aspect, since the portion with which the sensor lever abuts is formed by a flat surface in the engaged portion, the sensor lever moves in the detection direction even if the cover moves in the rotational axis direction. Therefore, erroneous detection of the open / closed state of the cover can be prevented.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, there is provided an urging means for urging the cover in a rotation axis direction of the cover.
According to the above aspect, since the cover has a biasing means for biasing the cover in the direction of the rotation axis of the cover, play in the direction of the rotation axis of the cover is provided to perform a smooth rotation operation. While maintaining, the positional deviation of the cover in the rotation axis direction can be reduced or prevented. Even when an impact or the like is applied to the apparatus, the cover is difficult to move in the direction of the rotation axis, so that the sensor lever can be more reliably prevented from being damaged.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, a carriage having an ink jet recording head for recording on a recording medium, a detachable ink cartridge provided independently from the carriage, and the ink cartridge is inserted and removed by rotating. 4. The apparatus according to
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, there is provided a carriage having a liquid ejecting head for recording on an ejected medium, a detachable liquid cartridge provided independently from the carriage, and the liquid cartridge being inserted and removed by rotating. A cover that switches between a closed state that covers the opening for opening and an open state that opens the opening, and a cover opening and closing device that includes an opening and closing state detecting means for detecting the opening and closing state of the cover, the opening and closing state The detecting means includes a sensor lever that can be engaged with an engaged portion formed on the cover, and a detecting portion that detects displacement of the sensor lever. When the cover is closed, the engaged portion is The closed state of the cover is detected by pressing the sensor lever, and when the cover is opened, the open state of the cover is detected by moving the engaged portion away from the sensor lever. Is configured to be issued, the said parts sensor lever abuts the engaged portion is a liquid-jet apparatus characterized by being made by a surface extending in the rotation axis direction of the cover.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the following, first, an overall configuration of an ink jet printer (hereinafter abbreviated as “printer”) 1 as an example of an “ink jet recording apparatus” and a “liquid ejecting apparatus” according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The description will be given with reference. Here, FIG. 1 is an external perspective view of the

Next, the internal configuration of the
The feeding
A
The above is the

A free-

The

As shown in FIGS. 4, 6, and 7,

As shown in FIG. 7A, the
On the other hand, in the closed state of the
Here, a portion of the engaged
This is due to the following reason. That is, as described above, the
However, in the engaged
As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, a
That is, if the
Therefore, by using this, the
