リ−ル本体の一方の側板に設けたハンドル回転操作で連動回転する両側が軸受で支持されるピニオンを、外部の切換操作で軸方向に移動してスプ−ル側に設けたクラッチ係合部に係脱可能とし、リ−ル本体に回転自在に支持したスプ−ルを釣糸巻き取り状態とスプ−ルフリ−状態に切り換えるクラッチ機構を備えた魚釣用リ−ルにおいて、前記ピニオンの軸受部外周、又は、前記軸受の内周側に、軸方向に向けて凹溝を形成したことを特徴とする魚釣用リ−ル。
